I WENT A LITTLE CRAZY YESTERDAY

Writing this long post saying how God sang to me through this song:

‘Girl you know you with a Winner
Name a place I could take you there
I’d do anything to make you laugh
And you can have anything just ask
But just know that I’m selfish
I can’t help it
But it’s all for you
Yea it’s all for you
I’m selfish
I want you all to Myself
You don’t need nobody else’ – Selfish by PnB Rock

Crazy right? Like why the Creator of the entire universe would say He wants me all to Himself. Well, He even went as far as to confirm that this was Him singing to me. Of all the YouTube content, He had me fall asleep listening to Dr. Charles Stanley say this:

“So look at your adversity, whatever it may be, and ask yourself the question, God, how have I been acting? How have I been responding? And let me just say this, you may not be a Christian, and you think, What in the world is all of this about? Here’s what it’s about, it’s about God, getting your attention. Sending you enough heartache and pain and suffering that finally it’ll drive you to Himself. You can resist it. You can rebel against it, but only to your own hurt and pain. What He wants is to for you to recognize HE CREATED YOU FOR HIMSELF (Wink! Wink!), not for yourself… Surrender your life to Him and watch Him. You say, Will that take away all my adversity? Not necessarily…because you see, look, He knows how much of that you need to make you the person He wants you to be. But you do have two choices. You can rebel or you can surrender. And that’s the best way and that’s my prayer for you.”

God, I surrender! I’m all Yours! I’m not proud of how I’ve been acting like a babyface whiner. I have to go back to my mentality in this old post:

“As of yesterday, August 24, 2020, I want to give my life COMPLETELY to God. To wrap myself in His love (no other love necessary!) and go through every moment of my life KNOWING I’m completely loved, approved of, and accepted by God. To be His girl totally, following His leading at every moment of my life as to what He would have me to do – complete surrender! To be the mother, wife, and person, He would have me to be. Not trying to get love from others, but just showing up as my most loving self, sharing God’s love with everyone. Like my brother, Kevin, taught me, I want to SHINE BRIGHT. Like if you’re not rolling with God, you’re missing out on the best life! I want everything about me to REFLECT Him:

“Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do, do all to the glory of God.”

I just wanna be His, glorifying and enjoying Him! That means continually keeping my focus on God as I walk through life wrapped up in His arms, sucking up all His love and attention!”

Today, as of February 25, 2022, I want to rededicate my life to God, and may my life be all for His glory. Every circumstance. Every relationship. Every decision. Amen.

‘I WANT YOU ALL TO MYSELF’

That’s God singing to me yesterday:

‘Girl you know you with a winner
Name a place I could take you there
I’d do anything to make you laugh
And you can have anything just ask
But just know that I’m selfish
I can’t help it
But it’s all for you
Yea it’s all for you
I’m selfish
I want you all to myself
You don’t need nobody else’ – Selfish by PnB Rock

And the reason I can say confidently that this was God singing to me is because of all the love and attention He shows me. Like yesterday, I got a call from my WISE AND WONDERFUL cook in Nigeria, Victoria. I said to her, “I have to go back to your advice: “When you are with your husband, he is your husband. When you’re not with your husband, he is not your husband. When you see him just do what you do when he comes home from work, “Honey, how are you, honey. How was your day, honey? Just pet him up. Don’t stress yourself about anything else.”

I hung up from her, and I went back to watch for the cars I was waiting to buy at the auction (the family hustle!). I started thinking, ‘Nik, you really need to listen to Victoria. Just sweet up your husband when you speak to him and just have a mini-vacation from him for now. Be happy!’ I then turn to watch the auction to see if the car was up that I was waiting for, and unbelievably, I look on the screen and of all the auto dealerships, VICTORIA (Wink! Wink!) AUTO SALES is bidding for a vehicle. I just smiled with God because I knew this was another God wink where everything lined up too perfectly to be some random coincidence, it was Him again figuring out a sweet way to let me know that His Presence is always with me. He knows intimately what is going on with every detail of my life.

But the God wink didn’t stop there!!! So, when debating what to write about today, I thought about sharing how this Victoria Auto Sales showed up at the auction. Minutes later, I go to have an appointment with God at 25 minutes past the hour on page 25 of our family’s website, and look what incredibly showed up there:

GOD GETS IN ON OUR FAMILY JOKE!

