LIVE YOUR BEST LIFE WITH GOD, PERIOD!!!

That’s my testimony, baby! I’m going with this verse:

“I (God) will instruct you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you.” – Psalm 32:8

And this is where I find my purpose and joy in sharing with you all the details of my life and how I personally experience this intimacy with God and how He guides my life and shows up for me. Like in arguing with a lawyer this week about my faith in God, I shared this verse with him:

“You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.” – Jeremiah 29:13

I explained that God is like a shy person, waiting in the background of our lives for us to invite Him in; He doesn’t force Himself on us. But if we seek Him wholeheartedly, He will make us aware of His presence. Fast forward, less than two hours later, I’m having an appointment with God on our family’s website. Unbelievably, this verse showed up from a time when I spoke to some people about it over five years ago! I immediately sent it to this person, saying, “Wink! Wink!” No way this lined up as some ordinary coincidence; this very verse I shared from the entire Bible showed up in a down, tired moment I was having! It was a wink from God at both of us! I smiled with God, having no doubt whatsoever that this was Him revealing another glimmer of His invisible presence with me as if saying, “I’m right here with You, My Nik!”

And these glimmers of God’s Presence are what give me the courage, peace, and joy to take on my life knowing God Himself is with me, behind me, ahead of me, and within me, loving, guiding me along the best path for my life. Even when the journey gets tough, I know it’s still all in the hands of a very loving God who knows what’s best for me in every moment. I’m grateful even for the difficulties, because they bring me closer to God, deepening my spiritual strength and making me more and more into the person He would have me to be. I tell God not to go easy on me if I want to be this tough soldier on His behalf in the world, God, bring it on!!! Because I trust and know that whatever God allows to happen to me is best for me!

Make today the day you commit to walking even more closely with God! It was a prayer I said some seventeen years ago: ‘God, I want a closer walk with You’ that has guided me on this beautiful path walking with God, all day, every day, and I want the entire world here with me where we continually seek God in everything we do, everywhere we go, and everything we say, doing it all for His glory! Amen!

GOD WANTS US TO FORGIVE OURSELVES, TOO!!!

That’s the message from Him this morning by my prayer altar. This God wink started yesterday when I felt this strong nudge from Him to attend the Breakfast and Bible group. Your girl was hungover from drinking one glass of wine, and I started arguing with that feeling, but I felt God saying that, despite that, I should still attend. So, I’m in the group, confessing that I was a little bit out of it, and the group’s moderator, Indira, out of the blue, chimes in, telling me I needed to forgive myself. I was blown away because it’s truly something I’ve been struggling with and beating myself about lately. I thanked her for that perfectly timed message.

Fast forward to this morning, God continued the discussion about forgiving myself when asking Him what page of our family’s website I should go to to hear from Him, can you believe out of 149 webpages, He took me back to a post from Ceri that I shared from three years ago where he shared this same issue with the Breakfast and Bible group about forgiving himself? No way this all lined up as a regular coincidence. GOD HIMSELF WANTS US TO FORGIVE OURSELVES!!!! Enough from me, though, here’s that post from Ceri:

So I want to read from the book of Isaiah 43:18-19, and it says,

“Forget the former things;

do not dwell on the past.
See, I am doing a new thing!

Now it springs up; do you not perceive it?
I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.”

These verses are very impactful because God reminds us of a few things. Like forget the former things… basically forget about your past. He tells us not to dwell on it. Don’t keep reminding yourself of your past. Like your past is your past, and you can’t change it, but the one thing you can change in life is your future. And the way you change your future is through the steps you take today. The decisions you make today can determine your tomorrow…

Everyone deserves a second chance, but the reality is that we all have a past. There’s not one person sitting on the stage, there’s not one person walking this planet who has done everything in their life that’s right in God’s eyesight. None of us. Every single one of us falls short of the glory of God. So, who are we to go there and comment on someone for their past or for things they’ve done? Who are we to decide how their future is or what they will be in life? That decision doesn’t rest with us and doesn’t sit well with me when people try to do it.

