“NEVER UNDERESTIMATE THE VALUE OF THE PEOPLE YOU SURROUND YOURSELF WITH”
That was me to my siblings in the Bahamas a few minutes ago. My sister formed this WhatsApp group that we call ‘A God Alliance,’ and it truly has been God bringing us together. NO DOUBT! Every day I faithfully post a pic of my completed Nike Running Club run with them. Being the big sister of the group, I thought this was my way of inspiring everyone to be better, NOT KNOWING this was God’s way of HELPING ME. I love you guys!!! Love being the big sister of the group!
Whether I felt like running or not, I did it because, initially, I promised them 30 minutes a day. When the 30 minutes became too challenging to keep up, I still kept running, even if only 5 minutes. I didn’t realize it at the time, but now I can see clearly that this was God making your girl here STRONGER – mentally, physically, emotionally, and spiritually. His love is too much!!! Loving the results of my 50 days of discipline so much, I upped it to an entire year of discipline, constantly working to tackle my weaknesses.
“For the time being, no discipline brings joy, but seems sad and painful; yet to those who have been trained by it, afterward it yields the peaceful fruit of righteousness [right standing with God and a lifestyle and attitude that seeks conformity to God’s will and purpose].” – Hebrews 12:11
Another alliance, my fierce babes (daughters), has inspired and motivated me on another level. They showed up to work on Saturday, all dressed in our company’s shirt, ready to rock. The manager said they didn’t stop working the entire day. They kept calling asking me what I needed help with. A video of them pressure cleaning and scrubbing the outside ground, made the super momma so happy.
They’ve inspired me to up my game! I had my son, Emmie, walk around with my husband for two hours yesterday, and by the time we got in the car, he was exhausted. But this is the way to the best life: hard work and excellence, baby! You do well, and people notice, most importantly, God notices (Wink! Wink!). Like I’ve taught my daughters, no one gives you respect; you earn it. God is our ultimate Boss, and He sees everything we do! So, give Him your all, and I promise you, He will give you more than you can ever imagine or expect from Him.
“So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.” – 1 Corinthians 10:31

“So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.” – 1 Corinthians 10:31
That was my little ten-year-old, spiritual guy, Joshie, calling me to see a pic he took on his phone yesterday. It was a picture of a billboard here in Nigeria with the numbers 11 and 7 together. I’ve written so many times that whenever I see those two numbers together, I say it’s God reminding me that God’s invisible Presence is always there. Joshie explained, “I past this sign every day on my way to school, and I remember that God is with me.” Wow! That made the God maniac momma so happy. My son is feeling God’s Presence with him, too. Sweet!
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding.”
I went on to tell him that this same sign was God speaking to me two Sundays ago. My husband had asked me to accompany him to an art gallery, and even though I wanted to try and get out of going, I felt God saying that He wanted me to go. I get there, and right at the entrance was a duplicate of the exact sign that Joshie showed me on his phone. I smiled with God, immediately knowing that this was where He wanted me that day.
“Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.”
I get inside the gallery and immediately started crying. There is a random painting, a replica (a very close likeness) of my family – husband, wife, two older daughters, and two younger sons. Like what are the chances of this lining up so perfectly? I took it as God HIMSELF arranging it all to say that not only my family is important to Him, but all families are.
I got fussed out by a brother yesterday when I called him to say that our families are our important work from God. That we just have to keep our eyes fixed on Him by going the extra mile in love and support of each other. It’s our crucial work in the world for Him, and He is our reward – His love, favor, wisdom, and guidance.
God’s ways are not our human ways, and there’s a lot that He asks us to do for Him. That we love others the way He loves us. His love is unconditional, and He promises never to leave us or forsake us. No matter how many mistakes I make, I still feel such intense love from Him backing me up. He’s forever saying, ‘Nik, I got you!’ no matter the troublesome situations that come. He has asked me to be even kinder to those who have hurt me, and with such love I receive from Him, I can only reply, ‘God, I GOT YOU!’
Can we all be God’s angels in the world? Using evil and all the depressing news stories as fuel and motivation to put as much good as possible out there, starting in our homes and spreading out! God’s superheroes all the way, baby!
MY ENTIRE LIFE IS BECOMING A BEAUTIFUL CONVERSATION WITH GOD
That’s how I’m feeling, and I want you here with me!!! Like I woke up yesterday thinking about the dinner we had the night before. That morning, I went to the kitchen and suggested to our “Royal Chef,” Victoria, that the fish she seasoned needed more salt. She resisted at first, but I told her, “Trust me on this. I just have a feeling about it.” Then to see my picky eaters (my two sons) and husband devour the fish made the mama/wifey super happy. Even down to what we eat, I feel God is involved!!! Every day I ask hubby what he wants for dinner, and I honestly feel the ideas and inspirations for our family meals come from Him. Victoria has been such an extra blessing the way she happily and lovingly cooks for us, going above and beyond to make sure we have fresh ingredients from the market. It’s incredible the way I’m feeling His involvement in EVERY aspect of our lives! He spoils us (HUGE SMILE)!!!
After thinking about how my life is this beautiful conversation with God, I go and randomly open up my book of 366 old posts. I randomly picked the very one about Former President Barack Obama, saying, “I’m in a constant conversation with God.” And that was just God’s way of letting me know that His invisible and very LOVING Presence is always with me, and He knows every thought I think.
Then, I felt it was God with the idea to pay my sons (by the hour) to study on this website we love, ixl.com (I highly recommend it for all kids!!!). I gave Joshie a topic, ‘Matching Problems with Solutions,’ feeling AGAIN in my spirit that was the topic God would have me to pick. He complained that it was too difficult, but I insisted he complete it (tough mom!). Within a minute of him complaining, I go to WhatsApp, and there was a title of a post I immediately went to that said, “Whatever your problem, God has your solution (Wink! Wink!)” I showed it to my sons, and I said, “See, guys, God is here with us!!! How cool is that?!? That God would figure out a way to let us know His invisible Presence is always with us.” That post went on to say, “Cast your cares to God, HE HAS YOU.” Phew!
Honestly, I saw a new Emmie come out yesterday, so hardworking, focused, and on the ball. Every time he finished a topic, he would proudly come and show me the time before writing it down (integrity, baby!). Such great kids God has blessed me with! So much so that when He asks me to do difficult things for Him, like being kinder to those who have hurt me and to love people for both their strengths and weaknesses, I say, ‘No problem, Boss, I GOT YOU!’ His love is too much!!! Off to enjoy a beautiful Sunday with my Emmanuels (hubby and sons), doing everything all for God’s glory! Go to God in the 1,000 decisions you make every day, having your own conversations with Him. Trust me, this is the way to an extraordinary life (Wink! Wink!)!!!

