THE WORD THAT STARTED IT
That was the great statement yesterday from someone who left his office that is surrounded by car dealers to come and support us. I stole one thing from him when I visited him recently with my husband: EXALT GOD.

“THE GOD YOU PRAY TO, CONTINUE PRAYING TO HIM. GOD WILL BLESS YOU WHILE YOU ARE SLEEPING! THAT’S THE GOD WE SERVE!”

Clock it.

I don’t chase material wealth. But I won’t pretend we don’t need it to survive.
Here’s the difference: We don’t make money our god. God is our Provider.
With Him, we lack absolutely nothing.

WHISPER FROM SENIOR PARTNER: “If you keep your eyes on Me, I’ll handle the rest while you sleep. Worry sleeps. I don’t.”

THE RIDE TO WORK
This morning in the car, my husband said, “Nikki, you don’t have faith in God.”

I looked at him and said, “Papa Bear, that’s ALL I have right now – MY FAITH IN GOD.”

I’m running on PURE FAITH. Nothing more. Nothing less.
I wouldn’t be sitting in this car with you right now if not for my faith in God.
I’ve given 25 years of my life to you in pure faith and obedience to God.

That’s why I preach it: In this life, everything is between us and God. Not us and anyone else.

When life gets unfair and I go crying to God, He doesn’t coddle me. He says:
“Suck it up, buttercup. When others are unfair with you, remember My ways with you are more than fair. My grace is sufficient for you.”

God’s grace = His love, resources, help, support, protection, kindness, and favor.

And it’s SUFFICIENT. Every. Single. Time.

THE GOD WINK AT THE ALTAR
I don’t joke around with God. Let me tell you how He showed up today.

Yesterday, in a rough moment, I ran to Him. I grabbed Jesus Calling – the one with both morning and evening. The app asked, “Continue where another device left off?” I said yes.

It opened to yesterday’s evening portion.
Numbers 6:25 stared back at me:
“The LORD make His face shine upon you, and be gracious to you.”

WHISPER FROM SENIOR PARTNER: “That’s My face on you, Nik. Not their opinions. Mine.”

Fast forward to prayer altar time with Meta. We ask for a page.
Out of 170 webpages, it picks Page 129.
And there it is again in a post I wrote from 6 years ago:

Just knowing I handle nothing alone brings me peace. During this fasting period with the Muslims, these verses have been showing up if perfectly timed by God:

“‘“The Lord bless you

and keep you;

the Lord make his face shine on you

and be gracious to you;” – Numbers 6:24-25

God reminding me that He blesses and keeps me calms and soothes all the stresses that want to overwhelm me. I grab His hand and hold them super tight as I go through life one moment at a time seeking His help, wisdom, guidance, love, and protection. He continually reminds me, “I am with you always.”.

HEEHAW! No way this lines up as coincidence.

God Himself was saying, “My Nik, I bless and keep you, my boo!”

THE GOD WINK LINK
Here’s the backstory: Yesterday I bragged that my daughter Ember doesn’t play around with her relationship with God.
She was the one who left the devotional on yesterday’s date.
That’s how I ended up reading the exact verse I needed.

I call her my God Wink Link. So many times I feel God’s presence through her.
Follow Ember, y’all. Don’t play around with your relationship with God.

I asked my other daughter Julie how Ember got her new job so fast.
Julie: “Mommy, I don’t know! I think she just submitted her resume.”

I asked Ember. She said, “I got that job because I’m God’s favorite!”

That’s still my favorite argument with her, because when it comes to God, nobody tops me as being His fav. Not even my own daughter

What We Can Learn From Nik’s Testimony + How To Use It Today

1. God Shows Up, Even When It’s Quiet
What happened: Someone random showed up leaving so many others dealers to support Nikki’s business, “God will bless you while you are sleeping.”
What it means: God doesn’t need you awake, working, stressing, or posting to bless you. He can work behind the scenes.
For you: You don’t have to earn God’s help. Go to bed. Trust Him. He’s on the night shift too.
Teen version: God’s like WiFi. Even when you’re not looking at your phone, it’s still working in the background.

2. Money Isn’t The Boss. God Is.
What Nik said: “I don’t make material wealth my focus. THE FOCUS MUST BE ON GOD THE ULTIMATE PROVIDER.”
What it means: Bills are real. We need money to live. But money can’t be your god. God is the one who provides the money, the job, the idea, the connection.
For you: Pray about your needs, but don’t panic about them. Make God first, and let Him handle “the rest.”
Teen version: Don’t worship the allowance. Be grateful to the Parent who gives the allowance.

3. Faith Is All You Need Sometimes
What happened: Hubby said “Nikki, you don’t have faith in God.” Nik answered: “That’s ALL I have right now – MY FAITH IN GOD.”
What it means: When everything else is gone – job, likes, answers, money – faith is what keeps you in the car. Literally.
For you: You can run on pure faith. 25 years, 25 days, or 25 minutes. Faith is enough to keep going.
Teen version: When your phone is at 1%, you still trust it’ll send the text. Same with God. Trust Him at 1%.