Because imagine if I had sat back and allowed people to tell me who I was going to be. Imagine if I had sat back and accepted that I couldn’t forgive myself for the things that I did. It took me a long time – it took me meeting all of y’all in here and telling me, boy, get over it – forgive yourself. Move on. God has renewed you and restored you. When I got baptized last year, the words the Pastor told me always stuck and will stick with me for the rest of my life: “WHEN YOU GO UNDERNEATH THIS WATER AND COME BACK UP, YOU’RE A NEW PERSON. And I’ve been living like that. Everyone deserves that chance. Everyone deserves that opportunity because God gave it to me.”

God, help us all forgive ourselves and others for the past, and keep moving forward with You as our Life Partner and Guide, forgetting the former things and being excited about the NEW lives You have planned for us. Amen!

CAN I BRAG ABOUT MY BROTHER, JASON, TODAY?

I can’t get over him and how he has been sticking with his baby sister here and giving me such great advice. Like one morning, I was stuck, overwhelmed by a situation, and paralyzed over what direction to take. He called, saying, ‘Nik, what are you doing by your God tree? Get to work!!!” He explained that when you get out, that’s where you will meet people. You will figure things out. You will get direction and clarity as to how to move forward. FACE YOUR CHALLENGES HEAD-ON WITH GOD. Can you believe I rushed out to work that day, and that God had already figured something out? GOD CAN MAKE A WAY WHERE THERE SEEMS TO BE NO WAY!!!!

That’s my testimony! As we keep showing up, doing our best in the physical realm, God is at work in the spiritual realm, tweaking situations on our behalf. This verse from Exodus 14:14 has been my personal experience with God:

“The LORD will fight for you; you need only to be still.”

And being still is not in a lazy, careless way. It’s still about showing up and doing THE BEST YOU CAN, CONTINUALLY WITH YOUR EYES FIXED ON GOD on what He would have you to do (or not do), where to go (or not go), and what to say (or not say). I’m talking about living life with one foot on earth and the other in heaven, where we are having conversations with God Himself, directing us. That’s faith, baby!

I want us all excited about our relationship with God! As Jason and I agreed, he is teaching me about business. Still, I’m teaching him about walking closer with God as our business and everything else Partner. Yes, Jason was right that I didn’t need to be stuck at the God tree all day, but don’t get it twisted: that daily meeting with God is crucial for us to learn His voice and direction for our lives – God has great things to say to us!

Let me tell ya, I would be running to that God tree in the dark, listening to my prayer on YouTube from the Daily Prayer with God. Then I would sit down close to the tree and ask God where He would have me go to read (I love our website: werollwithgod.com!) that would tap into His voice and what He would have to say to me. Then, I stay until I feel what I call my high five from Him. God will always find some way to give me a glimmer of His Presence.

And truly, this awareness of God’s Presence with me is what gives me the joy, courage, and peace to take on my life, KNOWING without any doubts I have God Himself fighting with me! He is with you, too! Wake up every day and have your alone time with God, and then start paying attention to His voice and direction all day! YOU DON’T GO WRONG WITH GOD!!! This relationship is too important to snooze on!

GOD CONFIRMED THAT IT WAS HIM WHO SHOWED UP!!!!!!!

In case you missed it, I shared this in yesterday’s blog:

So, the story didn’t end there! When hubby kept asking me last night on the way home if I wanted some grilled chicken from his fav suya spot, I just repeatedly said, “Whatever my king wants, I want!” He said I should stay in the car while he went to pick it up, and I took it as the perfect opportunity to have an appointment with God. Of all my meditation books, can you believe God took me directly to this message in the Jesus Calling Devotional for Kids, written as if God is speaking directly to us:

“You Can Find Me (God) (Wink! Wink!)

“You can find Me in every minute of every day, if you have eyes that are looking and ears that are listening. Ask My Spirit to help you see and hear Me better. Practice looking and listening for me in the world around you, and gradually you will see and hear more. Search for Me with all your heart—and you will find Me.”

