JOHN 10:10 CAME OUT AT BREAKFAST AND THE BIBLE
I was on Breakfast and The Bible this morning — a morning motivation room. And the verse that came out of my mouth was John 10:10.
“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.”
Guys, I didn’t plan that verse. God picked it for me. Because it’s exactly where we are in Rocky Mode.
The thief — that’s life throwing you 10,000 punches. Trying to steal your song. Kill your joy. Destroy your get-back-up.
I told them in the room — I know what unfair feels like. I have taken the punches. But I learned something: Even when people are UNFAIR with you, God is MORE THAN FAIR with you.
God Whisper: “My Girl, they may be unfair with you for a moment, but I will be more than fair with you for a lifetime.”
That’s the MORE THAN FAIR God! The thief gives you less. My God gives you MORE. Overflow. Abundance. Perissos life!
SURROUNDED BY BETTER THAN BEST — THAT’S ABUNDANT LIFE
Saturday, I was just in my office, hugging my sons, telling them they’re better-than-best sons. Loving on Julie and Embe, calling them better-than-best daughters. And I asked my brothers — “What did I do to deserve your kindness? You guys are better-than-best brothers!”
My sister-in-law — better than best sister-in-law! Bringing me so much delicious Nigerian food and loving on us so well.
My hubby — better than best husband! Standing with me in the ring.
God Whisper: “My Girl, I didn’t just give you life. I surrounded you with better-than-best love. Look around — this is what full looks like.”
This is how we live John 10:10! Abundant life isn’t just what God does FOR you; it’s who God puts AROUND you. The thief wants you isolated. God surrounds you with loving people.
I try to ask God in every moment — “Papa, what can I do to enter into this moment to glorify You? What can I do to love these better than best people back the way You love me?”
Whether I eat that Nigerian food, whether I drink, whether I hug my sons and my better than best brothers — I do it all for the glory of God. — 1 Cor 10:31
God Whisper: “That question you asked in the kitchen — ‘what did I do to deserve this kindness?’ — that’s My favorite prayer from you. Because the answer is nothing. You didn’t earn it. I just love you more than fair.”
Joshie’s words are still in my head — “Mommy I’ve never seen you so happy!” That’s Nehemiah 8:10 — The joy of the Lord is my strength. That’s not happy because life is perfect. That’s full life IN the middle of the punches, the storms, and the challenges, surrounded by better-than-best people.
WHAT AM I REALLY TEACHING?
1. THE THIEF vs THE PAPA — LEARN TO TELL THE VOICE
For years I thought every punch was from God. No! Some punches are training from Papa. Some punches are the thief trying to steal my song. The thief says: “Stay down. Be bitter.” Papa says: “My Girl, look UP at Me. I am more than fair. Get back up for Me.”
God Whisper: “Not every hard thing is Me asking you to take it. Sometimes it’s the thief trying to take you out. Learn My voice — Mine gives life, even when it hurts. The thief only takes.”
2. MORE THAN FAIR — ABUNDANT MEANS BETTER THAN BEST
The word for “full” in John 10:10 is PERISSOS — overflowing, super-abundant, way more than you need. That is better than best brothers, better than best sister-in-law, better than best husband, better than best sons. The thief gives you less than fair. God gives you MORE than fair.
God Whisper: “I don’t pay you back even. I pay you back better than best.”
3. FULL LIFE IS A LIFE THAT GLORIFIES GOD IN THE SMALL MOMENTS
Full life isn’t big miracles only. It’s hugging your sons and telling them they’re better than best. It’s thanking your sister-in-law for the food. It’s asking, “What did I do to deserve your kindness?”
God Whisper: “My Girl, full life is not somewhere else. It’s right there in your office hug, in that plate of food, in that ‘thank you.'”
HOW WE LIVE JOHN 10:10 — YOUR DAILY PRACTICE
Morning: “Papa, today I will not listen to the thief who steals, kills, destroys. Today I will listen for Your voice that gives me life to the full.”
During the day: When someone is kind, say out loud “What did I do to deserve your kindness? You are better than best!” When someone is unfair, whisper: “You are unfair, but my God is more than fair.”
Night: Where did the thief try to steal today? Where did Papa give me full life? Who are my better-than-best today? Write it in your Glimmer Note.
5 BIBLE VERSES FOR DAY 4
1. John 10:10 — “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full.” Why: This IS the bloggy! The thief brings punches that steal, but Jesus brings better than best life that is more than fair.
2. Psalm 23:5 — “You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.” Why: Your cup isn’t just full, it OVERFLOWS. That’s your office full of hugs and Nigerian food even while punches are still there.
3. Ephesians 3:20 — “Now to Him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine…” Why: This is the “more than fair” verse! Better than best everything — God did immeasurably MORE than you asked for.
4. 1 Corinthians 10:31 — “So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.” Why: This is what you asked in your office — “What can I do to enter into this moment to glorify You?” Full life is in the small moments.
5. Nehemiah 8:10 — “The joy of the Lord is your strength.” Why: This is why Joshie said “Mommy I’ve never seen you so happy!” Full life isn’t because punches stopped — it’s because God’s joy makes you strong in the ring.

Papa, in the mighty name of Jesus, thank You.
Thank You that the thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy, but YOU came that I may have life, and have it to the FULL. Perissos. Overflowing. Better than best.
Papa, today I repent for listening to the thief. For believing every punch was from You. Forgive me for staying down when You were saying “Get back up, My Girl.” Today I choose Your voice — the voice that gives life, even when it hurts.
Papa, what did I do to deserve Your kindness? Nothing! And yet You are more than fair with me. You surrounded me with better than best brothers, better than best sister-in-law, better than best husband, better than best sons. You prepare a table before me and my cup overflows. Thank You!
Today I declare: I will not live stolen. I will not live killed. I will not live destroyed. I will live FULL. Full of joy. Full of peace. Full of love.
God, what can I do to enter into this moment to glorify You? Whether I eat or drink or whatever I do today — I will do it all for Your glory.
Let the joy of the Lord be my strength today. Let my sons keep seeing a mommy who is so happy, not because life is perfect, but because You are more than fair.
I am Your Girl. You call me by name. I am Yours. (Isaiah 43:1) The water will not drown me, the fire will not burn me, because You are with me. (Isaiah 43:2) And because You are with me, I have life to the full. (John 10:10)
I am the Queen of Get Back Up because You are the King who never left the ring.
