I LOVED OUR CELEBRATORY DINNER!!!

We had a great time at our fav Asian buffet last night! It was the perfect conclusion to another beautiful day with God. I wrote this yesterday:

“LISTEN FOR GOD’S VOICE IN EVERYTHING WE DO!!! The more you pay attention, the clearer His voice gets to the point that you will know precisely what God is saying to you on a moment-by-moment basis.”

And I did exactly that when debating whether to leave work early yesterday, but the feeling from God was to stay, and I was so happy I obeyed. I took a picture of my husband working on a car while Julie and Joshie were close by, and sent it to my brother, Kevin, with a message saying, “Thank u.” God and Kevin have been my guard rails to keep me on the right track by making wise decisions, being patient, and going the extra mile in love and loyalty. God’s ways are not our ordinary ways, they’re so much better! Minutes later, hubby blew me away with a comment to Julie on how he would do his best to assist her with her college endeavors. I thanked him later, and he said something like, “I don’t play around when it comes to my family.” So true!

And that has been the constant message of Kevin, “Manny (my husband) may have his ways, but he is a good guy.” The crazy lady here would focus on his faults and failings a little bit too much, but God and Kevin have been teaching me to focus on the positives, and there are so many. So, when the “bad” show up (nobdy’s perfect!) I can write them off against all his great qualities that I highly admire. I joke that God tricked me into marrying him twenty years ago, but those feelings of peace, excitement, and joy that said, ‘MARRY HIM!’ were truly God’s voice saying, ‘Nik, this is the husband I personally picked for you!’ No joke!

We don’t go wrong following God’s voice! That voice that said stay yesterday at work just left me in awe of God. To be a witness to that conversation with Julie and my husband was God again blowing me away with His love for my family and me. This has been our experience with God:

“Now to Him who is able to [carry out His purpose and] do superabundantly more than all that we dare ask or think [infinitely beyond our greatest prayers, hopes, or dreams], according to His power that is at work within us,” – Ephesians 3:20

He goes beyond our human prayers, hopes, or dreams. It’s just for us to learn His voice and be obedient to what He would have us to do. Not easy, but truly the way to the best life with Him! God even showed up at our office for me yesterday to reveal His Presence with me. Our manager quit, but God was letting me know that HE WAS STILL WITH US! Someone sent me a message on WhatsApp saying, ‘It’s well.’ Fast forward to fourteen minutes later, I opened up a book on our front desk, and the words on the same page I opened to freaked me out, written in capital letters:

“IT IS WELL (Wink! Wink!) WITH MY SOUL,
IT IS WELL, IT IS WELL WITH MY SOUL.”

No way was this some random coincidence! God planted that little surprise there for me to remind me that no matter who leaves or forsakes me, His presence will always be with me. (HUGE SMILE) May we all work on getting closer to God this year, knowing that He is our faithful Companion who stands firm with us no matter the challenges, hurts, setbacks, disappointments, and frustrations that show up. It’s just for us to keep our eyes fixed on him, obeying Him and leaving all consequences with Him. Amen! God is with us and for us!!!

TALK TO GOD ABOUT EVERYTHING!!!

That’s the important message I have for you guys! Nothing more valuable than learning God’s voice and direction for your life. Like a month and a half ago, I was waking up frustrated, upset, angry, and highly bitter every day. So, one Saturday, after selling the car I was driving, I debated with my son, Emmie, about which new car we should go home for the weekend. In my spirit, I was also asking God. The feeling I got from Him (feelings of peace!) was to drive a Jeep. I happily and proudly went home with my son telling him how much I loved it, trying to get him enthusiastic about our family hustle. The next day, I got a sales call, and I tried to sell that same car. And after sending the pics of it, the customer wanted to purchase it. We agreed that I would pick her up Monday morning and then go to my office to make the deal happen. I wrote about it in this old post:

“For example, whenever “311” shows up, it’s His reminder that I should stay on the high road with Him. That I should specifically BE STILL AND KNOW THAT HE IS GOD and that He is behind the scenes of my life fighting battles for me. So, when I want to stress, get frustrated, and anxious about anything, He sends this “311” to beautifully say, ‘Nik, I got you! Relax and enjoy your life!’

So, on Monday, your girl woke up stressing (hey, I’m only human!). But here is how God showed up. First, it was a customer who I offered to pick up. She sent me the address from where she had to return a rental vehicle, and the building number ended in “311.” Next, I’m filling out her application to apply for the loan, and her zip code astonishingly ends in “311.” I submitted her application, and the first bank that approved her, the payment turned out to be exactly “$311.11.” No way these were all random coincidences; they were all orchestrated by God to remind me of His deep love for me and that He is by my side as I bravely, courageously, and lovingly take on my life. HEEHAW!!!”

