GOD HAS BIGGER PROBLEMS TO DEAL WITH THAN YOURS!!!
Was the remark I got from someone who is sincerely trying to help me get over my constant falls with an issue I get so crazy and depressed over. I explained that the stumbles have been good for me, though, because they’ve PUSHED me directly into God’s arms, where He seems to be right there waiting on me with such love and attention as if I’m the only person in the world.
“Mom, are you having a mental breakdown?” my daughter, Julie, asked yesterday. I looked at her and immediately knew it was time for me to lock up in my bathroom and have a time-out with God. And like I said, He was there waiting for me. I decided to go to our family’s website, werollwithgod.com, to hear from Him, and believe it or not, my two most recent posts did the trick, especially this portion that I read twice:
““Brothers and sisters, think about the things that are good and worthy of praise. Think about the things that are true and honorable and right and pure and beautiful and respected.” – Philippians 4:8
In other words, Nik, STOP ALL THIS CRAZY THINKING!!! YOU HAVE SO MUCH GOOD YOU CAN FOCUS ON INSTEAD!!! The reason why I was so sure this was God was because so many times I’ve fallen in this same area, and God would figure out some way for this EXACT verse to show up, and I would just smile with Him. ‘Ok, God, I get the message, AGAIN!’ The crazy lady immediately went away.”
Phew, the crazy lady went away AGAIN, ‘Nik, you have so many positive things to focus on. But, I decided to stay a little longer asking God for a page number to go to out of our 53 pages on the site, and when I saw July 15 at the bottom, I quickly went to page 15 and look what incredibly showed up in the very top post on that page:
“…It was my Therapist (God) letting me know that He sees me, and He is with me to help me go through any situation that comes my way. Heehaw! And about these ugly, negative thoughts that plague me, He constantly reminds me of this ONE verse:
“Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.” – Philippians 4:8 (NIV)
Yes, my Therapist! (SMILE)”
See the sweetness of God!!! For Him to take me directly there was no coincident! THE GREAT NEWS IS THAT HE IS AVAILABLE TO US ALL 24 HOURS A DAY!!! It’s up to us to develop a relationship with Him so that we have ears to hear Him, and eyes to see Him.
I got to work, and my manager surprisingly says, “You’re the strongest person I know! You’re the closest I’ve ever seen anyone with God.” And believe it or not, it’s these constant falls I have to thank for that. I go running to God, no shame! His love casts away my fears, worries, and stresses, little by little, and I’m continually reminded of who I am and, most importantly, WHOSE I AM – God’s SUPERGIRL, baby! Don’t miss out on a relationship with Him!!!
That’s the message I’m learning, and CONFIRMED by T.D. Jakes last night. It was a sermon picked by YouTube’s Autoplay, but picked by God specifically for me, entitled, ‘Trusting God When He Says NO.’ Pastor Jakes particularly got my attention when he talked about having days when he didn’t want to get out of bed when I recently entitled one of my videos, ‘I Didn’t Want To Get Out of Bed.’ LOL! So, I definitely related, and I PAID ATTENTION.
It was incredibly a sermon from five years ago but spoke directly to my life TODAY. Like in me praying (begging!!!) God to take an extremely HARD issue away from me, and He has repeatedly says, ‘Nope, Nik, I’m not!’ It’s an issue that gets me so angry and upset that God seems to bring directly to my face to deal with constantly. I say, ‘God, I did not need to know this!!!’ Pastor Jakes even brought two of my fav people in from the Bible, Jesus and the Apostle Paul, and how God told them “no” as well.
Let me tell you, I even have a picture of Jesus in my bathroom, y’all, carrying his cross because it’s my constant reminder that God has asked me to carry my cross – this very issue that keeps me so crazy, sad and depressed where I keep asking, ‘God, what is wrong with me?!?’ Even though I’ve asked God to take it away MANY times, He doesn’t, and I eventually just repeat what Jesus said, “Your will not mine be done.” Then, the Apostle Paul asked three times for a thorn to be removed from his side, but God told him “no” and said His grace was sufficient that when we are weak, His strength will come through for us.
Right after listening to the sermon, I go to have an appointment with God reading my meditation book, He and I, and can you believe God confirmed that it was a sermon picked by Him for me? As I continued reading from where I had last left off, these words showed up, “My grace is sufficient for you.” Then as I continued reading some more, Jesus’ words also miraculously appeared: “My Father—‘Your will not Mne be done.’ That was a double God wink after both of these quotes had just shown up in Pastor Jakes’ sermon.
