WOW! I can’t get over my brother, Kevin!
Not having my regular routine of running to my God Tree every day in the US was really getting the best of me. I was seriously depressed. I didn’t even want to get out of bed.
That was until Kevin called and gave me that reminder. What really freaked me out was that the phone line wasn’t even clear, but he managed to get those words to me.
I asked myself, ‘Nik, how could you, the God maniac, forget you need that ‘God Tree’ place where you meet God every day?’
See the love of God, guys? He had Kevin call me with that important reminder to get my God morning routine back on. I immediately rose back up! Heehaw!!!
Fast forward almost three months later, God continues to meet me at the prayer altar.
This morning, I felt led to go to page 2 and look at all the God winks that showed up on just this one page:
Wisdom for Emmie
Before asking God what page to read, I sat for the longest just staring at my son Emmie’s photo. I was almost crying, just feeling so blessed to have this great son who I promised I would continue to make wise decisions for our family/team.
What showed up immediately on page 2:
“Let me tell ya, no greater wisdom than wisdom from God. He teaches us through everyday struggles, like a big fight with my husband last night. I have a picture of my son, Emmie, by the prayer altar, reminding me to be the mom he needs on the high road with God. EVEN WHEN OTHERS ARE UNFAIR WITH ME, I REMIND MYSELF THAT GOD’S WAYS ARE MORE THAN FAIR, and that I want to do my utmost best to please Him.”
God’s way of saying, ‘Nik, I’m right here with you, my sweetie!’
Forgiveness
The entire time I was listening to my prayer, I was venting to God. I kept hitting my head: ‘Nik, you gotta forgive. Nik, you gotta forgive. Nik, you gotta forgive.’
What showed up again on page 2:
“Nik, have mercy, please! The same mercy God shows us every day, He asks us to share it with others.”
“As Ceri says, this FORGIVENESS IS FOR US (Wink! Wink!). So we can have a clean slate with God. God, I did the right thing! And it gives us peace!”
The Song Confirmation
Then there was the song I was playing yesterday and taking pics of on my phone. That very song showed up:
“One morning, before chatting with a customer, I turned on the radio for some background music. Minutes later, as he was saying to me, “One monkey don’t stop no show!” unbelievably, the radio station was playing a song with the exact lyrics, “One monkey don’t stop no show!”” I jumped up with such enthusiasm and joy, knowing it was God revealing His invisible Presence there with us. Once again, out of the blue, everything lined up too perfectly!
And again today, I jumped up from that prayer altar with renewed strength, joy, faith, and courage, KNOWING God Himself is my Constant Companion.
THE JOY OF THE LORD IS MY STRENGTH, BABY!!!
God Whisper #7: “This isn’t hype. This is war strategy. Joy is your strength because the enemy wants you heavy. I turned your mourning into dancing so you could FIGHT WISE. You’re not just happy. You’re armed.”
He has asked me to bring you to Him with JOY! So, just like Kevin reminded me: make sure you have a place to meet God every morning.

WHAT I’M REALLY TEACHING IN THIS BLOG
The big idea: You can’t fight wise, stay strong, or hear God clearly without a daily “God Tree” — a place you meet Him every morning.
The lie the enemy sells: You’re too busy. You’re too far. You’re too depressed to pray. You can do this alone.
The truth from this story: God uses people like Kevin to call you back. He uses His Word, conviction, and crazy confirmations to meet you. Joy is your weapon. Forgiveness is your freedom. Daily bread > one-time miracles.
FOR MEN — FIGHT WISE AT YOUR GOD TREE
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:
1. You were built to lead, but you leak. No God tree (place to meet with God) = no fuel = depression, anger, bad calls at home and work. Mark 1:35
2. You need a Kevin. Lone wolves die. Eccl 4:10 God will use a brother’s call to save you from your own head. Answer the phone.
3. Your presence sets the tone. When you’re heavy, your house is heavy. When you meet God first, you lead from strength, not stress. Neh 8:10
HOW TO INCORPORATE IT THIS WEEK:
– Pick your tree: Chair, car before work, porch. Same spot daily. Doesn’t matter where — Matt 6:6 says shut the door and meet Him.
– Set your time: 15 min before the phone. Early like Jesus. Mark 1:35 Coffee + Bible + honest talk. No performance.
– Text your Kevin: “Yo, I’m building my God Tree routine. Call me out if I go dark.” Prov 27:17 Iron sharpens iron.
– Forgiveness reps: If someone’s in your head, say it out loud: “FORGIVENESS IS FOR US. I drop it. God, give me peace.” Matt 6:14 Do it until the weight lifts.
– Look for the wink: God confirms with 2-3 witnesses. 2 Cor 13:1 That song, that word, that text — write it down. “One monkey don’t stop no show” means one devil don’t stop your assignment.
FOR WOMEN — GUARD YOUR JOY AT YOUR GOD TREE
WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:
1. You set the emotional temperature. Kids, husband, home — they feel what you carry. Prov 14:1 No God Tree = running on fumes = burnout.
2. Wisdom is your weapon. Prov 3:15 Staring at Emmie’s photo reminded Nik: your children are rubies. God’s wisdom > reacting to unfair people. Isa 55:9
3. Joy is strength, not fluff. Neh 8:10 The enemy wants you heavy so you can’t FIGHT WISE. 15 min with God arms you for the whole day.