And the very verse quoted at the end, my peeps: Jeremiah 29:13!

Nobody can say all this lined up as a regular coincidence!!! Another one of my glimmers from God (winks!) when everything lines up a little bit too perfectly. See the deep, deep, deep love I feel from God? For Him to orchestrate that alone time in the car, for me to pick that specific book and message to read while waiting those few minutes for hubby, to reveal His Presence there with me, is the unfathomable love I want the entire world to experience for themselves. NOBODY WILL LOVE YOU THE WAY GOD LOVES YOU!!!!! Make today the day you start practicing listening and looking out for His invisible Presence, which can show up anywhere! Sweet!

“YOU’RE IN THIS PICTURE WITH US!”

That was me to my angel/brother, Kevin, a short while ago. Even coaches need coaches and Kevin has been my coach sent specially by God to guide my life. No joke! He would say to me, “Neeks, call me 100 times a day if you need me!” And if I dare tell him I had a bad day and I didn’t call him, he would be upset at me! Hubs still doesn’t like our close relationship, but I try my best to explain that our relationship was established by God so we can do some important work in the world on God’s behalf. Like, check out this old post that came up in my appointment with God today:

CAN YOU STOP TALKING ABOUT YOUR BROTHER, KEVIN, SO MUCH?

This was a comment I got yesterday, and I did an entire video about it, but it had a technical glitch, and I had to throw it out. So, today, it’s all about my brother, Kevin, and all the remarkable advice he is giving me. It’s my privilege and honor to share with you guys my top six pieces of advice from him:

1.“NEEKS, ALL I CAN TELL YOU IS TO GET CLOSER TO GOD. MAKE HIM YOUR PRIORITY!” I ran with this by listening to Dr. Charles Stanley on YouTube, and he has taken my FAITH in God to an entirely new level. FAITH CHANGES EVERYTHING ABOUT YOUR LIFE!!! I had a terrible night sleeping, and I replayed his sermons repeatedly, reminded that I’m to follow God’s will. I’m with Jesus, asking God to give me the strength and the grace to do His will, not what the crazy lady inside of me wants to do:

“Jesus faced his trepidation over the upcoming suffering he would endure on the cross by praying for strength to do his Father’s will. Instead of letting fear overwhelm him or sink him into despair, Jesus dropped to his knees and prayed, “Father, not my will, but yours be done.”

I will joyfully and lovingly carry my crosses all for the glory of God! My reward is with Him, who exceeds my expectations! When I die, I want Him to say, “Well done my good and faithful servant! Amen!

1.“NEEKS, I WANT YOU TO WORK ON BEING A WISE WOMAN” For me, that means constant conversations with God about everything. To constantly look at my life from God’s perspective: What would He have me to say? Where would He have me to go? What would He have me to do?
“The LORD says, “I will guide you along the best pathway for your life. I will advise you and watch over you.” – Psalm 32:8
2.“NEEKS, ALL I CAN TELL YOU IS TO BE PATIENT RIGHT NOW!” Those words continue to carry me through a rough life patch. I’m learning to be patient with everyone, including myself. Yesterday, I got goosebumps all over talking with our business manager about how we were so busy. So many times, I quoted to him, “It’s all about patience, bro!” The patience is working so much that you guys can call me, “Nikki So Patient! Kevin explained that he made many good decisions because he was patient. I’m in total agreement. I’m praying for God to continue to give me the strength to be patient. Amen.
3.“MARRIAGE IS LIKE A TEAM. WHEN ONE PERSON IS WEAK, THE OTHER SHOULD BE THE STRONG ONE AND VICE VERSA.” Hubby and I go through our ups and downs, but we’ve been having each other’s backs and supporting each other for the last 20 years! We have our share of dark nights, but always with the hope that our best days are still out ahead of us. I say we ain’t perfect, but we’re pretty close! All glory goes to God, who makes everything beautiful in His time.
4.“IF JESUS CAN ASK GOD TO FORGIVE THE PEOPLE WHO NAILED HIM TO THE CROSS, WHO ARE WE TO WITHHOLD FORGIVENESS FROM ANYONE?” Forgiveness is something you don’t do for the other person, you really do it for yourself. I’m learning to hand over all disappointments to God. When others are unfair, I remember God’s ways with me are more than fair! NOBODY CAN LOVE ME BETTER THAN HE CAN! I suck up His love and approval while I endlessly forgive everyone else for everything!
5.“DON’T ASK GOD TO FOLLOW YOU; YOU FOLLOW GOD! BE GOD’S ANGEL! And following God has led my life on a pretty gorgeous path! Not always easy following God’s will, but always so worth it. God’s ways are so much better than our human ways! I’m to the point that I use all the negativity in the world as fuel to up my game in being a better wife, mother, and person, SUPERHERO STYLE. GOD IS LOVE!
Thanks, K! I will forever be thanking God for you!!! Everyone needs a K in their life!

