A WHOLE NEW PERSPECTIVE FOR LIFE

That’s what God gives me! I’m talking in every aspect, He has changed me.

In trying to get our business here on track here in Florida, my hope is in God, baby. That little by little, we’ll do our best in the physical realm, and He’ll do His best for us working in the spiritual realm (Wink! Wink!). Even if we’re at nothing, God can turn our nothing into something. My attitude is, ‘Didn’t God create the entire universe from nothing? Is anything too dificult for Him.’

I feel His Presence strongly in my sprit, giving us His direction in what He would have us to do, solutions to challenges that pop up, and strategies to improve, and even sending people to assist us. I’m also, importantly, learning to be brave. My husband is in Nigeria, and I’m here having to make decisions without him, but I’m continually looking to God. So, knowing I’m not tackling this alone, and that God is standing with me, gives me the strength, courage, patience, and endurance to keep going. Even with our losses and mistakes, God uses them to teach us valuable lessons to move forward better than ever.

In the parenting department, I just spoke to my Emmanuels (hubby and two sons). They’re all hanging together today. Every moment my sons are around their dad, I know they’re learning from him essential values for living their best lives – discipline, a strong work ethic, and our family’s way of conducting business in a way that honors God. Not that we get it right all the time, but that’s our aim, and to treat customers how we would like to be treated. I’m seriously missing them, but I’m entrusting them to God. I’m not there, but He is.

As far as our marriage, God has also changed my perspective. It was a conversation with hubs recently when I said to him that my brother Kevin has been keeping me cool during this quarantine period, and he asked, “Why is it that Kevin has to keep you cool?” I told him that I wasn’t finding it funny knowing he was all the way in Nigeria without me. But, when I thought about it, hubs was right. I shouldn’t need my brother to remind me of how blessed I am to have this amazing husband who has stood with me for the last almost 19 years. He has truly earned my love, trust and respect. We go through our ups and downs, but our commitment to stick it out for better or for worse stands intact more than ever. I show up as the best wife, and I leave the rest with God (Wink! Wink!). Sometimes that may mean pretending to be deaf, dumb and blind because no one is perfect, but yesterday God reminded me: “Love to be blind, since it is I (God) who am leading you if you really want to put your hand in Mine. Don’t you think fathers are happy when their little girls leave everything to them in simple tenderness?” – He and I

“WILL COMPLETELY KNOCK THE WIND OUT OF OUR SAILS”

Those were the words from Devon Franklin that got my attention in a Youtube sermon. He said:

“There will be things that happen to us, traumas and tragedies and challenges, that will stop us in our tracks. That will completely knock the wind out of our sails. It’s going to happen. The rain falls on the just and the unjust. That’s what the word says. The key is not when those moments happen. The key is how do we respond to them. One of the most critical things in life is to keep moving to KEEP GOING. Yes, I’m hurt. I don’t have all the answers, but I’ve decided who I am. So, even in the midst of the hurt, I gotta keep moving in the direction of where I’m being called.

I don’t know who I’m talking to tonight, but God is telling me to tell you, ‘It’s time to move again.” What you went through was real, but even the Israelites had a specific time to mourn the loss of Moses, and then God said, ‘Yo, mourning time is up. You got to get up and go to the Promised Land. I know Moses is not going to make it with you. I know you’re sad about that, but you got to keep moving; you got to KEEP GOING.

I loved this portion of the sermon so much, I did a scrappy screen recording of it and shared it on YouTube yesterday evening, giving it the title, “KEEP GOING” thinking someone else may need to hear that message. Fast forward to this morning, I opened my meditation book, He and I, and look what incredibly showed up from where I had last left off from:

“The keynote, Lord?”

“KEEP GOING (Wink! Wink!). Do good.”

Wow! Another God wink where, out of the blue, everything lines up EXTREMELY too perfectly to be some ordinary coincident. It was God lovingly figuring out a way of letting me know that this was a message from Him to me. I’m telling you; God is in the fires with us. He is in the storms with He. He is in the struggles with us.

What kind of love is this? A love that I want to share with you, so you don’t miss out on an extraordinary life with God. Yes, like Devon said, “The rain falls on the just and the unjust,” but we can be confident that it’s from the hands of a loving God who doesn’t make mistakes.

The thing that knocked the wind out of my sail was one of the best things that could have happened to me. God has given me a new life where I can rest on His heart, while still moving towards His purpose for my life, knowing that His yoke is easy and His burden is light as He walks with me. As I surrender all my worries and concerns over to Him, I can just show up as my best, most loving, happiest, joyful, and peaceful self, knowing He is fighting my battles for me. I do my best with them, and confidently leave the rest with Him. Amen. He said to me through the ‘He and I’ meditation book that it hurts Him when I worry and lack faith in Him. So, whenever I catch myself anxious or stressed, I lovingly smile at Him and say, “God, I’m trusting you with that.”