This God wink started from Joshies’ first day of summer camp almost two weeks ago. He told me about a short guy in his class who began referring to another slightly overweight kid in the class as “BIG DADDY.” I told him how mean and terrible that was (for the record), but we ended up keeping this “BIG DADDY” as my little fun nickname for Joshie. Then one day, I’m talking to my husband, and Joshie says to him, “Hey, BIG DADDY!” and we’ve all just been having a terrific time with this “BIG DADDY” thing.

Fast forward to this morning, I’m talking to my husband, and I asked him, “Do you want me to call you Papa Bear or BIG DADDY? I like calling you BIG DADDY (SMILE).” We were buying cars together at the auction, and there was a Range Rover he was interested in buying, and I said, “This is a BIG DADDY RANGE ROVER.” You guys are not going to believe this, but in less than one hour after our conversation, a message came up for one of the sales at the auction saying, “If sale – Online Bid: BIG DADY CARS INC. (Wink! Wink!)”

See the love and attention I receive from God! He confirmed that it was Him revealing His Presence with me yesterday when Victoria Auto Sales showed up. This is what gives me the peace, joy, and courage to take on my life that God is with me at every moment. Yes, He does ask some difficult stuff of us (this pretending you don’t see what you see and not hearing what you hear is HARD!), but I write off the hard things against all the good God is doing for me (even singing to me that He wants me to Himself).

I had such a beautiful day with my God and my kids yesterday. Joshie and I looked for cars at the auction to purchase today, and to see him so enthusiastic about our family hustle made this mama so proud and happy. Emmie came over and gave me the longest hug ever and I was grateful to God that I get to be this superhero mom on His behalf. Julie jokingly said she wanted to have an intervention with me because she feels I like half and half milk a little bit too much. So, when she went out, I called her asking, ‘Can you please bring some half and half when you come home please?’ Just having fun with her! I LOVE MY LIFE WITH GOD!!! I must thank Big Daddy hubby for this huge sacrifice he has made for our kids to be here in the US and him staying in Nigeria without us. It hasn’t been easy on our marriage, but I’m doing with what one of my fav songs say:

“So come on, let it go
Just let it be
Why don’t you be you
And I’ll be me?
Everything that’s broke
Leave it to the breeze
Why don’t you be you
And I’ll be me?” – Let it Go by James Bay

It is what it is, guys! Sometimes you just have to wipe the spit from your face and swallow some bitter pills, but you do it for God. He tells me to take everything out on Him, practicing patience and keeping silent, and staying on the HIGHEST road, leaving difficult battles with Him. Julie and I are anxiously waiting to see the university God has picked for her. My other daughter is certainly enjoying the one where we know God Himself selected for her without any doubt. We are just praying for His will to be done in all aspects of our lives. Amen.

GOD IS ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS WITH ME!!!

And He makes His Presence known. Almost two weeks ago, I suggested that a customer start a YouTube channel. He texted that he was thinking of a channel title. In my spirit, I felt God saying he should name it, ‘IT’S A VIBE,’ and he will explain the vibe. Well, fast forward to yesterday evening, he was at our office, and we got a chance to talk for a bit. We left out together, and as I’m driving home, with God being my DJ, look what song incredibly randomly started playing:

‘IT’S A VIBE’ (Wink! Wink!) Song by 2 Chainz

Again, this was one of my God winks where everything lines up a little bit too perfect to be some ordinary coincidence. I called the customer, and he said, “This is a sign.” And trust me, it was a sign that God’s Presence never leaves us. Every thought, every text message, every moment of our lives, HE IS THERE. For all the songs to play, minutes after leaving this person who I suggested to start a YouTube channel with that very name, was all God. No doubt. Although invisible, God makes His Presence felt!

And the vibe is what I hope you are picking up from these posts. That we have access to God’s voice on a moment-by-moment basis. We can feel a vibration in our souls about what God is saying. Like me telling him that ‘It’s a Vibe’ should be his YouTube channel name. I felt God whispering it to me. And that song playing was God confirming, ‘It was me, Nik!’