“I HOPE YOU TOOK MY ADVICE AND LEFT YOUR HUSBAND!!!”

That was from one of my friends/customers, whom I called to thank for all the positive corrections he has given me over the years of our relationship. I responded, “I will never leave my husband. That’s my person for life! Whatever we must go through, we will go through it together!!!” I was upset that he divorced his wife, telling me he wasn’t happy. I told him that when you get married, it’s a vow before God to stay together through the good, bad, and ugly. I haven’t seen my hubby and sons in almost a year, but I’m more committed than ever to my family. We are a team, and I always do my best to make the best decisions for our team, not my personal happiness. My happiness goes to the back seat while I ask God to help me be the wife, mom, and person He would have me be. I’m going for the greatest of all time person, all for the glory of God, and I want the entire world here with me.

“Sorry for calling you all the time crying, J!” That was me to my brother, Jason, today! God honestly melts my heart with all the love and support he surrounds me with – I have an entire support crew! I called Jason from the paint store where I was looking to purchase the color he advised me to get for the walls of our business. Without the husband around, Jason comes in and advises me on how to improve. I finally bit the bullet and took his advice on updating our floors. I called him to tell him how great it was working out. Jason is teaching me all about risk-taking. After a meeting with my team about it, they told me not to do it. I told them either we have faith in God that things will work out or we don’t have faith in God. Guys, I went out on a limb with God, feeling it was a nudge from Him to go ahead with the floors. Now, my team is thanking me for stepping out in faith as they already see the difference the floors have made. THANK YOU, JASON AND GOD!!!!

This is why we need to develop a close relationship with God so that we can feel His direction as to what He would have us to do in every aspect of our lives- business, relationships, health, even weaknesses we need to tackle. ANY AND EVERYTHING I WANT US TALKING TO GOD ABOUT IT!!! Pray without ceasing! I want us all to roll with God on the daily feeling and experiencing His Presence. But we must take the time to meet with Him, having those alone times where you read or listen to anything spiritual that makes you feel like you are connected to God. Like me with my ‘Words of Wisdom’ from my brother from God, Ceri, that’s available on our We Roll with God YouTube channel. I promise you with all my heart Ceri shows up to record them, but God takes over and speaks through Ceri as to His principles and values and how He would have us conduct ourselves in the world. Ceri loves these verses, and they have become engrained in me, too:

“Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive one another if any of you has a grievance against someone. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity.” – Colossians 3:12-14

I got to see my walking Bible – my brother, Kevin, and he said one thing that has stuck with me: THE WORLD MUST LEARN THAT NOBODY’S PERFECT. So, as we want God to love us unconditionally for our faults and weaknesses, He asks us to do the same for others. Not always easy, but by God’s strength, may we be His loving representatives in the world loving and supporting each other. So help us, God!

