Them be some hurtful words from my son Joshie yesterday at the office.
He said, “Mom, you need friends like me who tell you the truth!”
God Whisper: “Neeks, ouch — but did you hear the love in that correction? I sent him to keep you honest because I love you too much to let you stay comfortable.”
I always tell you guys I LOVE correction, so I am back in my Rocky mode that I fell off with yesterday. Fall a billion times, get back up a billion and one. Clock it!
I call Joshie my WHY for getting up every day and working towards being the best me possible, so that I can hopefully inspire him to be his best self. Also, so I can have the strength to tackle him like on Friday evening, pushing him to go to church.
And I’m so happy I did because he said they spoke about getting closer to God — but when I asked him how exactly do you do that, he had no answer.
God Whisper: “That’s your assignment, Nik. That’s why I let you fall off Rocky Mode for one day — so you could feel what it’s like to NOT seek Me first, then get back up and teach the world HOW to get back up with Me.”
So I happily explained that’s the mama’s assignment from God — to teach the entire world about how to develop their most important relationship, their relationship with God, baby!
I explained to Joshie today that it starts with a GOD MORNING ROUTINE of getting up and seeking God first.
For me that’s listening to my YouTube prayer and going for my run to my God Tree where I read from our family’s website werollwithgod.com or my meditation books on my phone — just listening to God and asking Him, where do I go to hear from Him?
“God, I am here to commune with You.”
NOTHING MORE IMPORTANT THAN SPENDING ALONE TIME WITH GOD!!!
Then I call the hubba wubba and we pray together — a family that prays together stays together! Clock it!
God Whisper: “Nik, you think your morning is just a routine? It’s an appointment with the President. You show up, I show off.”
Then as you go through your day, you begin to hear God directing and guiding you.
Like I can’t get over what happened two days ago. I looked up a certain word in my email and ended up coming across an email from a deceased friend Lucky from 13 years ago with these Bible verses:
Let the light of your face shine upon us, O LORD.
You have filled my heart with greater joy than when their grain and new wine abound.
I will lie down and sleep in peace, for you alone, O LORD, make me dwell in safety.
Psalm 4:6-8 NIV
Fast forward less than two hours later, Facebook posted my friend Carol’s Jesus Calling post for that very date Aug 28 — with the EXACT SAME Bible verses:
Let the light of your face shine upon us, O LORD.
You have filled my heart with greater joy than when their grain and new wine abound.
I will lie down and sleep in peace, for you alone, O LORD, make me dwell in safety.

God Whisper: “Neeks, 13 years. Dead to you, alive to Me. Lucky’s email was still in your inbox for TODAY. Carol’s post was for TODAY. Same verses. Same Psalm. Same hour. Do you think that’s a coincidence? That’s Me revealing a glimmer of My invisible Presence. That’s your God wink receipt.”
NOBODY IN THIS ENTIRE WORLD CAN TELL ME ALL OF THIS LINED UP SO PERFECTLY ON ITS OWN! God Himself was revealing a glimmer of His invisible Presence with us all.
So it starts in the morning seeking His face first and communing with Him. Then you will feel His direction throughout the day — “Nik, search for this word in your email. Nik, read this email from Lucky from 13 years ago. Nik, go to Facebook.”
Then BOOM! You find God smiling with you and know without any doubt it’s Him.
God Whisper: “First you seek Me in the morning, then you see Me all day. Morning appointment leads to all-day appointments.”
DON’T MISS OUT ON THE BEST LIFE WITH GOD!! That’s where I get the peace that you cannot buy — knowing God Himself is with you.