So, that’s where I want us, picking up on God’s vibes in every moment. Learning His ways of communicating with you by practicing what you feel He is telling you. Doubt, hesitation, anxiety, not feeling peaceful when thinking of going in a specific direction is God saying, ‘Hold up, let’s rethink this.’ However, feelings of peace, excitement, enthusiasm, and joy are God saying, ‘Yes, this is a good choice!’ So, all day, practice listening to God. Then look back and see how those things work out. Then you acquire the beautiful habit of always listening to God and being obedient to what He is saying to you.

“Hard things are hard,” I just told my brother, Kevin. God has taken me out on this limb with Him, entirely out of my comfort zone, to do some pretty extraordinary things. But I do not doubt that He is with me every step of the way as I take on this tough stuff. Faith over fear, baby! Talking to my daughter, Ember, yesterday, at her country club/university, I was reminded to keep my eyes on the prize and make wise decisions by following God and not the crazy lady who tries her best to distract me. Devil and crazy lady, go away, please! I’m on a crucial, heroic mission on behalf of God Himself! (HUGE SMILE)

“Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes.” – Ephesians 6:10-11

“STRONG AND SOFT”

That’s the name of a tissue brand I love! I had fun cleaning the bathrooms at our office, feeling so enthusiastic about teaching our kids the family hustle and crucial values, baby! Like this idea of being both soft and hard, you need both! That’s what God has been teaching your girl here. The trick is involving God in every decision asking when to use what. I’m talking constant, constant conversations with God, all day, every day. It’s a continuous battle to ask God to be the love and priority of our lives, making decisions from His perspective, not our emotional and crazy selves.

Like being away from my husband and taking charge of our business here, your girl is learning to be strong, brave, courageous, bold, unflinching, tough, determined, and fearless. That’s where a relationship with God comes sweetly in. Like yesterday, He figured out the perfect way to let me know that I’m not handling this car business alone. He is with me. We have the motto at our car business that we won’t sell vehicles we won’t drive ourselves, and so I went the extra mile in testing a vehicle myself after a mechanic had fixed it. Can you believe at exactly 3:11, God took my attention to the last three digits of the trip odometer of the vehicle, and it said 311. That lined up too perfectly to be some ordinary coincidence. It was God Himself letting me know that He is personally involved in this family hustle with us and that He is intimately involved in every moment of my life (HUGE SMILE). Me and my sons were so proud driving that vehicle, knowing we were selling a great car to our customers.

And that 311 showing up was again a reminder from God regarding me being soft and staying on the high road with Him:

“But the Spirit produces the fruit of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. There is no law that says these things are wrong.” – Galatians 5:22-23

Super tough, let me tell ya, but that’s where the self-control and constant conversations with God come in, asking Him what He would have you to say, what He would have you to do, and where He would have you to go. As I stay on the high road with God, he floods me with His favor and blessings, and why I say, ‘God, anything to please You let me learn. Amen.’ Make sure you have your appointments with Him where you learn His voice and specific guidance for your life. Back to enjoying the day with my kids and our family hustle where God is our Boss!!! Wink! Wink!

“The Lord will bless His people with peace.” – Psalm 29:11

MY LIFE IS A MESS RIGHT NOW, AND THAT’S OK!

These verses come clearly to mind:

“Though the fig tree does not bud and no fruit is on the vines, though the olive crop fails and the fields produce no food, though the sheep are cut off from the fold and no cattle are in the stalls, yet I will exult in the LORD; I will rejoice in the God of my salvation.” – Habakkuk 3:17-18

That no matter how terrible the situation, I can rejoice knowing God is with me at every moment. Giving me His unconditional love, approval, help, wisdom, favor, tact, personality, charm, strength, angels, unlimited resources, friendship, protection, insights, power, and strategies to help guide me through any set of intimidating circumstances. Our hope is in God!

Are you developing your relationship with God? Trust me, we need Him! Like every Sunday, I said I want to talk to my husband about our business here to get his involvement about the direction he would like us to go in as a company. And every Sunday, I leave that conversation as if I’ve been run over by a truck! My husband is not easy, he is brutal with his words. But can you believe I’m grateful for those difficult conversations? Yes, because I see God using them to refine me. To toughen me. Make me stronger, UNBREAKABLE, baby, and able to take on not only hubby’s tough criticisms but whatever life throws my way. With God’s assistance at every second, I got this!