HOUSTON, WE HAVE A PROBLEM!

Yesterday, I couldn’t open my ‘Nook,’ my electronic book reader app on my phone, where I go mostly to hear from God. I deleted it and reinstalled it, but my library of books refused to download. I kept waiting and waiting, but nothing was happening. Then, I panicked when I had an anxious moment after a troubling phone call, and I didn’t know where I would run to so that I could hear from God. I remembered our family’s website, werollwithgod.com, and I looked around and saw the number 20, and quickly I went there to read this:

“Though there are many ups and downs along the way, the overall gradient is upward. Do not expect easy conditions on such a high reaching adventure, but do expect Me to support you all the way to heaven.” – Jesus Calling

Believe it or not, I took this as my high five from God because the words “UPS AND DOWNS” were the words I had just used in a post that morning:

“This is a business we’ve had for 27 years by God’s grace. We’ve been through our UPS AND DOWNS, but with God, we’re still standing.”

Call me crazy, but that was enough for me to feel God’s Presence with me, for those three words to show up on page 20 with Him reminding me that HE IS MY SUPPORT.

But here’s the sweetness of God. Can you believe He went as far as confirming that this was TRULY a message from Him? I was at work, and I decided to delete and reinstall my Nook app again. This time it worked. The first book and the first page I decided to read, look what astonishingly showed up, from exactly where I had last left off:

“Though there are many ups and downs along the way, the overall gradient is upward. Do not expect easy conditions on such a high reaching adventure, but do expect Me to support you all the way to heaven.” – Jesus Calling

The very passage I felt Him speak to me through in that anxious moment as if saying, ‘Nik, that was a message from Me to you. (Wink! Wink!) I am here to support you.’

This business is really bringing me closer to God, y’all. I’m away from hubby, having to make crucial decisions in running it, learning to be courageous, and bravely handle situations, and God has constantly been showing up for me. Like with a big challenge I’m facing today, I woke up this morning with the perfect solution from Him. I’m like, ‘Thanks, God! I didn’t think of that!’

I had another special evening with God yesterday watching Justin Bieber (my messenger from God). It was also in the Jesus Calling where He said to me, “I am never too busy. I am always available to help you.” Then a few hours later, Justin sings his song, ‘Available’ confirming God’s message:

‘I’m available. Oh, yes I am. I’m available. Yeah, for you I am… Got My arms wide open.’

He is waiting for you with arms wide open. No matter where you are right now, He’s available. Just how that solution popped into my head this morning, He can help you too with whatever situation you’re facing. Just pray and ask for His help. I promise you a fantastic life with Him despite the ups and downs! (SMILE)

“YOU CAN’T SAY THAT WAS NOT A GOD WINK!”

That was me to my nephew, Duro, yesterday. My sister, Marilyn, and I kept missing each other’s phone calls the entire day, and when we finally connected she said, “We’ve been playing BO PEEP,” at the exact moment Duro and I were driving past a store, ‘BO PEEP (Wink! Wink!) & HATTIE’S GROCERY.’ I’m talking extraordinarily timed and orchestrated by God to reveal His invisible Presence with us. Another one of my God winks where, out of the blue, everything lines up a little bit too perfect to be some ordinary and random occurrence. It was God reminding us of His love and deep involvement in every moment of our lives.

Are you feeling His sweet Presence with you? I’m telling you, this is the sweet life with God where I can wake up every day KNOWING He is on my side helping me with all my struggles and challenges. Helping me to fight battles in the spiritual realm while giving me the wisdom and strategies to take care of situations on my end. He is pretty amazing like that! Solutions will magically pop in my head, and I would know right away its from Him because I’m not that smart. LOL!

I feel so confident in God’s direction and His help with me that I sent my hubby a text message that I want to take over an essential aspect: “What I’m doing with this business is not for you and me. It’s for our grandchildren and great-grandchildren who will be eating from there by God’s grace. I feel God’s Presence strongly with us. Let me show you what I can do with God’s help.” Your girl is Godfident – Confident in God!

This is a business we’ve had for 27 years by God’s grace. We’ve been through our ups and downs but with God, we’re still standing. When we’re weak, fall, or make mistakes, He always shows up to help. Even when it feels like we’re back at ground zero, He says, ‘No problem, little by little and one step at a time, we’ll get things back on track.” We do our best and leave the rest for Him. In God we trust.

“Don’t let evil conquer you, but conquer evil by doing good,” is where I want us knowing that God will be our reward when we stay on the high road with Him, doing what He would have us to do. I’m training Duro that in every moment, every example and every experience, that we’re to do the right thing and excellent thing because God is our Boss. I’m so proud to see him up his game in working with us. I’m proud of you, Duro. This business is for you too!!! I told him soon we can open another location for him to run. We’re putting our complete hope in God, KNOWING He doesn’t disappoint when we live lives honoring and pleasing to Him. Amen!
