For my Breakfast and Bible group + anyone confused about honor vs. idolatry
1. LET ME BE VERY CLEAR: CERI IS NOT MY GOD. HE POINTS ME TO GOD.
Some of my Breakfast and Bible group members feel I idolize Ceri, my brother and God influencer. Let me set the record straight.
Ceri does the important job of teaching me about idolizing, reverencing, and being obedient to the real God — only the Creator of the entire universe.
CERI IS NOT MY GOD BUT HE POINTS ME TO GOD!!!
God Whisper: “Don’t worship the finger. Worship what it’s pointing to.”
He himself was not the light; he came only as a witness to the light. John 1:8
I don’t worship the messenger. I worship the One who sent him.
2. THE PROOF: CERI TAUGHT ME TO STOP IDOLIZING PEOPLE
Ironically, Ceri was the one who taught me not to idolize people when I was too focused on my husband.
He was the very one telling me: “Stop thinking so much about your husband. Focus on your kids. Focus on God.”
So if you see me honoring Ceri, understand: I’m honoring what God did THROUGH him.
“God arranged the members, each one of them, in the body as He chose.” 1 Cor 12:18
The goal was never Ceri. The goal was always God. — Now this is eternal life: that they know You, the only true God.
Stop looking at the finger. Look at what it’s pointing to!
God Whisper: “I place people in your life as street signs.
Don’t pitch a tent at the sign. Keep driving to Me.” Isa 30:21
3. MY ASSIGNMENT: RECORD IT. SHARE IT. LIVE IT.
My assignment has been to record Ceri and share his Godly wisdom with the world by LIVING THEM.
And guess who has benefited the most from this assignment? ME!!!!
I told Ceri yesterday: “In the middle of WARFARE I’m smiling with joy and I’m at peace because you reminded me that God was in the war with me.”
This is not a world for the weak. WE NEED GOD.
This gift of faith is PRICELESS!
Ceri taught me about developing the most important relationship — our relationship with God — and about having relationships with other people, making LOVE the bottom line for my life.
He always repeats this one statement: LOVE GOD AND LOVE PEOPLE.
God Whisper: “Your brother Ceri was your 1 Cor 10:13 moment.
I used him as your way of escape from idolatry.
Now you go be someone else’s way of escape.” Gal 6:2
4. GOD CONFIRMED IT THIS MORNING
Can you believe God even got involved in our conversation?
I went to Facebook this morning and look what showed up on my feed from my friend Carol, written as if God is speaking from Jesus Calling:
“WORSHIP ME ONLY. Idolatry has always been the downfall of My people. I make no secrets about being a jealous God. Current idols are more subtle than ancient ones because today’s false gods are often outside the field of religion. People, possessions, status, and self-aggrandizement are some of the popular deities today. Beware of bowing down before these things. False gods never satisfy; instead, they stir up lust for more and more.”
Nobody can tell me this was a coincidence!
Ceri has been the one teaching me about all the different ways God speaks and how God is always giving us updates throughout the day, but we must KNOW God and all the different ways He shows up.
God Whisper: “I will confirm My word with signs following.
When you fight idolatry, I back you up publicly.
Carol’s post was Me winking at you. I see you. Keep going.”
5. TO MY BROTHER CERI + BREAKFAST & BIBLE GROUP
To my brother Ceri: It’s my deep and most sincere honor to teach the world what you have taught me, dude.
I just pray for God to give me the strength to keep spreading our messages of FAITH, HOPE and LOVE, so help me God!
Thank you from the deepest, most bottom part of my heart for teaching me Godly values and principles for my life. THEY ARE SERIOUSLY WORKING!

WE ROLL WITH STRENGTH, COURAGE, JOY, LOVE, PEACE, HUMILITY, MERCY, FAVOR AND KINDNESS
STEP TWO: THE PLAYBOOK — WHAT WE’RE ACTUALLY LEARNING
1. GOD FIRST, THEN PEOPLE
What it means: Your #1 relationship is with God. Husband, wife, kids, boss, pastor — they’re all #2.
Why: When you idolize people, you break. When you put God first, you build.
God Whisper: “You can’t love them right until you meet Me first.
*I fill you, then you pour. Empty cups start wars. Full cups win them.”
2. HONOR THE MESSENGER, WORSHIP THE SOURCE
What it means: Ceri, your pastor, your mentor — they’re fingers pointing to God. Don’t worship the finger.
Why: Idolatry is sneaky. “People, possessions, status, and self” — that Facebook post from Carol wasn’t a coincidence.
God Whisper: “I’ll use people to train you. But if you start bowing to them, I’ll remove them.
*Keep your eyes on Me. I’m jealous for you.”
3. CHESS NOT CHECKERS — GOD IS UP TO SOMETHING
What it means: That bad day, that depression, that Kevin call — it’s all on the board. You only see your move. God sees the whole game.
Why: “One monkey don’t stop no show.” One bad move don’t end you. God already made the next move.
God Whisper: “You thought that was checkmate. It was strategy.
I don’t raise warriors for comfort. I raise them for THIS storm.”
4. LOVE GOD AND LOVE PEOPLE — THAT’S THE BOTTOM LINE
What it means: Ceri’s main teaching. Vertical first, then horizontal. If your love ain’t rooted in God, it’s just manipulation.
Why: “False gods never satisfy; instead, they stir up lust for more and more.” Only God + people satisfies.
