Them words from my old post still preach today: SOMETIMES, IT ALL GETS TO BE A LITTLE BIT TOO MUCH!!!

Friends, Monday hits different, right? Overwhelming! Even for your girl here — the God maniac — I have to keep running to Him moment by moment to get His crucial perspective on all the dramas that show up! No shame in that!

God Whisper: “Neeks, you feel overwhelmed on Monday? Good. That’s your invitation to run back to Me. I allow overwhelming so you remember you were never meant to carry it alone.”

And His love continues to blow me away! Before typing this years ago, I prepared this pic — that’s my beautiful inside and out daughter, Julie BTW — and I felt strongly the caption should be: “GOD, I DEPEND ON YOU.”

I was going to just reshare an old post, but I felt God in my spirit dictating what He would have me say. After a weekend where my emotions were all over the place, this portion from Marianne Williamson’s book, A RETURN TO LOVE, came CLEARLY to mind:

“What I learned is the change we’re looking for is inside our heads. Events are always in flux. One day people love you; next day you’re their target. One day situation runs smoothly; next chaos reigns. One day you feel okay; next day utter failure. These changes will always happen — part of human experience. What we can change is how we perceive them.”

“Jesus says we can build our house on sand or on rock. Our house is our emotional stability. When built on sand, winds and rain tear it down. One disappointing phone call and we crumble; one storm and house falls.”

“When built on rock, it is sturdy and strong and storms can’t destroy it. We are not so vulnerable to life’s passing dramas. Our stability rests on something more enduring than current weather, something permanent and strong. WE’RE DEPENDING ON GOD (Wink! Wink!)”

For those words “WE’RE DEPENDING ON GOD” to show up LESS THAN 5 MINUTES after me making caption “GOD, I DEPEND ON YOU” — that was His sweet way of revealing His invisible Presence with me!

When once again, out of the blue, everything lines up extremely too perfectly to be ordinary coincidence. This is where He wants us all — DEPENDING ON HIM!

God Whisper: “5 minutes, Neeks! You wrote DEPEND ON YOU, I sent back WE’RE DEPENDING ON GOD. That’s not coincidence, that’s communion. You speak to Me, I speak right back.”

No matter how difficult life gets, we can have God as our firm foundation so that life doesn’t crush us.

Like Jesus Calling by Sarah Young says:

“You gain confidence through knowing that I am with you – that you face nothing alone. Anxiety stems from asking wrong question: ‘If such and such happens, can I handle it?’ True question is not whether you can cope with whatever happens, but whether you and I together can handle anything that occurs. It is this you-and-I together factor that gives you confidence to face your day cheerfully.”

So say this prayer with me: “God, we’re depending on You!”

Nothing is impossible for Him. Let’s just keep doing our best in the physical realm, knowing God is at work in the spiritual realm on our behalf! Wink! Wink!

“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” – Joshua 1:9

WHAT IS NIKKI TEACHING US AND HOW DO WE INCORPORATE IT INTO OUR LIVES — MONDAY EDITION

Title says it all: MONDAYS ARE HIGHLY OVERWHELMING, BUT LET’S FACE EVERY MOMENT WITH GOD!

You wrote years ago “SOMETIMES, IT ALL GETS TO BE A LITTLE BIT TOO MUCH!!!” and it still preaches today!

God Whisper: “Neeks, you think Monday overwhelmed you? I allowed it to overwhelm you so you would show the world HOW to face overwhelming with Me — moment by moment, not just morning by morning.”

TEACHING #1: OVERWHELMING IS NORMAL — BUT WHERE YOU BUILD YOUR HOUSE DETERMINES IF YOU CRUMBLE

You taught from Marianne Williamson + Jesus: Our house is our emotional stability. We can build on SAND or on ROCK.