A month and a half later, that “311” has beautifully guided me. God taught me many lessons here from this experience:

Obey God and leave the consequences with Him. GOD IS PERSONALLY INVOLVED IN OUR LIVES!!! Since then, many extraordinary things have happened with God exceeding my expectations (HE IS AMAZING!!!). The crazy lady would have led me down the wrong path, but God and my brother Kevin kept me on track, STAYING ON THE HIGH ROAD. See, God knows the future and many things that we don’t know. Being obedient to Him is how He guides us on the path to the best life. TRUST ME, GOD KNOWS BEST!!!
Trust God always. We may not see a way and how things will work out, but follow God step by step, moment by moment, day by day, and He will have your back. Wink! Wink! It’s just a matter of listening to Him in the 1,000 decisions you make daily and following where He leads you. Notice even the car to take home that night with my son was a conversation with God, which led to a sale.
STICK CLOSE TO GOD!!! Have your appointments (alone times) with Him where you learn His voice and the person He is calling you to be in the world. I disappear on my runs every day because I know the importance of stopping everything I’m doing to have that quiet time with God. He gives me courage and faith to bravely, lovingly and joyfully take on my life. From there, I involve Him in everything I’m doing, and His guidance is always on point! Even when He asks difficult stuff of me, I just say, ‘God, anything to please you, let me learn!’

FEELING DOWN TODAY!

But I loved reading this old post that reminded me that God is with me through everything:

“EVEN AT MY LOWEST, I’M PRAISING GOD”

That was me yesterday in one of my YouTube videos, and where I want us all, praising and thanking God no matter what is going on in our lives. Yesterday, I was home alone feeling all sorry for myself, and I didn’t want to call my kids to let them know I was missing them. I was having one of my pity parties feeling down physically, mentally, and emotionally. I thought to instead have an appointment with God reading from my book that I’m currently NOT working on. This showed up:

“I cried yesterday listening to a freshman in high school, Madison, pray this prayer at Bel Air’s church in California:

“Dear Lord, thank You for this day. Thank You for waking us up this morning. And thank You for everything You give us. I pray for us to help know Your BOLDNESS. That we will be able to move forward in our faith, in our prayer life, and in everything that we are doing. That you will be at the center of every move we make and KNOW THAT MISTAKES ARE OK. To know that we can move forward and that YOU ARE BY OUR SIDE THROUGH ALL OF IT. And that we will be able to prosper and have abundance and growth and help other people to grow as well through knowing you and knowing your faith and boldness… Amen.”

I smiled with God, feeling reminded that He was by my side through everything I go through, even the low moments. I see His loving hands in every aspect of my life. Yes, sometimes He asks some difficult stuff of me, but when I put them against all He is doing, I just have to say, ‘God, anything for You.’ In fact, I’ve made this my personal challenge from Him and phone’s screensaver:

“I’m challenging you to resist ALL evil with an even STRONGER commitment to love, goodness, and faithfulness.”

Can we all do that for God? Going the extra mile, all for His glory. Someone had really inspired me this week when He said that He sees God reflected in me by how I live my life. I mess up constantly, so that was a nice compliment. He also encouraged me to do a better job in my work for God because He sees how God shows up for us. The more beautiful we are, the more beautiful God looks! Let’s all be His angels in the world. He is increasing my capacity to forgive, overlook, and to be gentler in my interactions with others. Life is hard enough. We don’t need to make it harder for others or ourselves. Wink! Wink!

“WE’RE DEFINITELY IN SYNC!”

That was me to my brother/angel from God, Kevin, a few minutes ago. Something happened this morning, and he was amazed at how his spirit gave him the heads up before it happened. I told him a recent experience with me and how my spirit was also giving me the nudge that there was a problem, but I didn’t listen. Just yesterday, I told my husband that the lesson was for me to pay attention MORE to what my gut/spirit/instinct was saying and not ignore it. Kevin was calling to tell me the exact same thing I told my husband! So, I’m taking it as a reminder for all of us to LISTEN FOR GOD’S VOICE IN EVERYTHING WE DO!!! The more you pay attention, the clearer His voice gets to the point that you will know precisely what God is saying to you on a moment-by-moment basis.

