“THIS VOICE IN MY HEAD GUIDED ME TO THE SPOT WHERE I AM TODAY” (REPOST)
That’s from my guy, David Goggins, talking about God. Call us both crazy, but that same voice has led my life on a stunning path. So much so that I even questioned Him yesterday, ‘Why do you care so much about my family and me?’ This was after I KNOW without a doubt that He had me to go to a special bakery on Saturday to receive some important messages on the wall there:
Practice Patience – Peace – Forgiveness – Gratitude – Courage – Hope – Let your smile change the world – Love is an act – Joy – Inspire
He put me there to tell you a story. That I went into that bakery feeling broken down, depressed, disappointed, and hurt, but I came out God’s little superhero with an important message: FIGHT FOR YOUR FAMILY. DON’T GIVE UP.
Our families are extremely significant to God. On Sunday, that Voice (God) said I should run 10 miles. It took me three hours to finish, but I did. I asked Him where I should run, and He led me to a running path close to our home, right next to a church. The name of the church is Calvary, and that again was an important message to me from Him. Calvary was where they crucified Jesus, and that very morning, God had me to reshare an old post where I wrote:
“And let’s not forget the sufferings we have to endure, tolerate, and deal with on a daily (the thorns of our lives). We can joyously offer them to God as our gifts to Him as a sacrifice for all that He does for us. LET’S CONTINUE CARRYING THE CROSS FROM JESUS. God will be our joy and our strength as we seek to be the loving and forgiving people He would have us to be. Our reward is with Him!”
That Calvary church that I ran repeatedly pass in that three-hour run is to tell you guys that we’re to continue carrying Jesus’ cross, especially in our homes. I know it’s hard, but it’s our gift to God who does so much for us. When we are weak, He will be our strength.
Yesterday, it was such an honor and privilege to have our daughter, Ember, work with me. She’s such a faithful soul. We didn’t get home until almost 9 pm, but it was a great day seeing God’s FAVOR in action; He exceeds our expectations. THE LORD IS OUR SHEPHERD!

“DON’T COME TO MY ROOM!!!”
That was me to my 11-year-old son, Joshie, last night. But even after all of my telling him not to, he still showed up in the middle of the night! To be honest, though, I was happy to see my little sweetie. I gave him a pillow and some of my comforter. Can you believe God even found a way to let us know that His Presence was also there with us? This God wink started some days ago, which I wrote about here:
“I immediately felt so much stronger, feeling God’s sweet Presence with me. Later on, that afternoon, having another low moment, He showed up again. I had just helped a customer get insurance on a vehicle she was purchasing from us, and the payment worked out to $311 per month for two cars. Maybe 15 to 20 minutes later, I’m on the phone with my husband, turning into the crazy lady. I looked up exactly from where I was standing talking to him, when God had me to look up at a price per gallon of gasoline directly in front of me saying $3.11. This lined up too perfectly to be some ordinary coincidence. I knew this was God’s way of saying, ‘NIKKI, STOP!!!!’ I instantaneously smiled with God, knowing this was His way of reminding me to be SILENT. The battles belong to Him! Wink! Wink! I caught myself and quickly apologized to hubby for getting crazy on him.”
Then, yesterday, I spoke again about this 311 showing up in a YouTube video. How God used that perfect alignment to help me respond to a situation from His perspective – Nik, SHHHH, leave this battle with me. Like He was winking at me to stay cool. I talked about how these perfect alignments also give me the courage to face my days confidently, knowing God is always with me, and it’s one of the ways I stay close to Him.
So, I know this sounds all crazy. Like can God really talk to me through the number 311 showing up? Fast forward to last night and Joshie coming to snuggle next to his momma after I begged him not to, I checked the time, and it was unbelievably 3:11 (Wink! Wink!).
Then yesterday, having a conversation with our business manager about 911 (his numbers from God) and 711 (my numbers from God) have been showing up all over the place, I called him on the way home to say we’re rebuilding stronger, learning from the mistakes and failures of the past. I said, “With these 911 and 711 showing up for us, I have no doubt it’s God saying He is with us.” Less than 10 seconds after hanging up from him, a police car passes me with “911” printed on the side. I have no doubt that this was again God reminding me that His Presence is with me, and I can trust Him with all my heart no matter the tough challenges I face.
