‘I’M SO INTO YOU’

That’s God singing to me today and how He makes me feel – my fairy tale life with God continues, baby! Yes, He sings to me!!! And He sends angels to calm and soothe my mind! Like I wrote like a crazy lady how God speaks to me through our friend, Ceri. I wrote this specifically:

“Ceri also is making me more loving teaching me to love others the way God loves us – unconditionally… A message I listened to last night from Ceri spoke about granting others the same grace and mercy (pardoning without punishment) God grants us when we mess up.”

Well, God found a way to confirm that this was a message from Him! God is pretty talkative once you have ears to hear Him! In posting my post to Tumblr yesterday, I immediately saw a post that got my attention in my feed. I decided to read some more from this person and look at the post that incredibly showed up:

We all need grace, mercy, forgiveness, love…how can I withhold that which I’ve been given so abundantly (by God). I want to love better because I’ve been loved better (by God).

_We love because he (God) first loved us. _

If anyone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen cannot love God whom he has not seen. 1 John 4:19-20” – yieldfruit

I’m talking about the precise message from Ceri that we grant mercy and grace to others because that’s what God does for us (abundantly!!). Yayy! I’m not crazy, y’all! I told Ceri yesterday that God said when I was ready that He would teach me about love. He sent Ceri to help me learn these challenging lessons, and I’m so grateful to him and God for helping me through a difficult patch. It’s been rough, but I believe that I can do all things through He who strengthens me – when I’m weak, God is my strength! Amen! What is too difficult for God? Nothing! It’s just to follow God’s direction moment by moment, even when it’s hard!

No shame, I would stalk Ceri in this ClubHouse app where he speaks, and I would personally record and upload them to our YouTube channel. I’m the God maniac here, but I needed those reminders and lessons from Ceri that have tremendously increased my faith in God and taught me about being the person God Himself would have me to be in the world.

Looking back on everything, I can count everything as rubbish compared to this knowledge of knowing God. Through everything, I’ve come to experience TRUE love from God Himself (don’t need love from no other body!). In my weakest moments, God has been there. His love casts away all my fears and anxieties. It replaces them with peace, joy, courage, enthusiasm, hope, boldness, bravery, and confidence while also making me more loving, patient, and humble.

See how God can even use the worst situations to grow us up? That’s His deep love for us all! He’s not just into me, though. He’s into you, too! I’m just the God nerd who pays attention to report on the fairy tale life I’m experiencing with God. Knowing that through it all – the good, bad and ugly, He stands STRONGLY by our sides. Don’t miss out on all this good love from God Himself! Wink! Wink!

“EVERY MOMENT, WE HAVE GOD’S STRENGTH WITH US!”

That was me to someone a few minutes ago, and the message from all my long posts! OUR GOD IS ALWAYS WITH US, and we can incredibly tap into His strength, love, wisdom, abilities, favor, and guidance on a moment-by-moment basis. In every relationship, every decision, every circumstance, I want us asking, ‘God, how may I enter this moment to glorify you?’ I promise you, this is how He lovingly and intimately guides us on the best pathways for our lives! I love this old post I read in my appointment with Him today:

FEELING HEAVILY SUPPORTED BY GOD

Yeah, baby! The way He constantly shows up for me to let me know He is with me gives me such joy, peace, courage, and strength, KNOWING THERE IS NEVER A MOMENT GOD HIMSELF IS NOT WITH ME. Even this morning, I did not want to get out of bed (rough week!), but He found a way to let me know He was there. I felt Him nudging me to read my book, Keep Calm, You’re Rolling With God, from where I had last left off and this post from eight years ago showed up:

“I feel God is saying something similar to us: STICK WITH ME, and you’ll live the sweetest life, filled with peace, joy, gratitude, and contentment, despite all the challenges you may face.

▪ But, God, I’m tired. STICK WITH ME. Your weakness is a gift, drawing us closer together as you realize I’m your strength. “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness” (2 Corinthians 12:9, NIV). Imagine I am with you and holding your hands every moment.

▪ But, God, some people are talking about me and insulting me. STICK WITH ME. “You will make small account of words which fly. If you do not desire to please others, nor fear to displease them, you will enjoy much peace.” –The Imitation of Christ

▪ But, God, these problems I’m dealing with are too overwhelming! STICK WITH ME, as I direct you one step at a time. I will help you plan your day so that you will do less but accomplish more. Trust Me in every situation, and focus on doing the “intuitively” right and excellent thing in every moment, example and experience. And you will come through each challenge stronger, wiser, more mature, and closer to Me. I will never leave you or forsake you. I am your Teacher, Helper, Supporter, Friend, and Companion.

▪ But, God, this person did me wrong. STICK WITH ME. Stay on the high road, and I will pay you back whatever they took from you and more. “Even your mistakes can be recycled into something good…” — Jesus Calling

Our Father, pardon our sins and may we live our lives completely focused on You. Help us to get back up whenever we fall, dust ourselves off, and keep moving forward with You. Amen.”