“My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me.” – John 10:27

GOD IS PRETTY TALKATIVE!!! I want us to listen to God all day, every day. I love the appointments with Him that I have with my sons every morning on the way to school. I shared these verses with them yesterday and how they are the foundation of their mom’s life, and God has not led me wrong:

“Trust God from the bottom of your heart; don’t try to figure out everything on your own. Listen for God’s voice in everything you do, everywhere you go; he’s the one who will keep you on track.” – Proverbs 3:5-6

God is an expert in everything, and I’m learning to go to Him for advice in every aspect of my life! Like I told hubby that we should celebrate tonight. He asked what for, and I told him we should celebrate Julie’s award she received last night. The college she attends awarded her for being a part of the Distinction Society and her academic achievement. Again, I can’t get over God, who nudged me in my spirit in Nigeria to send an email to Julie’s high school in the US asking if Julie could attend this college for her last year of school. The entire family was upset at me for pushing Julie out of school early, but I insisted that it was not me, it was God. Now everyone is convinced that it was all planned out by God Himself!

And so many other things we must celebrate, like Emmie getting his third honor roll certificate for the year, Joshie being the most improved version of himself, Duro going hard with his internship with Amazon, Ember is about to finish her first semester of university and hubs and I are celebrating twenty years of marriage, and we’re even more committed to each other than ever before. We may go through our dark nights, but we always come through them stronger. Go figure! A LIFE GUIDED BY GOD CANNOT FAIL!!! God has been the center of our family, and He hasn’t disappointed us.

Make sure you are listening and being obedient to God (even when he asks us to do hard things), as this is the way He guides us on the path to the best life with Him! We still have our share of troubles, just like every other family, but we know who walks with us: GOD!!! Our motto is simply to do our best with whatever He asks of us, and leave the rest with Him! (Wink! Wink!)

“JUST HERE THANKING GOD FOR YOU…

All your advice is seriously working. Three years of wisdom! Thanks for sticking with me. If Emmanuel (my husband) says anything about our relationship now (hubs is low key jealous!), I just tell him to please thank you for keeping his wife’s head together!” That’s me to my brother, Kevin, before my walk today! I always tell you guys how God arranges for the perfect people to be there for me when I need them, and Kevin has been my angel from God Himself to help me get through a pretty rough time. He has been my guard rails/messenger from God to keep me from making some wrong moves with his HEAVENLY advice. Fast forward to being under my God tree some minutes later, look what showed up as if God wanted to say thank you to Kevin, too (HUGE SMILE):

“AN OPEN LETTER TO MY BROTHER, KEVIN

Honestly, God has been EXCEEDING my expectations in every aspect of my life. Not everything is perfect, but I keep striving for perfection, knowing that God is my GREATEST FRIEND, HELPER, STRATEGIST, ADVISOR, COUNSELOR, PROTECTOR, AND TEACHER.

He made that clearer to me last year when he had you come to my rescue with such genuine love, loyalty, and lighthearted yet wise advice that helped me through the worst year of my life. Today, your words are what keep me going and striving to be the best me possible:

– Be on chill (not taking anything too seriously) for life.
– God will level out the mountains. Leave the battles with Him.
– Don’t try to be God, be God’s angel.
– You’re going to have to be patient right now.
– Don’t force anyone to do anything they don’t want to do.
– Marriage is like a team. When one spouse is weak, the other has to take over being strong and vice versa.
– The good, the bad are all a part of God’s divine plan. Even the ants gathering crumbs to take to their nest to feed the baby ants in a world of superjumbo jets.
– You are your own worst enemy!!!
– Don’t call me again (to complain). Only contact me to tell me what a gorgeous life you have.
– I want you to work on being wise.
– SHINE BRIGHT! Let people look at you and say, “Where did this woman get all this strength from.”

I’ve even upped the shine bright to SHINE BRIGHTER, all for God’s glory! Most importantly, our conversations last year have brought me closer to God. Even coaches need coaches! My discussions are mostly in Heaven talking to God Himself.”

Today, I told Kevin that I want to work on being more joyful. Like there is enough stressing people out in the world, I want to be gentler, calmer, lighthearted, playful, and fun to be around; KNOWING GOD HIMSELF IS MY BACK-UP as I take on whatever life throws my way. But Kevin’s advice last year was tops, though, when he advised me to get closer to God and make Him my top priority in a difficult moment. It was so crazy that the God maniac here needed that reminder, but I did! God, bring us all closer to You!!! Amen!

I ALMOST MADE A MISTAKE TODAY!