He is with you too. It’s just for you to learn His voice. I highly recommend waking up to appointments with Him every morning asking, ‘God, what do You have to say to me?’ I’m loving Dr. Charles Stanley on YouTube these days for my alone times with God. He speaks directly to me! As you seek God, you will find Him, as His voice will become clearer as you go out into the world. He then helps you to make the wisest decisions to help guide you on the path He has for your life. And let me tell ya, God exceeds my expectations when I follow His leading, and not the crazy lady who constantly wants to show up. (HUGE SMILE)

“GOD IS WITH ME IN THE LOWEST AND HIGHEST POINTS” (REPOST)
Was the caption on yesterday’s pic that I’m so running with! Even this morning, in one of those low moments, He unbelievably found the sweetest way to let me know that His invisible Presence is always with me. Right after my morning run, I sat down to read my meditation book, Jesus Always, and after I’ve repeated so many times how God is trying to teach me this difficult lesson of patience, this message showed up:
“LOVE IS PATIENT. In the apostle Paul’s long list of characteristics of Christian love, the very first one is “patience.” This is the ability to endure adversity calmly-not becoming upset when waiting a long time or dealing with difficult people or problems.”
‘God, here we go again about this patience thing!’ I smiled with Him. I loved it so much, though, I went as far as taking screenshots of the message. The appointment with God did the trick, and I was crucially reminded that He was with me.
Fast forward like 5 minutes after putting down my phone from that appointment, unknowingly, my son grabbed it from when I dropped it, and he started watching a YouTube video. I still had my air pods in my ears from my run, and exactly where Emmie continued watching a video, the YouTube gamer guy incredibly says in this fun voice,
“I’m telling you, it’s all about patience, bro! Be patient!” Wink! Wink!
And that was another one of my God winks when everything lines up a little bit too perfect to be some ordinary coincidence. It was all orchestrated by God Himself to let His girl here know that He is forever with her. Wow! Notice God’s fun and sweet side, ““I’m telling you, it’s all about patience, bro! Be patient!” When patience has been this tough lesson He has been trying to teach me! Of all the millions of YouTube videos, for Emmie to start this one, precisely at that spot for me to hear, was all God.
Does anyone else need that reminder? This crucial virtue of patience is not something we practice much anymore, but as you can see, it’s important to God. To be quite honest, I’m grateful for this lesson of patience. It has guided my life to a very beautiful place. My brother, Kevin, put it like this, “I’ve made a lot of good decisions because I was patient.” I feel the same way!
God’s ways are not our ordinary human ways; they are so much better! With the patience and love He shows us, can we learn to show patience to others, all for His glory? No one walking on this earth is perfect; We all need patience. “I’m telling you, it’s all about patience, bro! Be patient!” Wink! Wink!
“When you and I are patient, we see God at work in our life. When we are patient we don’t jump ahead of God, we do exactly what He says. We begin to see how He works things out and we’ll conclude every time that God’s way is the best way.” — Charles Stanley

“WE CAN REBUILD STRONGER WHEN WE FALL”
That’s my new perspective, baby, after FALLING A LOT RECENTLY. Your girl is back, focused more than ever on being the wife, mother, and person God HIMSELF would have me to be. This is another example of the sweet life with God. That even in our weaknesses, failings, setbacks, and mistakes, we can use them to help us bounce back even better, wiser, stronger, and happier than ever before. Heehaw! God kept saying to me in my low moments through my alone times with Him, ‘Nik, even when you feel good for nothing, give me your nothing. Didn’t I create the world from nothing?’
What kind of love is this? A love that I want you to get to know for yourself. He is with us in our high moments AND our extremely low ones. HE IS WITH US ALWAYS. He honestly makes me feel as if I’m His favorite girl in the entire world with the love and attention I receive from Him.
Like the other day, dropping Julie off at a friend’s house, I decided to stay in the car to have an appointment with God. It was 54 minutes past the hour, so I decided to go to page 54, and God used this old post there to let me know that HE WAS IN THE CAR WITH ME:
“He (God) figured out a way to let me know that His Presence was INDEED with us IN THAT CAR. Fast forward a few hours, I’m in bed trying to sleep. But because my body clock still has not adjusted to the Nigerian time zone, I couldn’t. I then decided to listen to Rich Roll’s podcast, but for some reason it refused to play. I then go to listen to Bel Air’s Church’s, and boom, it surprisingly worked. However, the one that played, I ended up changing to play another episode. Listen to what the Pastor unbelievably says a couple of minutes into that other sermon: “We CAN imagine that God is in the same room OR THE SAME CAR WITH US…” Wink! Wink!