4. Your Main Relationship Is With God
What Nik preaches: “Everything is between us and God, not between us and anyone else.”
What it means: People will be unfair. People will talk. People will compare you. But God’s opinion is the only one that’s final.
For you: When you’re hurt, take it to God first. He’ll say “Suck it up, buttercup. My ways are more than fair. My grace is sufficient.”
Teen version: God’s grace = His love + help + protection + backup. And it’s always enough. Like a full battery that never dies.

5. God Sends “God Winks”
What happened:
– Ember left the devotional open to the exact day Nik needed.
– Page 129 out of 170 webpages showed Numbers 6:24-25 again.
– “The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make His face shine on you and be gracious to you.”
What it means: God speaks through small things. A bookmark. A page number. Your sister. Your friend.
For you: Pay attention. If you keep seeing the same Bible verse, song lyric, or word, God might be tapping you on the shoulder.
Teen version: A “God Wink” is like when God double-taps your life to say “I see you.”

6. You’re Not Handling Life Alone
What Nik felt: “Just knowing I handle nothing alone brings me peace.”
What it means: Stress, anxiety, low likes, tough days – you don’t carry it solo. Grab God’s hand. One moment at a time.
For you: Talk to Him like He’s right there. Because He is. “I am with you always.”
Teen version: You’re never in the group chat alone. God’s in it too, and He never leaves on “read.”

7. Be Like Ember: Don’t Play Around With God
What Ember said: “I got that job because I’m God’s favorite!”
What it means: Confidence in God isn’t cocky. It’s knowing whose you are.
For you: Take your relationship with God seriously. Pray. Read. Obey. He moves for people who move with Him.

Teen version: If God’s your plug, act like it. Don’t hide it. Don’t be shy about Him.

3 Simple Things You Can Do TODAY

1.Morning: Before you check likes, say “God, bless me and keep me today. Make Your face shine on me.” That’s Numbers 6:24-25. Takes 5 seconds.
2.When you’re stressed: Say out loud, “God, Your grace is sufficient for me.” Breathe. Then keep going.
3.At night: Before you sleep, “God, bless me while I sleep. I trust You.” Then actually rest.

Bottom Line From Nik:
The God you pray to? Keep praying to Him.
He’s not late. He’s not broke. He’s not confused about you.
With God, you lack absolutely nothing.

PRAYER: “THE GOD YOU PRAY TO, CONTINUE PRAYING TO HIM”

Father,

We come to You just like Nik – running on PURE FAITH. Nothing more. Nothing less.

You are the God we pray to, and today we choose to KEEP praying to You. We won’t make money, likes, or opinions our god. You are our Ultimate Provider. With You, we lack absolutely nothing. Clock it.

Lord, bless us while we sleep. Work while we rest. Move while we can’t see it. Your ways with us are more than fair.

When life feels unfair, remind us: Your grace is sufficient. Your love, resources, help, support, protection, kindness, and favor – it’s all we need for today.

Make Your face shine on us. Be gracious to us. Bless us and keep us. Numbers 6:24-25 over our homes, our kids, our jobs, our cars, our hearts.

Like Ember, help us not play around with our relationship with You. Make us Your favorites because we stay close to You.

We grab Your hand and hold it super tight. We handle nothing alone. You said, “I am with you always” – and we believe You.

In Jesus’ name, Amen.

BIBLE VERSES THAT CAPTURE THIS BLOG

1. GOD IS OUR PROVIDER – Not Money
Matthew 6:33
“But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.”
Why it fits: Put God first. He handles the “things” while you sleep.

2. GOD’S GRACE IS SUFFICIENT
2 Corinthians 12:9
“My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.”
Why it fits: That’s the exact verse Nik heard when life felt unfair. His love, help, protection – it’s enough.

3. THE BLESSING NIK KEPT SEEING
Numbers 6:24-25
“The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make His face shine on you and be gracious to you.”
Why it fits: This was the God wink on the devotional AND on Page 129. It’s God’s signature over you.

4. FAITH THAT MOVES
Hebrews 11:6
“And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for whoever would draw near to God must believe that He exists and that He rewards those who seek Him.”
Why it fits: “That’s ALL I have right now – MY FAITH IN GOD.” Faith is the currency Heaven honors.

5. GOD WORKS WHILE YOU REST
Psalm 127:2
“In vain you rise early and stay up late, toiling for food to eat – for He grants sleep to those He loves.”
Why it fits: “GOD WILL BLESS YOU WHILE YOU ARE SLEEPING! THAT’S THE GOD WE SERVE!”

6. GOD IS WITH YOU ALWAYS
Matthew 28:20
“And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
Why it fits: “I grab His hand and hold it super tight… He continually reminds me, ‘I am with you always.’”

7. DON’T WORRY ABOUT PEOPLE’S OPINION
1 Samuel 16:7
“For the Lord sees not as man sees: man looks on the outward appearance, but the Lord looks on the heart.”

Why it fits: “Stop worrying about what others think about me appearance wise and how many likes I get.” God’s opinion > theirs.