And I was telling my daughter, Julie, to learn this important lesson that doubt means don’t when I almost sold a car to someone but started to feel hesitant about doing business with them. Minutes later, this old post showed up, and I believe it was God confirming that this would have been a bad move in this old post:

“IT’S NOT ABOUT WORKING HARDER; IT’S ABOUT WORKING SMARTER!”

And the smarter Nikki here has learned that I NEED GOD IN EVERY MOMENT!!! Let me tell ya, this life can get pretty rough and overwhelming, but when I remember God, looking to Him in every moment for His guidance and direction, things amazingly go far better than I can ever imagine or expect.

“It’s a practical experience!” I said to the cashier at Publix a short while ago. “You learn to discern what God is saying to you by giving Him a try. If you feel He is telling you to go in a certain direction and you go with it, test it out and see how it works out. Then, eventually, you will learn His voice clearer and more evident as to what to do and what not to do on a moment-by-moment basis.

“That deal worked out pretty good,” our manager said to me. “What was the lesson?” I asked. I reminded him about when he had initially called me in Nigeria from the US and said to him that I felt good about the customers. I felt God in my spirit, saying that we should release our car to them. After a customer recently took off with one of our vehicles without any intention of paying us for it, I’ve WISELY learned to get God involved in every deal we negotiate. If I feel doubt, the way I felt before I approved that awful deal, I now know that’s God’s way of saying, “DON’T!!!’ However, if I feel peace and a BIG YES in my spirit, that’s God saying, “Yes, this is OK to move forward with.”

So all day, I want us working smarter, not harder! It was a mission getting that stolen vehicle back, but a GREAT lesson to seek God’s face in everything I do. God’s an expert in everything! He knows EVERYTHING about a person’s intention, the future, what’s good for us, what’s not good for us. That’s why I want us RUNNING to Him 24/7, seeking His direction.

And don’t forget your alone times with God! That’s where you learn His character and the person He is calling you to be in the world. What I love about them is that I get serious wisdom in helping me to make the best decisions when I’m back out in the world. He makes me better! I’m loving my God guided life! I don’t even want to imagine where I would be without Him. He makes the difficult times bearable and the beautiful times sweeter, KNOWING HIS PRESENCE IS ALWAYS WITH ME.
I said a special prayer to Him today, “God, I need You!’ I felt Him saying back, ‘No worries, I got you!’ And He hasn’t disappointed me yet! Even with some difficulties this year, He’s turned them around; They were gifts from Him to help wake me up to my life and what He has called me to do.

“Blessed are those who mourn.” Once you get past that mourning period, you awaken to a whole new world. So even when bad and challenging times come, we know that it’s all from the hands of a very LOVING God who ultimately knows what is best for us. I’m learning to take life as a lighthearted dance with God as my fun, loving, and cool dance Partner. Will you join us? God, bring us closer to YOU!!! Amen!

Sorry, I disappeared on you guys, but your girl has been going through ALOT! But like I always tell you guys, we’re not going through life alone, God’s Presence is always with us. Feeling sick and discouraged this morning, this old post was the perfect reminder that God is standing with me no matter the storms.

“WHAT WAS THE BEST PART OF YOUR DAY?” (REPOST)

That was me questioning my Emmanuels (hubby and two sons) while we ate dinner last night. I told them how I was feeling so sick (a cold), discouraged, and overwhelmed by some big balls I have in the air when my son, Joshie, came and asked me if I would like to have an appointment with God with him. I said, “That’s a great idea! I need one right now!”
It was exactly 4:00 so I said let’s read post number 40 from our ‘Purpose Driven Life Devotional For Kids.’ It was the perfect message:
“Eyes on God
“But the Lord was with Joseph and extended kindness to him and gave him favor in the sight of the chief jailer.” – Genesis39:21
…A good example of suffering because of other people is Joseph of the Old Testament (Genesis 37-50). After being sold by his brothers into slavery, Joseph found himself in a foreign country, alone and hurting. He had every right to ask, “Why me?” How was Joseph able to hang in there?
First, Joseph recognized that God has given everyone free choice. No one is a puppet or a robot. We can choose to ignore what is right, and God does not force his will on us.
Second, Joseph knew that God saw everything he went through. He never doubted that God cared about him. There is an important phrase that is found five times in the story of Joseph, each time after a major crisis or defeat: “But the Lord was with Joseph.” Even when everything was going wrong, the Lord was still with Joseph.
Remembering these truths allowed Joseph to survive the pain and forgive his brothers in the end—because he kept his eyes on God.
Prayer: Lord, I need to remember that you are with me through sadness and joy, just as you were with Joseph. Thank you for caring for me and caring about me.”
And that’s been my testimony! No matter the challenges and problems I face, God stands with me. The best solutions would pop to mind when I know I’m not that smart. People I need will magically show up to assist me. God’s total guidance, strength, and wisdom are always my backup no matter what comes my way. I just have to show up with my eyes on God, listening to His direction in every moment as to what He would have me do.