I MUST MAKE YOU UNDERSTAND, GOD WANTS TO BE YOUR MAN

That’s my mission from God! Our GREATEST STRENGTH is knowing we have God Himself walking with us in every moment. He is our beautiful Partner and Guide on this adventure we call life. It’s just for us to prioritize Him by developing a relationship with Him where we can learn His voice and direction for every moment, KNOWING His invisible Presence ALWAYS stands strong with us.

Like I can’t get over a prayer from my daughter, Julie yesterday. She thanked God that we KNOW Him. That’s where I want us all! Not just knowing about God, but KNOWING Him for yourself. Like Julie and I followed God’s voice with the number 211, we felt God was saying she should attend a specific New York university. So much so that I said if she didn’t go to this university, God Himself would be mad at me. Now we both understand why!

Julie recently started an internship with a lawyer who has completely taken her under her wing and is teaching my daughter every aspect of the law, from researching to speaking with prisoners and developing strategies to defend them with other lawyers. Next week, she is going to the state capital of New York to actually sit at the table where they actually discuss the laws that may be enacted in the state; NOBODY CAN TELL ME THAT THIS IS NOT THE FAVOR OF GOD WALKING WITH MY DAUGHTER!!!

God is very mysterious and genius in how He communicates with us, but it’s up to us to learn His voice and obey Him. Julie and I are so in sync with this 211 that I started crying yesterday when she sent me a picture of how God had the 211 and the number 117 to line up in the Nike Club Running app out on her run yesterday. 117 is the number where God says to us that His invisible Presence is with us, so both 211 and 117 are special to us. The reason I cried was because the very day before, I saw a bus with the number 21117, and I smiled with God feeling that was a communication between Him and me, so for my daughter to send me that picture of those numbers together feeling it was God speaking to HER just left me feeling so overwhelmingly loved my God. He knows every thought we think!!! Like who are we that the Creator of the university would have me see that bus number 21117 to remind me of his Presence and then have those numbers appear less than 24 hours later to let my daughter know that He was with her too?

That’s the love we want you to KNOW for yourself. You learn God’s voice through a practical experience where you follow where you feel He is leading you, and then you see what happens from there. That experience of feeling that the 211 was God saying Julie should go to that university has worked out so well that we have no doubt that it was HIS DIRECTION. So, as you practice, practice, and practice some more listening to what you feel God would have you to do, the better you get at it, and you will KNOW Him and His voice when he is speaking to you. THIS IS HOW HE GUIDES US ON THE BEST PATHS FOR OUR LIVES!!!!

But you must set aside alone times with Him every day where you read or listen to anything spiritual that you feel takes you close to Him. I love our new playlist on YouTube called Rolling With God on the Daily! Wink! Wink! NOTHING MORE IMPORTANT THAN LEARNING GOD’S VOICE AND DIRECTION FOR YOUR LIFE!!!! MAKE GOD YOUR TOP PRIORITY AND FOCUS, ASKING HIM TO HELP YOU MAKE THE WISEST DECISIONS IN THE 1,000 DECISIONS YOU MAKE EVERY DAY!!!

It doesn’t matter if you are at your lowest right now. Say a prayer and ask God to be a part of your life. No situation is too difficult for Him to help you get back on track. You must learn His voice, though, and be obedient to Him. Even if you fall a million times, He can help you get back up a million and one. Tell Him that today is the day you want to start walking closer with Him! Amen!

“ON MY UGLIEST DAYS, YOU SAY THAT YOU’LL ALWAYS LOVE ME JUST THE SAME”

“And then You remind me that You’re holding me tight
You said the past is behind me and it will be alright”– Where Do I Fit In, Justin Bieber

That’s my testimony, too!!! The way God finds all these ways to let me know that He is ALWAYS with me, just blows the God Maniac here away! Like I started a new YouTube playlist called Rolling With God on the Daily and out of almost 800 videos, one played about how the word “Synergy” appeared in an appointment with God years ago, and ever since then, its become a special word between me and God that even in my weakest moments He is my strength.

