Julie was a witness yesterday to God’s voice. And I want you to be a witness today too. Because God is not quiet. He is always speaking. It’s just for us to learn His voice — moment by moment.
Here are my God Updates from the last 48 hours. No coincidences.
GOD UPDATE #1: THE PENNY ON THE BUS
We were driving to Chilli’s and a bus stopped right next to us. I pointed to it and said, “Jules, look at the penny on the bus!” It was the Penny for Transportation bus — and right on the penny it said IN GOD WE TRUST.
I was staring at it because my brother Kevin had just told me, “Nik, people are not going to relate when you say God. When you say We Roll With God, people are going to take offense.” And I told him, “Well, if the United States government can print IN GOD WE TRUST on their money, on every penny, on every bus, I’m going with the God brand. The God brand is strong, baby. We Roll With God.”
Two hours later — after we left Chili’s and went for coffee — who called me? Of all the people in the world who could call me looking for a car? Penny. A woman named Penny called to buy a car. We stared at the Penny. And Penny called. And she called again first thing this morning.
GOD WHISPER #1: Nik, I’m All Up In Your Business
My daughter, I parked that bus next to you on purpose. I wanted you to see IN GOD WE TRUST because you needed an answer for Kevin. If the government can put My name on money, you can put My name on cars. And to prove I’m in it, I sent Penny for Transportation to buy transportation from you. I am all up in your business — every conversation, every car lot, every doubt. Pay attention. That was an update from Me. — Romans 8:28, I work all things together.
GOD UPDATE #2: BEAUTIFUL IN HIS TIME
While we were at Chili’s, I was trying to caption a picture of my son and Jojo. I paused and said, “God, what do I caption this?” The verse that came was: He has made everything beautiful in its time — Ecclesiastes 3:11.
Fast forward to this morning. My daily prayer — and this prayer is fresh every day specifically for me — said this:
“For people who wondered why the promises of God seemed slow. His answer was that God is not slack concerning His promise as some count slackness. What looks like slowness to us is patience in the heart of God. Consider what the writer of Ecclesiastes tells us that God has made everything beautiful in its time.”
The SAME verse I got at the Chili’s table! I was just staring at my son, Emmy. Guys, these boys have been through it. They went to school here in the US. I took them out and put them in Nigeria. Then I took them out of Nigeria and put them back here. A rollercoaster. And now look at them growing to be fine young men making mama so proud. That’s beautiful in His time.
GOD WHISPER #2: Nik, I Make It Beautiful In My Time, Not Yours
You thought the school moves, the waiting, the slow promises were failures. No. What looks like slowness to you is patience in My heart. I was preparing them and preparing you. Your sons are My proof that I make everything beautiful — not when you want it, but right on time. — Ecclesiastes 3:11
GOD UPDATE #3: SAY LESS
I was dropping Joshy off to school this morning. A car right in front of me — the license plate said SAY LESS. I took that as an update from God. Nik, talk less. Even Joshy gets tired of me talking sometimes!
GOD WHISPER #3: Nik, My Grace Is Sufficient — So You Can Say Less
Remember this morning at your God Tree you heard Me whisper, “My grace is sufficient for you”? — 2 Corinthians 12:9. That was Me telling you: you don’t have to explain, defend, and talk your way into your promise. My grace does the talking. Say less. Let My grace be enough.
And that whisper was confirmed THREE times today — at the God Tree, in Joel Osteen’s post that said “My grace is sufficient for you, Nikki,” and when Julie randomly picked a page where I had written about that same verse years ago after a T.D. Jakes sermon. Triple witness!
GOD UPDATE #4: WORK HARDER — JULIE MODE
Even on a Sunday, Julie said, “Mommy, let’s go to the coffee shop, I have work to do.” That was another update. My daughter preaching to me: work harder. So the word for this season is: Say Less. Work Harder. Julie Mode. Preparation does not happen in the future. It happens in the present, in the ordinary tasks and the unseen obedience of today.