GIVE YOUR HEART TO GOD (REPOST)
That’s the best advice I can give you! Where you ask Him to be the Guide and Love of your life! That’s where my heart is, and I have absolutely NO REGRETS!!! This song played on my run with Him today:
“If you give your heart to Me
I no go let you go
Wey I no go do you basa basa (I won’t do you wrong)
Baby trust in me
When you give your heart to me
I no go let you go
Wey I no go do you basa basa (I won’t do you wrong)
Baby trust in me” – Skin Tight, Mr Eazi
And don’t think you have to get all cleaned up, either! I cuss, I go crazy, I listen to whatever music I feel like, I procrastinate A LOT, I get angry, and I know I’m still God’s girl, loved and approved by Him. He said to me through one of my meditation books something like, “I love ALL of you, which includes your faults and weaknesses!” In fact, after writing so many times that God stoops to my level to meet with me, this showed up in another alone time with Him:
“You know how much more intensely one loves when one feels loved. It’s like an animated conversation. Only in this one there is no need for any words. We love; that’s all. And I am much yours that you don’t feel that I come down or that you rise up, but it seems quite simple to you that we talk to each other on the same level, share as equals, even exchange our two hearts… and although you give yourself utterly, you keep your personality and only enhance it the more.” He and I
How beautiful is that! We can keep our personalities exactly as they are but God will help us to make them even more beautiful, like today Him asking me to be kinder to those who have hurt me.
Give your heart to Him. He won’t let you go! Let’s offer our entire lives to Him, every action, every word. Will you say this prayer with me: “God, I give my heart to You.”

HEALTH MATTERS
A MAN’S OWN SELF IS HIS FRIEND,
A MAN’S OWN SELF IS HIS FOE.
Which will you be today to yourself? Every decision we make boils down to that – Am I being a friend to myself or a foe? Pushing to myself to exercise when I didn’t feel like it was me being a friend to myself. Drinking my veggie smoothie every day whether I feel like it or not is also being friend to myself. I want us living long, healthy lives. Let’s choose to be best of friends with ourselves!
LET FOOD BE THY MEDICINE AND MEDICINE THY FOOD
GOD DOESN’T KEEP TRACK OF OUR SINS AND MISTAKES; HIS LOVE IS UNCONDITIONAL!
I’ve been beating myself up a lot, feeling like I’m getting the cold shoulder from some people lately, like I’m a terrible person, I don’t blame them. But, this morning, God had a talk to me through my meditation book, Yes, Father, and He beautifully had this to say:
“It may then well happen that on certain days I count twenty lapses (mistakes), while I couldn’t none on other days. And yet I may have made greater progress on the days when twenty failures occurred than on the days without one.”
See how God changes my perspective on everything. Nik, I prefer you to have days where you make many mistakes, and you to learn and grow from them, than for you to have a day where you made no mistakes and no progress.
To be honest, I have learned a lot from these slip-ups. I can definitely be gentler, patient, talk less, not not be so nagging all the time, to appreciate and love the people who love me despite all my weaknesses a little bit more. Also, for me to be more loving, less pointing out of others’ failures and forgiving because we all mess up constantly. So, I should extend forgiveness to others just how I expect them to forgive me. LOTS OF VALUABLE LESSONS! Woohoo!
So that when my team made some errors this week, I said to them today, “I rather you guys learn the lessons and become stronger so that in future we know how to handle ourselves better.” We’re building a tougher team! God even used it to make me a better leader (SMILE) – more appreciative, kinder, gentler, humbler, patient, and forgiving. So, instead of beating myself up about my failures, I can say, ‘Thanks, universe, for the lessons that made me step up my game, happier, more loving, and grateful.
I can’t get over God’s unconditional love for each of us. The meditation book went on to say:
“All experience failure, and are required to right things after each lapse and go forward as if nothing as happened. Lamentations (crying) over these failures would only cost time and energy. These are precious gifts of God which we are not supposed to waste.”
My other mediation book, He and I, said this, written as if God was speaking to us:
“Why do you sometimes think of Me as a severe master waiting for a chance to find fault with you? Wouldn’t you rather see Me a very loving friend ready to make excuses for you if you fall? The friend who keeps watch over you. Don’t you think I’m like that?”
He even went as far as playing the song ‘Beautiful’ by Akon on my computer yesterday in a little heated moment with the boys who were upset at me. I’ve written so many times that when these glitches happen, I know it’s God reminding me of His Presence. In telling Joshie about it, he said, “I wondered why you were playing that video. You never play videos!’ It was all God singing to me. Others may see me a certain way, but He said, through that song, “You’re a symbol of what every beautiful woman should be.” That’s the kind of love I receive from Him! Others may reject us, but the real us, God’s guys and girls, can never be rejected by Him. Let’s keep our eyes fixed on Him and not this world!