WHAT IS NIKKI TRYING TO TEACH US AND HOW DO WE INCORPORATE IT INTO OUR LIVES*
Best friends, my son Joshie looked at his mama in the office and said, “MAMA, YOU LOOK LIKE YOU ARE PREGNANT!!! You need friends like me who tell you the truth!”
Ouch! But I always tell you guys I LOVE correction!
God Whisper: “Neeks, that wasn’t an insult, that was an invitation. I allowed that sting to call you back up to who you really are — My Rocky Mode daughter.”
So what is Nikki trying to teach us in this bloggy? Two things that will change your entire life.
TEACHING #1: CORRECTION IS NOT REJECTION — CORRECTION IS LOVE THAT GETS YOU BACK ON ROCKY MODE
I call Joshie my WHY for getting up every day and working towards being the best me possible so I can inspire him to be his best self. And also so I can have the strength to tackle him like on Friday evening pushing him to go to church!
I fell off Rocky Mode yesterday. One day off — belly shows. Joshie saw it. He didn’t kiss up. He told truth.
God Whisper: “A fake friend says ‘you look good’ while you drift. A true son says ‘Mama you look pregnant’ because he wants you strong enough to tackle him into his destiny.”
WHAT THIS IS TEACHING YOU:
Your WHY will correct you because they love you. Don’t get offended. Get back up! Fall a billion times, get back up a billion and one. That’s Rocky Mode. Your kids, your hubba wubba, your best friends — they need you at your best, not your comfortable.
HOW TO INCORPORATE IT TODAY:
1. Ask God: Who is my WHY that I get up for? Write their name. Mine is Joshie.
2. Today when someone corrects you — instead of defending — say: “Thank you for loving me enough to tell me the truth. I’m getting back on Rocky Mode.”
3. Use the sting as fuel. Joshie said pregnant? I ran to God Tree this morning. Your correction = your activation. Clock it!
TEACHING #2: YOU DON’T GET CLOSER TO GOD BY ACCIDENT — YOU GET CLOSER BY APPOINTMENT
Joshie came home from church Friday and said they spoke about getting closer to God but when I asked him how exactly do you do that, he had no answer. God Whisper: “Everyone wants to be close to Me, but few make the appointment. Closeness is not a Sunday sermon, it’s a daily schedule.”

Tomorrow, set alarm 20 mins earlier. Label: APPOINTMENT WITH PRESIDENT — MANDATORY. Before you scroll, before belly, before business:
– Play YouTube prayer — let someone else pray you in
– Move to YOUR God Tree — porch, car, bathroom, run — same spot daily so God knows where to find you
– Open http://werollwithgod.com or meditation book and ask out loud: “God, where do You want me to read today? I am here to commune with You.”
God Whisper: “15 minutes with Me in the morning rewires 15 hours of your day. You seek My face first, I show you My face all day.”

God Whisper: “Nik, I told you: Search this word. Read Lucky’s email. Go to Facebook. BOOM! Same verses 13 years apart, same 2 hours. That’s how I talk when you give Me mornings.”
HOW TO INCORPORATE: After your morning, pray: “God, order my clicks today.” When you feel a nudge to search, text, open old email — OBEY IN 5 MINUTES. Write your God Winks down in your phone notes. That’s God smiling with you without doubt.
C. EVENING SEAL — Family That Prays Together Stays Together:
Call your hubba wubba, your WHY, your kids — 2 minute prayer together. No sermon. Just: “God thank You for today, be with us tonight.”
HOW TO INCORPORATE: Tonight, call your person and pray. Ask: “What did God teach you today?” If they say “I don’t know” like Joshie — now it’s your assignment to teach them this system. That’s how you become strong enough to tackle them into church and into destiny.

Why: Joshie said “Mama, you look pregnant!” — correction that knocked you back onto Rocky Mode. What is Rocky Mode? Seeking God FIRST before belly, before business, before feelings. YouTube prayer first, God Tree run first. Seek first = best self.
3. Proverbs 27:6 — The True Friend Verse
“Wounds from a friend can be trusted, but an enemy multiplies kisses.”
Why: Joshie said “Mom, you need friends like me who tell you the truth!” You said “I love correction.” That’s a Proverbs 27:6 daughter! A fake friend would say “Mama you look snatched!” A true son says “Get back on Rocky Mode!”
4. Psalm 119:105 — The God Tree Direction Verse
“Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path.”
Why: Your whole routine is lamp and light — asking “God where do You want me to go to hear from You?” Then BOOM — God directs: search this email word, read Lucky’s email, go to Facebook. One click at a time, God lights the next step.
5. James 4:8 — The Close To God Verse
“Come near to God and he will come near to you.”
Why: Joshie said church talked about getting closer to God but he had no answer HOW. This is the HOW. Come near first in the morning, God comes near all day. You came near at the God Tree, God came near with Lucky’s 13-year-old email and Carol’s post in the same 2 hours.

Abba, forgive me for falling off Rocky Mode yesterday. But today I am back. Fall a billion times, get back up a billion and one — because Your grace is sufficient and Your mercies are new every morning.

Lord, let Your face shine on every best friend reading this who feels pregnant with shame, with failure, with belly, with life. Fill their heart with greater joy than when grain and new wine abound. Let them lie down and sleep in peace tonight knowing You alone make them dwell in safety.
Teach our children, like Joshie, HOW to get closer to You — not just talk about it. We come near to You in the morning, You come near to us all day. Your Word a lamp for our feet.
For my son Joshie — my WHY — let him see his mama get up every day and become her best self so he is inspired to be his best self. Give me strength to tackle him into destiny, into church, into purpose.