Do you guys like how God sweetly told me, “NO.” Nik, I’m not giving you what you’ve been praying for, but I do promise that My Presence will always be here to help you deal with this situation, and my grace is sufficient for you – when you are weak, I will be your strength. And by the way, as you deal with this FRUSTRATING issue, I want you teaching others about all the hard lessons you’re learning from having to deal with it too. My response, the same as Jesus’: “My Father—‘Your will not Mine be done.’
As for those difficult lessons, Apostle Paul summed them up perfectly:
“But the Spirit produces the fruit of love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control. There is no law that says these things are wrong.” – Galatians 5:22-23
And if God wants me carrying this cross, I will do so joyfully, lovingly and patiently. God, anything for You! Thanks for taking such excellent care of my family and me. Everything is between You and me, not between me and anyone else.

‘GOD, WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME?!?’
That was me questioning Him yesterday after I kept falling, upset and crazy, thinking TOO much about an issue that I keep saying I would not get upset and crazy about anymore. But here is where the sweetness of God comes in. I got in a super cleaning mode, and I know He was behind me picking up a piece of paper from my bedroom floor, where I had written this weeks ago:

Then, this showed up in my meditation book, as I sat for an alone time with Him:
“I take you as you are, with your regrets; so just be sorry. Tell Me that you will be more careful tomorrow. Don’t you think that I prefer someone who has fallen and repented to one full of pride in his good deeds? The self-righteous lose all merit. Then always be little… Get a true picture of yourself in all your weakness, without even the possibility of being good without Me. But in the distress of your poverty, look at all My riches: they are all yours. Look at my goodness and throw yourself into My arms. Look at My love without ever being afraid. I am your Savior.” – He and I
So, there I was beating up myself, and God figured out a way to get me back up without any judgement or guilt. Just that I could just be more careful next time. How sweet is that? Unlike humans who are quick to cut us off when we mess up, God LOVINGLY welcomes us to come even closer to Him, with His arms wide open to receive us.
What doesn’t kill us, makes us stronger! And your girl here is getting stronger, knowing God is with me! A depressing day ended up ultimately being a great day because God showed up to sweetly remind me that His invisible Presence is always with me, even if I fall a million times. He also gave me the proper MINDSET to tackle this issue in the future: FOCUS ON THE POSITIVES, and that even if I fall, no problem, I can just resolve to do better next time – no guilt, no judgments, no condemnation. And, CRUCIALLY, we can ALL do the same for others when they fall, being even more loving to those who hurt us. Let’s reflect God’s unconditional love, which is PATIENT AND KIND. Kk?
My husband, that is! LOL! I told you guys that I’m here in Florida trying to get our business on track, away from the shadow of my husband, who I’m used to running the show for us and taking charge of tough situations. But God has called me on a new path, out on a limb without hubs. And let me tell ya, it’s been quite tricky, and sometimes your girl here gets hugely overwhelmed.
Like I did yesterday. So, I called hubs in Nigeria, just looking to him for a little strength and encouragement, but he was busy with an urgent call and couldn’t talk. It turns out, that was the BEST THING because I sat down in my bathroom, on my Minnie Mouse stool, and I poured my heart out to God.
‘God, what is going on with me today?’ I ended up reading my meditation book, Jesus Calling, and when three of the verses I shared in yesterday’s post showed up in the exact order as I had placed them, I KNEW without any doubt this was God’s sweet way of saying that HE WAS WITH ME – no coincidence! Hubby was not available, but God was! I jumped up from that stool, happy and confident again, reminded that I’m not handling the challenges alone – PAPA GOD IS WITH ME. Greater is He than anything we will ever face. Amen!
And the great news I have is that He is also available to you! He is a 24/7 God, and I want us rolling with Him in every moment of our lives, holding on to His hands super tight, inviting Him to be our Partner and Guide. The reason why I got so overwhelmed was that I had lost FOCUS. Instead of thinking thoughts of FAITH, HOPE, and CONFIDENCE in God, I was thinking worst-case scenarios, anxious about the future. But that time with God reminded me that He was already in the future waiting to help me out with any problem that could come up like He has done so many times in the past.
I can, therefore, think GREAT thoughts of God and my life with Him. He hasn’t let me down before, and He’s not about to start now. Even the bad stuff that happens, He uses them for my good. Like one year ago, a negative situation led to my brother, Kevin, sending me a voice note saying I should FOCUS on essential areas of my life and not get distracted. One year later, that FOCUS has paid off. It hasn’t been easy, but it has been worth it. I might have fallen a million times in the process, but I’ve risen back up stronger with God. Just like I did yesterday. Pray about anything you need His help with – loneliness, relationships, addictions, depression, anxiety, financial troubles, or anything that’s upsetting you. He’s available. Then listen as He directs you in your spirit as to what He would have you to do. Kk?