I’m now able to respond to hubby knowing my ultimate approval is from God, not the husband who loves to go crazy on me. God sees me waking up at 4:30 in the mornings trying my best to keep everything going, so I now know NOT to look to other humans for love and approval. In fact, yesterday, while waiting in the dentist’s office, music started playing by itself in my earphones, and I knew without a doubt, this was God singing to me:

“You should let me love you
Let me be the one to
Give you everything you want and need
Baby good love and protection
Make me your selection
Show you the way love’s supposed to be
Baby you should let me love you” – Let Me Love You by Mario

That’s been God’s song to me for YEARS, but NOW I get it (hey, I’m a slow learner!). God, I will now take you up seriously on that offer! I’m finally getting the message that I’m to look to God for my love, not to other humans. My job is then to share God’s love with everyone, including this GREAT husband I have. I told him after he royally fussed me out that we will never forget what he has done by allowing his family to leave him in Nigeria to go to school in the US. So, no matter what he does, we just have to bury the bad against all the good. And there is so much good. I need to read this dedication I wrote to him every day, though (LOL!):

“My Hon, when I met you, I loved you because you were perfect. Fifteen years later, I know you’re not perfect, but I love you even more. Thank you for putting up with me, your also imperfect, God maniac wife! I want to show you every day that God loved you so much that He gave me to you as your wife. I’m honored to spend my life with you and to be the mother of our four beautiful children.”

So, don’t play around with your relationship with God! We need to offer Him our hands at every moment, seeking His guidance in helping us be the super tough, loving, and JOYFUL people He would have us to be in the world. Gotta run to take my son, Joshie, to do a Spanish makeup test! My sweetie is tackling these difficult classes like a real champion! I’m so proud of my family, y’all! We ain’t perfect, but we’re close! All glory goes to God Himself for all His help!

“You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in you.” – Isaiah 26:3

“OBEY GOD AND LEAVE THE CONSEQUENCES TO HIM”

That’s the advice I’m running with from Dr. Charles Stanley. Your girl has been going through a tough time with a situation, but listening to him (another one of my messengers from God!) yesterday, I knew precisely what God would have me do. He spoke very sternly to me in his YouTube sermon entitled, ‘Wisdom for Life’s Trials:’

“One of the most frequently asked questions is this: Why is it that God, who’s a loving Father, allows His children to go through such terrible trials? Painful, sorrowing trials (me right now!). Where is God in all that? And there is an answer in the Word of God. It ‘s the only place you can get the real answer. So what does the Word of God say about the trials that you and I face? Well, I want you to turn, if you will, to James chapter one, because he deals with this whole issue of facing these trials in our life and facing them WISELY (Exactly what my brother, Kevin has been teaching me. He told me he wanted me to work on being a wise woman).

“Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, for once He has been approved, he will receive the crown of life which the Lord has promised to those who love him.” (This verse spoke directly to me because I feel I get knocked upside the head continuously, but I keep getting back up and going back into the ring to get more blows in the head (not real blows, by the way!), but I do it for God’s crown on my life. He is my reward. He gives me more than I can ever ask or imagine.)

Does he really and truly mean that I am to have joy when I encounter various trials? In other words, we might say joy, or, put it this way, trials and tears; trials and heartache; trials and burdens; trial and rejection; trial and suffering. But trial and joy, those two don’t go together. Well, they don’t go together unless you understand God’s viewpoint of what life’s all about…In order to understand the trial, and in order to understand it in a fashion that I’m able to have this deep sense of joy down inside in spite of what’s happening, I have to have wisdom. I need wisdom to know how to look at this.

So, let’s define wisdom. Wisdom is simply this. The Bible says all wisdom starts with reverencing God. Wisdom is viewing things, listen, seeing things from God’s viewpoint and then responding according to scriptural principles. It isn’t enough for me to see as God sees it, but I’m to respond in the way that fits who I am as a follower of Jesus and to fit the Holy Scriptures.