GOD UPDATE #5: DO NOT DESPISE SMALL BEGINNINGS
I told my bro I want to start this church at the Hard Rock Hotel. He said, “Nik, you gotta do it big. You gotta do a big event.” I said, “No, K. We must not despise small beginnings because that is where God loves for us to begin the work. Even if it’s the tiniest meeting room at Hard Rock, we’re going to start a conversation about God.”
Then listen to what showed up in the prayer this morning:
“The servant who is faithful over a few things is the one who is made ruler over many. The way you handle this season, the attitude you carry, and the integrity you keep when no one is watching are all part of the training. Do not despise the day of small things, for the Lord rejoices to see the work begin.” — Zechariah 4:10 & Matthew 25:21
It only takes a spark to get the fire going.
GOD WHISPER #4: Nik, I Rejoice To See The Work Begin
You don’t need a stadium at Hard Rock. I need a faithful heart in a small room. You thought it was too small? I rejoice over small! Your penny on the bus was small. Your stare was small. Your God Tree whisper was small. But I am in small things. Start small. I will handle the ruler over many part. — Zechariah 4:10 — Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit.
GOD UPDATE #6: YOUR LIFE AS A WALKING MEDITATION
I’m learning from Julie — make your life a walking meditation with God. Just moving through life with God one moment at a time. Just saying, “God, I’m here. What would You have me to do now? What would You have me to do next?” Even if it’s just a small thing. Even if I reach one person with this video, if I get one view and that’s one person I brought closer to God — that’s a great day for me.
So wake up every day to your God morning routine. Even if you were the biggest failure yesterday — no problem. You wake up every day asking God to be the guide of your life. Walking intertwined with Him. Don’t despise small beginnings. Who knows where it goes? Maybe we’re going to have meetings every Sunday at all the Hard Rock locations all over the world. Who knows where this can go? But we start with one.
Don’t miss out, man. The best life is with Papa God.
Peace.
STEP 2: WHAT IS GOD TEACHING US HERE?
If Step 1 is what happened, Step 2 is what it means for you.
Yesterday I asked: Are you picking up on God’s voice?
This bloggy is my answer: God doesn’t shout. He updates.
He updates you on a bus. On a license plate. At a Chili’s table. Through your kid on a Sunday. Through a prayer that feels like it was written just for you.
He is all up in your business. Every conversation. Every doubt. Every car lot.
Here is what He taught me in 48 hours — and how you can incorporate it starting TODAY:
TEACHING #1: THE GOD BRAND IS STRONG — STOP HIDING IT
Kevin told me people would be offended by “We Roll With God.” God parked a bus next to me that said IN GOD WE TRUST on a penny. If America can put God on money, you can put God on your business, your bio, your car lot, your dream.
How to live it: What is the “God thing” you’ve been hiding because you’re afraid people won’t relate? Say it today. Post it. Name it. The God Brand is the strongest brand — because grace is the currency.
Activation: Write down one place you will put IN GOD WE TRUST this week — in your email signature, your Instagram bio, your business card, your meeting room request at Hard Rock.
TEACHING #2: ASK GOD FOR THE CAPTION — HE MAKES IT BEAUTIFUL IN HIS TIME
I didn’t know what to caption my sons’ photo. I asked God. He gave me Ecclesiastes 3:11. Then my morning prayer gave me the SAME verse. God doesn’t just make things beautiful in His time, He makes your story beautiful in His time — even the rollercoaster parts.
How to live it: You are wondering why the promise is slow. 2 Peter 3:9 says God is not slow — He is patient. That move from US to Nigeria and back? That wasn’t failure, that was training.
Activation: The Photo Prayer. Today, before you caption, post, or send anything, pause 60 seconds and pray: “God, what do You want me to say here?” Write down what you hear. Watch your prayer confirm it tomorrow.
TEACHING #3 & #4: SAY LESS, WORK HARDER — GRACE IS YOUR FUEL AND FOCUS IS YOUR STEERING WHEEL
Two updates at once. License plate: SAY LESS. My daughter Julie: WORK HARDER. And at my God Tree: MY GRACE IS SUFFICIENT FOR YOU (2 Cor 12:9).