GOD HAS FOUND A NEW WAY OF COMMUNICATING WITH ME

His love is too much!!! Like I told you guys, he recently helped me make a significant decision with the number “411.” So, it didn’t work out after trying really hard to have everything signed on 4/8. Guess the date we ended up having to do it on? 4/11!!! It didn’t stop there! I needed to write a check to activate everything, and I asked my assistant for our checkbook. What was the number on the next available check that she handed to me? 4117! I went for my run by my tree today, but I had to peepee (too much information!), and I rushed home. Getting to the door, I stopped the run, and guess the total time I stopped it? 4:11!!! This may sound crazy, but for me, these all too perfect alignments, give me the Godfidence to take on life superhuman style, KNOWING GOD HIMSELF IS BACKING ME UP WITH HIS LOVE!!! HEEHAW! His perfect love casts away all my fears!!!

Is that amazing or what? God asked me an important question today:

“… isn’t it perfectly clear to you now that My love arranged all this for you?”

I looked around at the beautiful surroundings where I get to live, and I just thanked God for everything He is doing for my family and me. Last night at dinner (no alcohol this time!), I just sucked up every moment enjoying this family God has blessed me with. Hubs and Julie came home from working so hard all day straight to preparing for us two different pots of the most delicious foods that went perfectly together. My biggest complaint about hubs is still that he feeds me too much as he kept piling more food on my plate! The way I see Julie and hubby so close makes me so happy! I proudly tell hubs that while he is at work, my work is raising our fantastic kids. “I MAKE PEOPLE,” I keep telling him! I’m super proud of my work! Emmie came home yesterday with another honor roll certificate! Joshie is an entirely new person these days regarding his grades, focusing, and giving his best that he inspires me to step up. Duro was celebrating a day of great sales working with Amazon!

I say all that to say, don’t’ miss out on a life with God. His plans for us are real good! This verse sums up perfectly my experience with God:

“Now to Him who is able to [carry out His purpose and] do superabundantly MORE than all that we dare ask or think [infinitely beyond our greatest prayers, hopes, or dreams], according to His power that is at work within us,” – Ephesians 3:20

Talking to Ember today, I told her how much I’m enjoying the exercise tights she bought me while she was here on spring break from her country club/university in New York. I told her that I would wear them and remind myself that I must be the strong, calm, wise, and fierce mom she needed. She met with the career services department this week about help preparing her resume so that she can begin her internships starting in the fall. I’m so proud of my work (our kids!), guys! But, the real credit goes to God. In every aspect of my life, HE STANDS STRONG WITH ME. His Holy Spirit guides me to make the utmost best decisions! I have my moments, but when I put everything in a God perspective, I say, God, anything to please You, let me learn!!! His ways are not our human ways!!! OBEY GOD AND LEAVE THE CONSEQUENCES WITH HIM. Say to Him you want a closer walk with Him, too. Then start making Him a priority! Seeking His will in everything you do! This is the way to the best life with Him!

NO MORE ALCOHOL FOR ME

Decided to have a little champagne with hubby last night, and today I’m not my strong self! NOTE TO SELF: NO MORE ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES!!! I don’t need anything to slow me down! Last night, I told my brother, Kevin, “Watch me superman!” Meaning I’m living superhuman style, rising above the ordinary, frail, weak, and annoying human emotions, and stepping up to be the best version of myself, shining bright for God by doing His will, even when He asks difficult things of me like I read in this old post under my God tree today:

LIFE IS A WAR…BUT WE HAVE GOD

HERE’S THE DEAL: Life is full of challenges, trials, tribulations, stress, disappointments, frustrations, sadness, and sorrow. I open my life to tell you that I have my share of them all, but more importantly, I tell you about God showing up to help me get through ANYTHING that comes my way. Heehaw!!!