Fast forward to me going to the food store later on that night. I started crying when I saw these bottles of Kombucha named Synergy. The reason I cried was because I thought back to my lowest of moments and how God has been with me to bring me back to my feet. His love! I knew it was another glimmer of God’s Presence with Him taking my attention to those bottles to remind me that He was with me. It was another one of those updates from God that He gives us throughout the day when we know His voice.

Fast forward to the very next morning, my phone glitched, and I had no internet. Instead of going to our family’s website where I usually go for my morning appointment with God, I continued reading from a meditation book on my phone, and look what incredibly showed up:

“LEARN TO LEAN ON ME more and more. I know the full extent of your weakness, and that is where My powerful Presence meets you! MY STRENGTH AND YOUR WEAKNESS FIT TOGETHER PERFECTLY—IN A WONDERFUL SYNERGY (Wink! Wink!) designed long before your birth. Actually, My Power is most effective in weakness. This is counterintuitive and mysterious, yet it is true.

It is important to lean on Me when you’re feeling inadequate or overwhelmed. Remind yourself that you and I together are more than adequate. To sense my nearness, try closing your hand as if you’re holding on to Mine. For I take hold of your right hand and say to you, “Do not fear; I will help you.” – Jesus Always

That was no coincidence! It was another one of my God winks orchestrated by God Himself down to having had that glitch to happen with my phone’s internet just so He can tell us all that He wants us all learning to lean on Him! Just like that Justin Bieber song says, on our ugliest days, He loves us just the same! Make this year your year to start walking more closely with God in every moment. No matter where you are, even at your ugliest and lowest, He is there waiting for you with open arms. GOD, PULL US ALL CLOSER TO YOU!!!! Then hear Him say, “Do not fear; I will help you.” – Wink! Wink!

GOD, I’M SO INTO YOU

That’s the song I’m now singing to God because He finds all these ways to reveal His Presence with me. The love! The love! The love He shows me is so intense that I want to say, ‘God, I’m all Yours!!! May my entire life glorify You!!!!’ And I want the whole world here with me, not missing out on one nanosecond of rolling with Papa GOD, baby!

I can’t get over how I had a talk with my new car detailing guy, Kari before we closed up the shop together on Thursday night. I said to him, “This business is my cross right now to carry. We must be like Jesus in the world and carry our crosses on behalf of God.” Fast forward to the next day, and it was Good Friday, where we remember when Jesus carried his cross, I woke up stressing over this cross (our family’s business), and I said let me see what God had to say to me in my meditation book, and look what I directly opened up to:

“CARRY IT (YOUR CROSS) JOYFULLY, LOVINGLY. Carry it generously and you will learn to hide it from those around you, as you would hide a treasure. Hide it behind a generous smile and you will discover in the depths of your soul, what our Lord’s words mean when he says, ‘My yoke is easy and my burden is light’ (Mt 11:30); for he, the good Cyrenean of souls will help you carry it.” – Jesus As Friend by Salvatore Canals

Honestly, my heart just melted! Honestly, who am I for God to show me such love and attention? I woke up all anxious and stressed (your girl is not used to all this pressure!), and God lovingly showed up as if saying, “Nik, don’t stress, my boo. You can carry this cross joyfully because I am here to help you.”

And help me, God has been doing! Knowing I’m not tackling this dealership alone and that God Himself is my Partner brings me such peace. I tell our staff that we must show up, do our best, and leave the rest with God.

Everything we do is between us and God! Don’t worry about what anyone else is doing; do what you feel God is asking you to do and be obedient to Him! I promise you, this is the way to the best life with God. Kari has inspired me so much! He takes his prayer times seriously, and he has inspired me to up my game and connection with God.

I want the entire world here with us. Let’s make rolling with God on a daily a lifestyle where we are looking to God in every example, every decision, every circumstance, and every decision, seeking to do what it is He would have us to do. May we all be God’s representatives in the world where we go overboard in love, loyalty, patience, kindness, gentleness, and faithfulness. I say I’m loyal to a fault, but God Himself rewards that loyalty. The way God shows up for me in every aspect of my life, I say God, anything to please you, let me learn. Amen.