I confirmed it triple: God Tree whisper + Joel Osteen post for today with MY NAME on it + Julie randomly picking my old WeRollWithGod page that said “My grace is sufficient.”
You don’t need to talk your way into your promise. Grace talks for you. So you can say less and let your work do the preaching.
And remember — one year ago Kevin’s hard voice note told me to FOCUS. I was offended, but I wrote: “Even the bad stuff He uses for good.” One year later, that FOCUS has paid off.
How to live it: You need FOCUS as your steering wheel and GRACE as your fuel. One without the other, you stall.
Activation: The Julie Mode Challenge (24 Hours)
1. SAY LESS: No explaining, no defending, no over-talking your dream for 24 hours. Let grace answer for you.
2. WORK HARDER: Pick ONE ordinary task today and do it with unseen obedience — like Julie at the coffee shop on Sunday. Make your bed like it’s for God. Answer that customer like it’s for God.
3. FOCUS Button: Look at your phone’s Control Center — turn on Focus Mode literally. Put your phone on Do Not Disturb for 1 hour and work on your essential thing. That voice note from last year was your assignment, not your attack.
TEACHING #5: DO NOT DESPISE SMALL BEGINNINGS — HE REJOICES TO SEE THE WORK BEGIN
I wanted church at Hard Rock Hotel. Bro said go big. I said start small. God sent Zechariah 4:10 that morning: “Do not despise the day of small things, for the Lord rejoices to see the work begin.” + Matthew 25:21 — faithful over few, ruler over many.
Your penny stare was small. Your God Tree whisper was small. But God rejoices over small starts.
How to live it: You are waiting for a big event to start. God is waiting for you to start in the smallest room.
Activation: What is your “small meeting room at Hard Rock”? Is it one video? One prayer with one person? One car sold to Penny? Do it today. It only takes a spark to get a fire going. Your spark today could be the global meeting tomorrow.
TEACHING #6: MAKE YOUR LIFE A WALKING MEDITATION
This is the whole lesson. Don’t just have a morning devotion — have a God morning routine where you wake up every day, even after your biggest failure yesterday, and say: “God, I’m here. What would You have me do now? What would You have me do next?”
That’s how you learn His voice. Moment by moment. Bus by bus. Penny by penny.
Activation: The 3-Question God Walk
Set 3 alarms today — 9am, 1pm, 5pm — titled “God Update.” When it rings, stop and ask:
1. God, what are You showing me right now? (Look around — license plate, bus, text)
2. What are You saying through it? (Grace? Focus? Beautiful timing?)
3. What is the next small obedient step?
Write it down. In 48 hours, you’ll have your own 6 updates like I did.
FINAL WORD: My life is not a highlight reel. It’s a God Update reel. If one view brings one person closer to God, that’s a great day. Your small beginning is not too small for a big God.
We don’t roll by might, nor by power, but by His Spirit — and His grace is sufficient, His timing is beautiful, and His brand is strong.
We Roll With God.
Want me to format this Step 2 as a second blog page / printable devotional worksheet for your readers?
Here is Step 3 Queen — your 5 anchor verses that hold the whole bloggy together. 3 from the Bible, 2 from the Torah — all saying the same thing God told you in 48 hours:
3 BIBLE VERSES THAT CAPTURE THE BLOGGY
1. The Fuel: GRACE IS SUFFICIENT
> 2 Corinthians 12:9 — “But He said to me, ‘My grace is sufficient for you, for My power is made perfect in weakness.'”
This is your God Tree whisper, your Joel Osteen confirmation, and your old WeRollWithGod page Julie picked. The essence of SAY LESS. You don’t need to talk your way into it — your weakness is where His power rolls in. Grace is your transportation fuel.
2. The Timing: BEAUTIFUL IN HIS TIME
> Ecclesiastes 3:11 — “He has made everything beautiful in its time.”
Your Chili’s caption prayer + your morning prayer double-witness. Your boys — US to Nigeria to US — rollercoaster to fine young men. Your Penny call — 2 hours after the bus. What looks like slowness is patience in the heart of God (2 Peter 3:9). He is never late.