Sitting in that car and reading that was God coming to me in one of my low moments. I immediately felt so much stronger, feeling God’s sweet Presence with me. Wink! Wink! I caught myself and quickly apologized to hubby for getting crazy on him.
Speaking to hubby today, though, I told him I’m going with my brother’s advice: “Neeks, enjoy your gorgeous life. You have a husband who takes great care of you and your children. He respects you. What more can you ask for?” Like Victoria Osteen taught me, I MUST GET GOOD AT COVERING THE OFFENSES OF OTHERS. Ain’t nothing perfect! And with God showing me such love, I have such GREAT FAITH that no matter what happens, God HIMSELF will always be there for me, even when others disappoint me. My security rests in God!
My eyes are now on God and the prize He has in store for my life, even when walking through painful situations. Moment by moment, I ask God to help me to be the wise, strong, calm, loving, steady, loyal, self-controlled wife, mother, and person He would have me to be. I follow His leading, seeking His advice ultimately. God gives us more than we can ask or imagine when we stick with Him! We keep going, guys, all for the glory of God. Love never gives up.
“Let not steadfast love and faithfulness forsake you; bind them around your neck; write them on the tablet of your heart.” – Proverbs 3:3
That was the message from my brother, Kevin, the other day and what I recommend for us all! This life is rough, man, and WE NEED GOD. He said it’s like I’m in a boxing match right now, but just like Mike Tyson, who gets hit in the head 10,000 times, I will get used to the constant blows, becoming tougher, stronger, wiser, and better. Let me tell ya, the troubles, challenges, disappointments, frustrations, hurts, and problems are never ending, but I want us to use them all to bring us closer to God, with our eyes fixed on Him in every moment.
“Neeks, I want you to work on being a wise woman,” is what Kevin also had to say to me last year. For me, that means involving God in every decision I make. ‘God, what would You have me to do here?’ is my constant question to Him. It’s not what the crazy, emotional, and irrational Neeks wants to do, but looking to God, being steady, calm, cool, mature, and focused on what He would have me to do. He always knows best!
I loved a wink from Him yesterday at the tree where I meet Him every day for my morning run. The evening before that, I was out with Julie practicing her driving. She told me about a group her high school friends started to help with beginning college a year earlier. Like a support group. She loved how they were going overboard in helping each other, and she mentioned how she was able to advise them on how to get the textbooks for free. I said to her that I guessed that they didn’t attend the Zoom meeting where they announced that everything would be for free, even down to lab goggles. So, at the tree with God, the song ‘Don’t Rush,’ was playing, and I decided to look for the word “Rush” in an old emailed post. Look what incredibly showed up in the very first email I opened:
“To the point that I was up after midnight CRYING attending a Zoom meeting with my daughter, Julie, for her early admissions to attend college completely for free in the US. They said even if she needed lab goggles, they would be provided free of charge.”
Believe it or not, this was God’s sweet way of reminding me that He is intimately involved in every moment of my life. This lined up extremely too perfectly to be some ordinary coincidence! Of all the emails, for me to open that one because that song playing at that moment, was all orchestrated by God to let me know that His invisible Presence is always with me, including that drive with my daughter, Julie.
And this is what gives me the courage to face my life bravely and joyously, knowing God is always with me. Are you seeking a closer walk with Him? He is the firm foundation we need to build our lives on. When the storms and the rain come (and they will come!), we can hold on to Him to guide us safely through to the other side. GOD IS OUR GREATEST FRIEND!!! But if you don’t develop a relationship with Him, you miss out on His guidance, love, strength, and wisdom for your life.
Every day, I want us all waking up to appointments with Him, asking Him what He has to say to us through alone times with Him. Not one moment spent with Him is wasted. I love our family’s website, werollwithgod.com, where He reminds me of the person He would have me to be: hard, tough, brave, strong, courageous, yet also soft, loving, gentle, faithful, forgiving, and joyful. God knows the utmost best decision for us at every turn. It’s just for us to get to know His personality and His voice through seeking Him. “MAKE GETTING CLOSE TO GOD YOUR PRIORITY!”