I love reading my fav devotional, Jesus Calling by Sarah Young, that has brought me so close to God. I hear direct messages from Him that I even keep a copy in our bathroom so that even when I peepee (too much information!), I open it to see what God has to say to me. No shame in my game! And He never fails to reveal His invisible Presence. I especially loved a recent one:

“YOU HAVE EXPERIENCED PERSONAL BENEFITS from thanking me for hard situations, but there is more—much more! Your sacrifice of thanksgiving has divine Power to weaken spiritual stronghold of evil. Moreover, your patient endurance of suffering can strengthen and encourage My people on earth.

“Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding.” – Proverbs 3:5

“For though we live in the world, we do not wage war as the world does. The weapons we fight are not the weapons of the world. On the contrary, they have divine power to demolish strongholds.” – 2 Corinthians 10:3-4

WE ARE NOT GOING BY THE ORDINARY RULES OF LIFE!!! Nothing is impossible for God, baby! It is crucial for us to not lean on our own understanding but trust God wholeheartedly. God can make ANYTHING happen in the spiritual realm on our behalf, even when we don’t see a way.

“The LORD will fight for you; you need only to be still.” – Exodus 14:14

It’s just for us to show up every day as our BEST selves for Him, following His lead by seeking His direction in the 1,000 decisions we make every day. Being tough, brave, courageous, persevering, and STRONG, yet at the same time, calm, patient, gentle, loyal, loving, and forgiving. I promise you, like Sarah Young wrote: “there is more—much more!” (Wink! Wink!) I wish I could tell you guys everything that God is doing for me, but trust me, He gives me more than I can ever ask or imagine from Him. That when He asks me to do difficult things, I simply say, ‘No problem, My Love, I GOT YOU!!!’ Superhero Nik, in the house, all for God’s glory!

GOD LOVES ME TOO MUCH!!!

That’s my testimony, baby! The way He shows up for me in every aspect of my life just blows me away! Like He has been talking to me through an Infiniti QX60 SUV, Sounds crazy, right? But it was a customer in the Bahamas who asked me to purchase one for her. We ended up being great friends, and she shared exactly what hubby and I are going through now of being separated, that she and her husband went through the same thing for three years. She explained it was challenging on their marriage, but they survived. So, whenever I see a QX60 I’m reminded that hubby and I will get through this rough patch, and specifically that THERE IS LIGHT AT THE END OF THE TUNNEL.

On Saturday, there was an ad for the new QX60 on TV. I texted her saying, “Just saw a QX commercial. THERE’S LIGHT AT THE END OF THE TUNNEL. This is hard.” The next day, the crazy lady came out in full force, but let me tell ya, God showed up to calm her down. I turned on my music, and like I always tell you, God talks to me through Apple Music. Of all the songs to randomly play, this one did:

“THERE’S A LIGHT AT THE END OF THE TUNNEL (Wink! Wink!)
Keep your eyes on the road ahead
But if you’re feelin’ lost in the night
It’s okay to cry (Me at that very moment!)
Just as long as you hold your head

‘Cause we’re on our way to better
Better’s ahead, better’s ahead” – Better Days by Ant Clemons

Instantaneously, God melted away all the negative emotions I was feeling and filled me up with His love. Who am I that God would have these specific lyrics to show up amid me having that awful moment? Of all the songs to randomly play, He had this specific one to remind me that I must hold my head high because better days are ahead. (HUGE SMILE)

God used this entire song to speak to me! Like right before this I had decided to add this to the end of my post written hours before:

“Even when He asks us to tackle hard things! We can do all things by His strength! Wink! Wink! He calls me to be the movie character Lucy, the superhuman, not allowing human emotions and frailties to get the best of me but being CALM AND STRONG. Amen!”

The song then says:

“You feel weak, JUST BE STRONG (ooh)
_ Deep breath, STAY CALM”_

Told ya, God is pretty talkative! This song was His way of comforting me in that difficult moment. His love melts away all my stresses and anxieties! “The presence of God will calm your heart in any situation (Rick Warren).” The reason I mentioned Lucy was because outside a few minutes prior to writing the post, I found a cup belonging to one of my kid’s friends with the name “Lucy” on it. I felt this was a message from God Himself for me to be the strong superhero for my family right now. Nik, forget these silly emotions, I need you to be CALM, STRONG, AND WISE. There is light at the end of the tunnel! (Wink! Wink!)

Today, your girl has risen higher, feeling great and grateful! In everything, give thanks, guys! I’m using all the disappointments as fuel and motivation to be better, not bitter! Amen! May we all take on hard things for God by going the extra, extra, extra mile in love, learning to get good at covering the offenses of others! Future generations will thank us! OBEY GOD AND LEAVE THE CONSEQUENCES WITH HIM!!!