3. The Strategy: DO NOT DESPISE SMALL BEGINNINGS
> Zechariah 4:6,10 — “Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit, says the Lord… Who dares despise the day of small things, for the Lord rejoices to see the work begin.”
This is your Hard Rock Hotel answer to K. You said no to big event, yes to small room. God says I don’t need might or power, I need your small obedient start. Staring at a penny is small. A license plate is small. One view on a video is small. I rejoice over small — faithful over few, ruler over many (Matthew 25:21).
2 TORAH VERSES THAT CAPTURE THE BLOGGY
4. The Brand: IN GOD WE TRUST — HE GIVES POWER FOR WEALTH
> Devarim / Deuteronomy 8:18 — “But you shall remember the Lord your God, for it is He who gives you power to get wealth…”
This is your PENNY FOR TRANSPORTATION bus! The US prints IN GOD WE TRUST on the penny because Torah taught it first — money doesn’t make you, God makes money work for you. Penny for Transportation didn’t come by your might, it came because you remembered Him on a bus. The God Brand is strong because the Torah brand is first. We Roll With God in business.
5. The Presence: I AM ALL UP IN YOUR BUSINESS
> Bereshit / Genesis 28:15 — “Behold, I am with you and will keep you wherever you go…”
This is your walking meditation! Jacob was on a road, just like you driving to Tally’s, and God says “I’m with you everywhere you go.” Not just in church, but on the bus lane, at Chili’s, dropping Joshy at school, at the coffee shop on Sunday. You said it perfectly in the video: “Nik, I’m all up in your business. Every conversation, everything you do.” That’s Torah! That’s Genesis 28 — God updating you moment by moment, license plate by license plate, so you learn His voice.
MIGHTY CLOSE OUT PRAYER: THE GOD UPDATE PRAYER
Papa God,
We come to You today at our God Tree, at our Penny bus stop, at our Chili’s table, at the school drop-off line.
Thank You for being all up in our business.
Thank You for the bus You parked next to us. Thank You for the penny that said IN GOD WE TRUST. Thank You for proving that the God Brand is still strong, that You still print Your name on transportation, on provision, on every small thing we stare at. Thank You for Penny calling after we stared at the penny — You let us know You are listening.
Forgive us for wondering why Your promises seemed slow. Forgive us for despising small beginnings. Forgive us for thinking we had to do it by might and by power and by loud talking.
Today we receive Your update:
Your grace is sufficient for us. When we are weak, when Kevin doubts us, when the customer is slow, when our boys are on a rollercoaster — Your power is made perfect. We will say less and let Your grace talk for us. (2 Cor 12:9)
You make everything beautiful in its time. Our Nigeria season, our US season, our waiting season, our penny-staring season — You are turning it beautiful right on time. What looks like slowness is patience in Your heart. (Ecclesiastes 3:11)
You rejoice to see the work begin. You are not waiting for a big event at Hard Rock. You rejoice over our small meeting room, our one video, our one view, our one faithful task done when no one is watching. Make us faithful over few so You can make us ruler over many. Not by might nor by power, but by Your Spirit. (Zechariah 4:6,10 & Matthew 25:21)
You give us power to get wealth and You are with us wherever we go. You give us transportation for Penny. You watch over us in Tally’s, in Broward, in the coffee shop on Sunday. (Deuteronomy 8:18 & Genesis 28:15)
So today, we choose Julie Mode. Say Less. Work Harder. Focus.
We choose to make our life a walking meditation with You. Moment by moment, bus by bus, license plate by license plate.
God, we are here. What would You have us do now? What would You have us do next?
If we reach just one person with this bloggy, if we get just one view that brings one person closer to You — that is a great day.
We will not despise small beginnings. We will not miss out on the best life — the life that rolls with You.
We seal this with IN GOD WE TRUST stamped on our hearts, our businesses, our cars, and our children.
In the Mighty Name of Yeshua, our Provider, our Fuel, our Steering Wheel,
Amen and Amen.
We Roll With God.