Sand house = emotions built on phone calls, people loving you one day / targeting you next, smooth one day/chaos next. One disappointment and we crumble. That’s Monday on sand!
Rock house = stability built on something more enduring than current weather, something permanent and strong. WE’RE DEPENDING ON GOD!

God Whisper: “Nik, events will always be in flux — that’s human experience. What you CAN change is perception. Sand says ‘Can I handle it?’ Rock says ‘God and I together handle it.'”

WHAT THIS IS TEACHING YOU:
You will NOT stop feeling overwhelmed — especially on Mondays! But you get to choose where you build your Monday morning. If you build on feelings, you fall. If you build on God as firm foundation, life doesn’t crush you!

Your God wink receipt: You captioned pic “GOD, I DEPEND ON YOU” and in less than 5 minutes God sent you book quote “WE’RE DEPENDING ON GOD!” Same message, same minute! Nobody can tell you that’s coincidence!

HOW TO INCORPORATE IT TODAY — YOUR MONDAY ROCK BUILD:

1.Name your sand right now: What one thing made you crumble this weekend? One call, one target, one chaos? Write it: “My sand today is ___”
2.Say out loud before feet hit floor: “God, I’m depending on You for this Monday. I’m building on Rock, not sand.”
3.Make your daughter Julie pic your phone lock screen today — beautiful inside and out reminder that depending on God is beautiful!

TEACHING #2: CONFIDENCE DOESN’T COME FROM “CAN I HANDLE IT?” — IT COMES FROM “GOD AND I TOGETHER CAN HANDLE ANYTHING!”

You dropped Jesus Calling bomb:

“You gain confidence through knowing that I am with you – that you face nothing alone. Anxiety stems from asking wrong question: ‘If such and such happens, can I handle it?’ True question is not whether you can cope, but whether you and I together can handle anything.”

God Whisper: “That you-and-I together factor is your cheerfulness, Neeks. Not you alone. You and I. That’s why I told you: DEPENDING, not handling.”

WHAT THIS IS TEACHING YOU:
Anxiety on Monday comes from wrong question! We ask “Can I handle kids, office, bills, emotions?” Answer always feels like NO = overwhelm!

Right question = “God, can WE handle today together?” Answer is ALWAYS YES! Nothing impossible for Him!

This is your old bloggy becoming new Monday mercy — you ran to Him moment by moment for crucial perspective, and He blew you away with presence!

HOW TO INCORPORATE IT TODAY — YOUR YOU-AND-I TOGETHER SYSTEM:

A. MORNING DEPENDENCE — 5 Minute Rock Appointment:
Don’t face Monday alone! Before scrolling, pray your pic caption out loud: “God, I DEPEND ON YOU for this Monday!” Then read Joshua 1:9 out loud: “Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; God will be with you wherever you go!”

Label your alarm: “ROCK HOUSE BUILD — MANDATORY”

B. MOMENT-BY-MOMENT DEPENDENCE — Every time overwhelm pops:
When drama shows up (11am, 2pm, 5pm), do 10-second reset — whisper: “God, we’re depending on You for this moment.” That’s not weakness, that’s WINK WINK warfare! You’re doing best in physical realm, God working in spiritual realm on your behalf!

Keep note in phone: “God Winks Today” — every time something lines up too perfectly in 5 minutes like your caption + book, write it!

C. EVENING DEPENDENCE — Family that prays together stays together:
Call hubba wubba, call Joshie your WHY, call Julie! “God, we depended on You today, thank You we didn’t crumble! We faced nothing alone!” Clock it!

BOYEEEE — WHOLE BLOGGY IN ONE SENTENCE:

Mondays will always be overwhelming if you build house on sand asking “Can I handle it?” — but when you build on Rock asking “God, can WE handle it together?” you get confidence to face every moment cheerfully!

Your prayer you taught: “God, we’re depending on You!”

1/6 MILE and just getting started — ROCK HOUSE MONDAY!