God Whisper #24: “FAITH, HOPE, LOVE. But the greatest of these is LOVE.
Love Me. Love them. That’s the whole war plan.”
HOW TO INCORPORATE THIS DAILY — THE PLAYBOOK
No fluff. 3 moves. 10 minutes. Works for men, women, single, married.
MOVE 1: GOD TIME — 5 MINUTES
Do this: Before phone, before people, before panic.
Say: “God, I’m here. No idol. Just You. What’s the move today?”
Then: Listen. Read 1 verse. That’s it. START YOUR DAY AT WEROLLWITHGOD.COM!!!
Why: “Real strength is choosing what’s right when only God is watching.”
Rule: No time for God = No orders for the day. You’re fighting blind.
MOVE 2: IDOL CHECK — 3 MINUTES
Ask yourself: “Who or what did I think about more than God today?”
Husband? Money? Likes? Ceri? Your kids? Be honest.
If yes, repent fast: “God, You’re #1. I break agreement with that idol.”
Then redirect: Text that person “You’re a blessing, not my God.”
God Whisper #25: “I check your heart daily.
Confess the idol fast, and I’ll promote you faster.”
MOVE 3: LOVE MOVE — 2 MINUTES
Do this: Pick 1 person. Send 1 text. No strings.
Examples:
Men: “Bro, praying for you. You’re not alone in the storm.”
Women: “Sis, God sees you. You’re doing better than you think.”
Married: “I choose to love you today because God first loved me.”
Why: “LOVE GOD AND LOVE PEOPLE” — that’s the assignment.
Rule: We don’t just consume wisdom. We LIVE IT and GIVE IT.
FOR MEN READING THIS:
1. Your wife is not your God. Your job is not your God. Your body is not your God. Get to KNOW your real God.
2. You’re not raised for comfort. You’re raised for the storm. Stop running. Lead.
3. “Loud men boast about strength.” Quiet men meet God at 5am and move mountains by 9am. Be that man.
FOR WOMEN READING THIS:
1. Your husband is not your savior. Your kids are not your identity. Ceri is not your covering. God is.
2. “God’s warriors carry the burden in silence.” That depression, that anxiety — take it to the God Tree, not Instagram.
3. You were taught to “focus on your kids and stop thinking so much about your husband.” Why? Because idolatry breaks families. God first fixes families.
STEP THREE: THE VERSE + THE CLOSE OUT PRAYER
THE 5 VERSES THAT CARRY THE WHOLE BLOG
1. Exodus 20:3 — “You shall have no other gods before Me.”
Why: This is the Carol Facebook post in scripture. It kills idolatry before it starts. Ceri ain’t God. Husband ain’t God. Kids ain’t God. Money ain’t God. Only God is God. This verse is the boundary line for the whole blog.
2. John 1:8 — “He himself was not the light; he came only as a witness to the light.”
Why: This is The Ceri Clause in one verse. John the Baptist was Ceri. Jesus was the Light. Ceri’s job is to point, not be worshiped. Don’t worship the finger. Worship what it’s pointing to.
3. 1 Corinthians 12:18 — “But in fact God has placed the parts in the body, every one of them, just as he wanted them to be.”
Why: This explains why Ceri showed up in your life. God PLACED him. God PLACED Kevin to call you. God PLACED you to write this blog. Nobody’s an accident. It’s all chess moves. He IS up to something.
4. 1 Corinthians 10:13 — “No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.”
Why: This is your depression testimony verse. You thought it was checkmate. God said “I got a way out” and sent Kevin. This verse is the proof that God plays chess, not checkers.
5. Mark 1:35 — “Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where he prayed.”
Why: This is THE GOD TREE VERSE. The whole blog lives or dies here. No time for God = no orders for the day. Real strength is choosing what’s right when only God is watching. This is where idols die and warriors are born.
God Whisper: “These 5 verses are your War Manual.
Exodus guards your heart. John guards your honor.
1 Cor 12 guards your people. 1 Cor 10 guards your storm.
Mark 1:35 guards your day. Miss one, you bleed. Keep all 5, you win.”
THE CLOSE OUT PRAYER
FATHER GOD, WE COME TO OUR GOD TREE NOW
Thank You for being UP TO SOMETHING even when we thought it was over.
Thank You for Kevin calls in our darkest hour.
Thank You for brothers like Ceri who point us to You, not to themselves.
Forgive us for the idols we built — people, possessions, status, self.
Tear them down today. You alone are God. You alone sit on the throne.
We declare: THIS IS NOT A WORLD FOR THE WEAK.
But we are not weak — because JOY is our strength.
You don’t raise warriors for comfort. You raise us for the STORM.
So we won’t bow to chaos. We won’t kneel to fear.
Teach us to choose what’s right when only You are watching.
Fill us at our prayer altars, so we can pour out LOVE on people.
For the men: Make us quiet warriors who meet You before the battle.
For the women: Make us queens who know our King before we crown anyone else.
For the broken: Show them the way of escape TODAY.
We honor the messengers. We worship the Source.
We don’t look at the finger. We look at YOU.
Cover our Breakfast and Bible group. Cover Ceri. Cover every reader.
Give us STRENGTH, COURAGE, JOY, LOVE, PEACE, HUMILITY, MERCY, FAVOR AND KINDNESS.
We roll with FAITH. We roll with HOPE. We roll with LOVE.