HOW TO INCORPORATE IT THIS WEEK:
– Claim your corner: Bathroom floor, closet, carpool line before kids wake up. Luke 10:42 Mary chose the better part. You can too.
– Put the ruby there: Photo of your kids, marriage, dream. Let it remind you WHY you need wisdom daily. James 1:5 Ask: “God, give me Your wisdom for them today.”
– Release to get relief: Unforgiveness keeps you in bed spiritually. Say: “God, I forgive __. FORGIVENESS IS FOR US. I take Your peace.” John 14:27 Watch heaviness lift.
– Find your Kevin: Titus 2:3-5_ Who calls you back when you’re down? Text her: “I’m building my God Tree time. Check on me.”
– Collect God Winks: When God speaks through a song, a verse, a friend saying the same thing — write it. Rom 8:28 He’s lining things up. Joy is proof He’s near.
FOR BOTH — THE NON-NEGOTIABLES
1. Your God Tree (time with God) is non-negotiable. 1 Cor 10:13 It’s your way of escape from depression, anger, confusion. Miss it, you miss strength.
2. You’re assigned, not obsessed. 1 Cor 12:18 Kevin, Ceri, Emmie — everybody has a role. You’re part of the body. Show up.
3. Forgiveness is daily bread. Matt 6:14 It’s not once and done. FORGIVENESS IS FOR US — so we stay free, light, and ready.
4. Joy is war strategy. Neh 8:10 The enemy wants you heavy. God wants you armed. Dance, laugh, jump up. You’re not just happy — you’re dangerous.
5. WEROLLWITHGOD.COM is holy ground. Ex 3:5 This isn’t just a website. It’s where we GET TO KNOW GOD BETTER EVERY DAY.
PRAYER FOR TODAY’S BLOG & READERS
Father,
Thank You for Kevin. You sent a brother to lift Nik up when he fell. Thank You that no static, no distance, no depression can block Your voice. Your arm is not too short to save.
Today, Lord, do it again. Be the way of escape for every Neeks reading this in Nigeria, in the US, wherever they are.
Meet them at their God Tree/prayer altar this morning. Like Jesus, let them rise early to a solitary place and find You waiting.
If they’re heavy and can’t get out of bed, command their soul to hope in God. Let Your new mercies lift them. Breathe strength into them to rise like Nik did. Renew their strength.
If they’re staring at their child’s photo, overwhelmed, remind them wisdom is more precious than rubies. Whisper ‘My ways are higher. I’m right here with you.’
If they’re holding unforgiveness, break it. Give them the same mercy You give us daily. Let them know FORGIVENESS IS FOR US so peace can return to their house.
If they need a sign, speak twice. Establish it with 2-3 witnesses. Line up their “One monkey don’t stop no show” moment so they know You’re near. Work all things together.
Let this blog be holy ground. The place is holy because You are here. Let WEROLLWITHGOD.COM be a tent of meeting. Where people know You face to face. GET TO KNOW GOD BETTER EVERY DAY.
Replace heaviness with joy — garlands for ashes. THE JOY OF THE LORD IS OUR STRENGTH. Let joy be their weapon today. Turn mourning into dancing.
Cover Kevin, Emmie, Ceri, and this whole family. Cover them with Your feathers. Every member assigned, every member protected. Keep building the temple. Until all things are under Christ.

8 SCRIPTURE ANCHORS — THE WAR MANUAL ESSENTIALS
1. 1 Corinthians 10:13
God is faithful. He will not let you be tempted beyond your ability, but with the temptation will also provide the way of escape.
Why: Kevin’s call through bad static WAS the way of escape. God sends people to pull you out of depression before it pulls you under.
2. Ecclesiastes 4:10
If either of them falls, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up.
Why: You’re not meant to do this alone. Kevin is the “one” who helped Nik up. Every Neeks needs a Kevin — and needs to BE a Kevin.
3. Mark 1:35
Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where he prayed.
Why: This is the “God Tree” model. If Jesus needed a daily meeting place with the Father, you do too. Routine = relationship.
4. Proverbs 3:15
She is more precious than rubies; nothing you desire can compare with her.
Why: Emmie’s photo reminded Nik of his why. Wisdom from God > any win, any money, any revenge. Your kids are your rubies — make wise decisions for them.
5. Matthew 6:14
For if you forgive other people when they sin against you, your heavenly Father will also forgive you.
Why: “Nik, you gotta forgive” was God’s voice. FORGIVENESS IS FOR US. It’s the key that unlocks peace and gets you out of bed.
6. Romans 8:28
And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him.
Why: “One monkey don’t stop no show” spoken + played on radio = God working ALL things together. When it lines up too perfectly, that’s Him.
7. Nehemiah 8:10
The joy of the Lord is your strength.
Why: This is the war cry. Depression is heavy. Joy is the weapon. You didn’t just get happy at the altar — you got ARMED to FIGHT WISE.
8. Matthew 6:6
But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen.
Why: Your God Tree isn’t about location — Nigeria, US, chair, car, corner. It’s about shutting the door and meeting Him in secret. That’s where strength, joy, and wisdom drop.