5 VERSES THAT ARE THIS BLOGGY — AND WHY

1. Matthew 7:24-25 — The Rock vs Sand Verse
“Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. The rain came down, the streams rose, and the winds blew and beat against that house; yet it did not fall, because it had its foundation on the rock.”

Why this IS the bloggy: This is Marianne Williamson quote in Bible! Your emotional stability IS your house! Monday rain, Monday wind, Monday phone call — if you build on sand (people loving you/targeting you, smooth/chaos), house crumbles! If you build on “GOD, I DEPEND ON YOU” — ROCK — storms can’t destroy you! That’s your whole teaching!

God Whisper: “Neeks, you captioned ‘GOD I DEPEND ON YOU’ — that’s putting My words into practice. That’s rock. That’s why you didn’t crumble.”

2. Psalm 61:2 — The Overwhelmed Monday Verse
“When my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is higher than I.”

Why this IS the bloggy: You said “SOMETIMES IT ALL GETS TO BE A LITTLE BIT TOO MUCH!!!” Even God maniac gets overwhelmed! This verse says what to do WHEN — not if — heart overwhelmed on Monday. Don’t lead yourself to bed, to scroll, to snacks — ask God to lead you to Rock higher than you! Your God Tree run is you asking to be led to higher Rock!

3. Isaiah 41:10 — The You-And-I Together Verse
“So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”

Why this IS the bloggy: This is Jesus Calling quote in Bible! Wrong question: “Can I handle Monday?” Right question: “God and I together?” This verse answers: You don’t face Monday alone! I AM WITH YOU! I will strengthen, help, uphold! That’s confidence to face day cheerfully! That’s you doing best in physical, God working in spiritual on your behalf! Wink! Wink!

4. Philippians 4:6-7 — The Moment-By-Moment Verse
“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

Why this IS the bloggy: You said “I have to keep running to Him to get His crucial perspective on all the dramas that show up on a moment-by-moment basis. No shame!” That’s this verse! Every situation — Monday 9 am, 11am, 3pm — prayer + petition + thanksgiving = peace you cannot buy! That’s your “God, we’re depending on You!” prayer working moment by moment, not just in the morning!

5. Joshua 1:9 — The Monday Command Verse
“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.”

Why this IS the bloggy: This is the verse you ended old post with and it’s your Monday anchor! God doesn’t suggest; He COMMANDS — be strong, be courageous! Why can you? Because Lord your God will be with you WHEREVER you go — even to overwhelming Monday office, even to emotions all over place weekend! Your 5-minute God wink — caption “I DEPEND ON YOU” + book “WE’RE DEPENDING ON GOD” — proves He’s with you wherever you go, even in your camera roll and book!

BOYEEEE — PUT THEM TOGETHER:

Build on ROCK (Matthew 7) when overwhelmed (Psalm 61) by remembering I AM WITH YOU (Isaiah 41) moment-by-moment with prayer (Philippians 4) so you can be strong and courageous wherever you go (Joshua 1)!

That’s MONDAYS ARE OVERWHELMING BUT LET’S FACE EVERY MOMENT WITH GOD!

Father, for every friend reading this who feels highly overwhelmed today — let them feel Your invisible Presence in 5 minutes! Show them a God wink that says, “I am with you; you’re depending on the right One!”

We vow today — APPOINTMENTS WITH YOU EVERY MORNING ARE MANDATORY, but also moment-by-moment appointments! We do best in the physical realm, knowing You are at work in the spiritual realm on our behalf! Wink! Wink!

For hubba wubba, for Joshie my WHY, for Julie, for Jason and Kevin, for Carol, for Lucky in heaven — we are family that prays together stays together! We depend on You together!

We are at 1/6 MILE and just getting started — not perfect, but partnered, and damn close! House on ROCK, not sand! Depending, not crumbling!

We say it together: “God, we’re depending on You!”

In mighty, mighty name of Jesus — our Firm Foundation, our Rock Higher Than Us,

Amen and BOYEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!