So it’s seeing it as He sees it and following the scriptural principles that He gives to us. And when we do that, for example, I think it’s pretty evident we will be able to evaluate circumstances in people and make the right decision. And we’ll be able to make decisions based on the past experiences in our life, the present situation that’s there, and the future plans that we have.”

Exactly what I’m doing to make the right decisions! I’m looking at past experiences, the present, and future based on Godly principles (not the world’s) that have worked for me:

“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance (patience), kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control.” – Galatians 5:22

“Don’t ever let love and loyalty leave you. Tie them around your neck, and write them on your heart. Then God will be pleased and think well of you and so will everyone else.” – Proverbs 3:3-4

“The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.”- Exodus 14:14

“Honor those leaders who work so hard for you… Overwhelm them with appreciation and love.” – 1 Thessalonians 5:12-13

Not easy when the crazy lady wants to come out, but I do it based on knowing that God’s ways for my life are always best. His wisdom has never failed me. In fact, they have guided my life to a beautiful path despite the difficulties and challenges that I face. I can indeed count it all joy that God is using everything for my good and helping me to become the wife, mother and person He would have me to be. Amen. TRUST ME; WE NEVER LOSE WITH GOD.

Thank you, Dr. Stanley, for all the sermons that are helping to guide me confidently through a rough time in my life. (HUGE SMILE)

HI, I’M ONEKA, AND I’M VERY CLOSE TO GOD

But, that doesn’t mean I’m immune from going through everything everyone else goes through, it’s just that I go through them knowing God is my Senior Pilot, and He is lovingly guiding me through anything that comes my way. About 14 years ago, I said a prayer, ‘God, I want a closer walk with You.’ Let me tell ya, that was the best prayer I’ve ever said because, although I can’t see God, I feel His invisible Presence always with me. My meditation book, Jesus Calling, puts it like this, written as if God is speaking to us:

“As you go through this day, look for tiny treasures strategically placed along the way. I lovingly go before you and plant little pleasures to brighten your day. Look carefully for them, and pluck them one by one. When you reach the end of the day, you will have gathered a lovely bouquet.”

Like yesterday, my daughter Julie and I had to go the extra mile in delivering a vehicle we had sold to a customer (the family hustle is on!). As I’m driving, there is a car directly in front of me with a tag saying, “ALI3N.” I tried taking a picture of it when traffic had slowed down to send it to a friend who I refer to as my “ALIEN” because of her out-of-this-world kindness to us. The picture didn’t work, and I was so busy yesterday, I decided to call her this morning to tell her about it, but she was busy. I sent her the following text:

“Just telling you how I was behind a car yesterday with a license plate that said “ALI3N.” You are in God’s thought! No coincidence! Laters!”

Fast forward a few hours, she called me back, and we chatted for a bit. I reminded her of the advice my brother, Kevin, gave me, “Get closer to God! We need Him!” As we talked, I joined my daughter, Julie, in her car to go for Starbucks coffee. We ended the call, and Julie and I parked and proceeded to walk into Starbucks. I gave her a big hug because she has gone the extra mile for me as a daughter. I noticed that she smelled nice, so I asked her what perfume she was wearing. Guess the name, guys?

“ALIEN”

Now, tell me, is all of this a random coincidence that I’m telling my friend about a license plate I just happened to be behind yesterday? To text her about it. To speak to her about it and for the conversation to finish and minutes later deciding to hug my daughter. To smell her only to find out she is wearing the perfume named “ALIEN.” Yup, that was the name of the perfume! It was ALL God lovingly and strategically arranging this to remind all of us of His super deep and very PRESENT involvement in our lives.

This is what gives me the strength, joy, and courage to take on my life the best I can (like a champion!). My help comes from the Lord Himself, baby! KNOWING His invisible Presence is behind the scenes orchestrating events in the spiritual realm on my behalf. Make sure and say this prayer with me, “GOD, I WANT A CLOSER WALK WITH YOU!!! AMEN!!!”

WEROLLWITHGOD.COM

GOD, YOU’RE THE MAN RIGHT NOW!!!