I DON’T BELIEVE THIS!!
My husband sent me this WhatsApp message this morning that I didn’t agree with: “For people in business, 2020 is really just a year for staying alive. Don’t even talk about your dreams or plans.” I responded: “We’re rolling with God, boo, and anything is possible with Him!” These are the verses I’m sticking with:
“Trust the LORD with all your heart, and don’t depend on your own understanding. Remember the LORD in all you do, and he will give you success.” – Proverbs 3:5-6
Like my little ten-year-old son, Joshie explained, we have three voices in our head: our voice, God’s voice, and doubt. I want us all tapping into God’s voice because He knows EVERYTHING. He has guidance to help us in every aspect of our lives. I love this post I came across, minutes after sending that text to my husband:
“Many of our thoughts leave out the Holy Spirit and thus limits our success. If you always put God in the equation, everything becomes possible. To walk in the Spirit, you must always be attentive to what He is saying at all times.”
That’s why I’m so excited that my little son is learning God’s voice (The Holy Spirit). Heehaw! Following God’s leading is the way to a highly successful life. I still can’t get over how I was stuck with a big problem on Saturday, and I woke up to one thought from God: ‘Do this! I did exactly that, and ended up resolving the issue with a very knowledgeable gentleman. Thanks, God!
“My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:” – John 10:27
“The LORD says, “I will make you wise and show you where to go. I will guide you and watch over you.” – Psalm 32:8
As you practice listening to God, you begin to know His thoughts versus other thoughts. Like on Saturday, I knew it was a God thought, with His solution magically popping to my mind. He has helped me so often in the past, that I know His thoughts quite well now from my own, and I’ve wisely learned to pay attention.
“If you go he wrong way—to the right or to the left—you will hear a voice behind you saying, “This is the right way. You should go this way.” – Isaiah 30:21
I know it’s a rough time for everyone now, and we need God’s guidance more than ever. Don’t forget your alone times/appointments with Him where we learn to hear His voice even clearer for when we go back out into this hectic, scary and confusing world right now. I constantly give Him my hand to hold, while I blindly follow where He leads.
“But blessed is the one who trusts in the LORD, whose confidence is in him.” – Jeremiah 17:7

A GOD WINK WITH MY MOMMA
I hung out with her for a little bit last night, and God LOVINGLY showed up to reveal His invisible Presence. I had just shared my YouTube video of the day, entitled, ‘God Exceeds My Expectations,’ about how He gives far more than what we can ever expect or imagine. I asked her to pick a number from my book to read to her between 1 to 366. She picked number 300, and it amazingly said this:
“God can do anything, you know-far more than you could ever imagine or guess or request in your wildest dreams!” Wink! Wink!
That’s certainly my testimony! God blows me away with His love. MY ENTIRE LIFE IS A MAGNIFICENT GIFT FROM HIM, including this momma! Her advice and the way she lived have tremendously influenced me.
She dragged us so often to work with her, where she taught us about going the extra mile. We would always hear, “If you’re a street cleaner, be the best street cleaner there is.” And that advice worked!
When it was my time to work, I did the same. I always wanted to impress my supervisors. I worked through lunch breaks, and I stayed late, even going in on weekends. That paid off when my boss came to my desk one day and said he wanted me to attend the same university his son attended in New York. This was after my mom said she couldn’t afford for me to finish college, and I had to get a job.
But here is how God EXCEEDS and gives us far more than we can ask or imagine. I ended up leaving the Bahamas, graduated from that university in New York, and then came back to the Bahamas. I soon after that, though, got married to my husband and ended up working with him as his business’ finance manager. Hubby was the buyer of cars, and I would help customers get loans to pay for them. That education that I got in New York, along with all my previous work experiences, fit in EXTREMELY perfectly with my husband’s already existing business.
A little bit too perfectly, that I KNOW, it was all God HIMSELF aligning everything for us, including our meeting. That’s why I can confidently say, “God’s plans for us are REAL good!” Even my sister in law, being a witness to our lives together, said to me the other day, “You have been my brother’s gift from God.” But her brother has been God’s gift to me. We make a great team! When one is weak, the other is the strong one and vice versa and we’ve been keeping each other up for almost 19 years now. I love our life with our four beautiful, wonderful, and smart kids. If you’re a street cleaner, be the best street cleaner there is – GOD IS OUR BOSS!!!
God, YOU HAVE EXCEEDED MY EXPECTATIONS!!! May we all live full lives honoring You in everything we do. Thank You for being my Guide and Partner. Amen!