God is blowing me away with all the love attention He shows me!!! In every aspect of my life, He is showing up! Like, I called my husband in Nigeria asking for help with a vehicle that we had already sold with a coolant problem. He was busy and didn’t have time for me, as usual! (LOL!) Can you believe within the hour, a mechanic friend just happened to stop by and was able to diagnose the problem within minutes? It was the radiator cap! After my other mechanic had thoroughly checked it and couldn’t figure out the problem. He was also able to help another who had just stopped by with a minor issue. I’ve referred to this person as my angel from God so many times. Still, him showing up unannounced like that to help me with two issues I had going on right then and there, even blew the God maniac here away. Our help comes from the Lord, baby!

Although I cannot see God, I feel His Presence always with me! Another recent car purchase, I told our manager to please have the mechanic check to see if it was swerving. Then, today, I go to pick up a car, and the shop owner is discussing with a mechanic that the vehicle has an alignment problem and that it is swerving. The owner said, “Wow, you really know your cars!” Your girl is a real car dealer now!!! That again even blew me away with the wisdom and guidance I get from God. He gave me the heads up to pay attention to that specific issue when I had not even as much as sit in the car. Incredible!

I get back from the mechanic shop, minutes after the swerving issue, and God brings my attention to the calendar in our front office, where He always speaks to me through. On the wrong date, it says:

“When you put God on the spot with unswerving faith, He can’t help but give you all the help you need.

“Behold, God is my helper.” – Psalm 54:4

Help is what God is giving me, and I don’t want you guys missing out! He is making my faith stronger every day with all the attention He seems to pay to precisely what’s going on with my life. Even this dark period I’ve been going through, today He said this to me:

“You can believe, can’t you, that your God used this trial as a new way of getting your attention so that you would take a firmer grip on Him?” – He and I

God, I would go through ten times worst of a dark time if I knew it would bring me here where I know without any doubt, I’m Your girl, and You’re My Man! I’m obsessing about You now!

Today, I was singing to Him this love song:

My whole life has changed

Since you came in

I knew back then

You were that special one

I’m so in love

So deep in love

You make my life complete

You are so sweet

No one competes

Glad you came into my life” – Differences, Ginuwine

THE BEST LIFE IS WITH GOD!!! We can’t see Him, but trust me, HE IS ALWAYS THERE!!!

I’M FEELING SO CLOSE TO GOD RIGHT NOW!!!

The way He has been showing up for me, showing up for me, and showing up for me, baby! I’m completely blown away by all His love and attention (HUGE SMILE). The love and attention I want you feeling for yourselves, knowing that never for one second are we without His invisible Presence accompanying us through the ups and downs of life. HEEHAW!!!

Like yesterday, I was walking/jogging to my God tree. I called my baby sister, Juanita, to pass on the advice from God and my big brother, Kevin, to learn to control my emotions, stay cool and calm, and respond wisely to situations. This is a weak area for me, and I want her to learn to work on this discipline. I love being a big sister! Fast forward about 5 minutes, I get to my God tree, and because it was 14 minutes past the hour, I went to page 14 of our family’s website and look what incredibly showed up:

““The LORD will fight for you, AND YOU ONLY HAVE TO BE SILENT.” – Exodus 14:14

God has been teaching your girl here all about keeping silent and venting to Him. That I should hide all my ugliness in His heart (it’s a hospital). SUPER TOUGH when the crazy lady wants to come out, but that’s where the praying all day every day comes in. GOD TEACHES ME TO CONTROL MY EMOTIONS (Wink! Wink!), put on a poker face when necessary, and be wiser in making decisions. Smile. Be calm. Loving. Patient. Forgiving. Self-controlled. Peaceful. Brave. And good. Knowing that he is in the background of our lives fighting battles on our behalf once we do this.”

This lined up too perfectly to be some ordinary coincidence! It was God reminding me that He is involved in every conversation, thought, and moment of my life. And the winks didn’t stop there!

Joshie and I met a beautiful young lady, Johanna, yesterday at our community’s clubhouse. I told her that the foundation of my life is based on a poem by Mother Teresa, that in the final analysis, everything is between God and us, not between us and anyone else. Fast forward to me going home and having to work until late last night getting our home cleaned and clothes washed, I went to bed tired but said let me see what God had to say to me at 56 minutes past the hour on page 56 of our website. Look what astonishingly showed up:

“… I was so happy that these things were said because it taught me not to look to other humans for my approval because you could be your best, and that best may never be good enough for other people. I looked up the Mother Teresa poem, ‘Do Good Anyway’ and had Joshie read just first and last parts, explaining that this is the basis for my decision making:

“People are often unreasonable, illogical and self-centered;
Forgive them anyway…
Give the world the best you have, and it may never be enough;
Give the world the best you’ve got anyway.
You see, in the final analysis, it is between you and your God;
It was never between you and them anyway.””

Then, this morning, I woke up to an appointment with God where I shared how my hubby and I were up at 2 am watching the Vice-Presidential debate from Nigeria with our daughter, Julie, in the US. When Julie woke up today, I told her about the appointment with God and that I would do my best to make the wisest decisions to help her get to university in New York with her sister. Momma needs to check her emotions and keep silent! God help me!

I go to my God tree about an hour later, I said let me go with the day’s date of 17 to see what page 17 had to say, and look what showed up there:

“Especially after watching the Vice-Presidential debate from Nigeria at 2 am with my daughter, Julie, watching it in the US. My husband came down and joined us later into it. We ended up calling Julie together, and I was reminded that I’m to keep my eyes on the prize – God’s plan for my family. I MUST ignore the distractions that want to pop up and take me off my groove. Like someone correctly advised me, sometimes you must say, “Forget you and the horse you rode in on!!!” To get anywhere in this life we must become PROFESSIONAL IGNORERS, (kindly and respectfully, of course), otherwise we waste time fighting useless and unnecessary battles. My eyes are on the prize, baby!”

It was a REPOST of the post I had read earlier! See why I’m feeling so close to God! And I can go on and on with more stories, but I want you getting close to Him for yourself. His invisible Presence is always with us. It’s just for us to tap into His voice and learn the different ways of His communications. Let me tell ya, He is pretty talkative!!! (ANOTHER SMILE)

“YOU CAN TAKE IT OUT ON ME”

That’s God speaking to me on Valentine’s Day through Justin Bieber’s song Take it Out on Me. Let me tell ya, God had this entire Album, Changes, written especially for me. So, on Valentine’s Day, I listened to it repeatedly, reminded of God’s deep, profound love for His girl here. The song continues:

“Sometimes I don’t mind you havin’ the worst day…
Let your frustrations out right here
I’m your psychiatrist, let’s talk about it…
I see the weight weighin’ on your shoulders
It’s so heavy
Let me be the meaning of your composure
You can take it out on me…
I’ll be your punching bag, hit me with all of your might
And get it all out ’til you feel light
Yeah, I’m your plug
Whatever you need, I’ll make sure you get enough
And when your battery gets low
I’ma be the one to charge you up
Let me massage your mental and your physical
Whenever you lose doubt, I’ll be your miracle
When you’re around me, you should feel invincible
Please don’t forget that”

This is God’s message to you too! There is so much tension, anger, frustrations, and anxieties right now going on with everyone, but I’m a living witness that God is there through all of it. Let Him be the meaning of our composure, being calm and trusting He is with us through the good, bad, and ugly, trusting His with all our hearts.

I loved some messages from my angel/brother, Kevin, yesterday. He reminded me that we all are crazy sometimes, but, importantly, God is our co-pilot, helping us through the difficult and turbulent times. When we are weak, He’s our strength. Honestly, the last two years, I’ve been on this rough emotional roller coaster, but God has stayed STRONG with me. I have no doubt whatsoever now that He is behind the scenes helping me. Even right now, I can’t get over how He protected me from making an awful decision. God, thank You!!!

This is why when the Bible says a person strikes you on one cheek, turn and offer him the other also. God telling me to stay on the high road with Him with my 311 showing up all over the place, loving extravagantly and forgiving endlessly, has been the best advice. When I compare my losses to all the blessings in my life from God (the huge wins), I say no problem, God, anything to please You, let me learn. The things I must suffer and endure, I do it for His glory.

I did a video call with hubby in Nigeria yesterday, showing off our beautiful life that he works so hard to make happen for us. With him, too, I can count all the losses against all the good that he brings to our lives. Ain’t nobody perfect! A pastor friend prayed for us yesterday that we can overcome any trouble that comes our way, by the grace of God. Amen.

Thank you, Justin Bieber, for my love songs from God.