I smiled with God, feeling that this was Him speaking to me saying, Nik, STICK WITH ME. Maybe like ten minutes later, I felt a God thought come to mind saying that I should look at the comforter next to me. Can you believe all over this comforter are the words “STICK WITH ME?” See the love I feel from God. On one side of the comforter, there is a huge “STICK WITH ME,” On the other side, there are sixteen smaller “STICK WITH MEs.”

This message is not only for me, though. This message is for you, too. That no matter where you find yourself right now, stick with God. No situation is too big or complicated for us to handle with Him by our side.
It’s just for us to stick with God by being obedient to what He asks of us.

And for us to know what He is asking of us, we must take time to learn His voice. Notice how He led me to read my book with that post about sticking with Him, and minutes later, the thought came to mind to look at the comforter next to me. It was a prayer I said almost 15 years ago asking for a closer walk with Him, and I consistently work on our relationship by seeking Him and having alone times with Him.

I suggest you do the same because this life is too hard to do on our own. We need His guidance, strength, help, love, favor, and support as we aim to be the greatest of all time people in the world on His behalf. We got this, and HE GOT US!!! Let’s keep going, my superheroes, staying on the high road with God as we go the extra mile in excellence, kindness, love, faithfulness, and COURAGE. Our reward is with God as He gives us more than we can ever ask or imagine. (Wink! Wink!)

“WHY IS IT YOU ONLY LISTEN TO CERI’S MESSAGES?”

That was an excellent message from my sister, Kelly! Ceri is a family friend who I low-key stalk in this group he formed to discuss Bible verses and how they relate to our lives today. And let me tell ya, not a moment of listening to him is wasted! Thanks, Ceri! You’ve helped me make some significant decisions that I’m pleased about! (HUGE SMILE)

Ceri gives me direct messages from God as to the decisions God Himself would have me make. I call Ceri my God influencer because he influences my choices as I consider them from the Almighty God perspective. Trust me when I tell you this: GOD’S WAYS ARE NOT OUR ORDINARY HUMAN WAYS; THEY’RE INFINITELY BETTER!!! Wink! Wink!

“I will instruct you (says the Lord) and guide you along the best pathway for your life; I will advise you and watch your progress.” – Psalm 32:8

I feel God in my spirit directing me through Ceri’s messages that resonate strongly with me saying, ‘Nik, this is what I would have you do.’ For example, Ceri repeats the message of learning to be obedient to God. Then, Dr. Charles Stanley (another one of my messenger’s from God) often repeats, “Obey God and leave the consequences to Him!” Guys, obeying God is the most crucial thing! In practice, though, THIS IS EXTREMELY HARD!!! Sometimes the crazy lady wants to come out, and I must keep saying, ‘Nik, obey God!’ I tell the crazy lady to go away. When I do this, things work out even better than I expect them to; God always exceeds my expectations when I follow His leadership. He truly guides me on the best pathway for my life. Not always easy, but always best!

Ceri also is making me a more loving teaching me to love others the way God loves us – unconditionally. I’m learning that love is not a feeling, it’s an ABILITY to go through difficult times and yet stay committed, going the extra mile in love and forgiveness, WIPING THE SLATES COMPLETELY CLEAN, and no looking back on the past. Super tough! A message I listened to last night from Ceri spoke about granting others the same grace and mercy (pardoning without punishment) God grants us when we mess up. When I asked him about praying for our enemies, like, are we really supposed to do that??? He said, yes, but you do it to give yourself peace. He was right!

Ceri has honestly upped my faith in God to a whole new level. His strong belief in God has rubbed off on me that I’m feeling so close to God with a new level of confidence in Him like never before. I know that no matter the trials and troubles that come my way, I have God’s Presence backing me up. That’s the peace, joy, and love you cannot get from this world! This love I’m feeling from God is a sure thing, baby!

The moral of this story is that God has the best pathway for your life! Make sure you are developing a relationship with Him where you are learning His voice through having alone times with Him by listening to anything spiritual that brings you closer to Him (like me stalking Ceri!). Then, be obedient to God, listening to His moment-by-moment guidance for your life. Trust me, His plans for us are real good!!! Wink! Wink!

“EVERY DAY IS A GOOD DAY WITH GOD”

Wow! That statement blew me away from my twelve-year-old spiritual guy, Joshie, yesterday! I asked him what he had learned from our shared appointment with God. He gave the perfect summation! Honestly, that has been my experience with God because He uses it all – the good, bad and ugly – for our good:

“And we know that all that happens to us is working for our good if we love God and are fitting into his plans.” – Romans 8:28

So many times, I go crying to God, and these lyrics from Justin Bieber would show up, or I feel God in my spirit saying:

‘Sometimes I don’t mind you havin’ the worst day…
Let your frustrations out right here
I’m your Psychiatrist, let’s talk about it…
I see the weight weighin’ on your shoulders
It’s so heavy
Let me be the meaning of your composure!’ – Take It Out On Me

I can look back on some of my most awful days and see the hands of God all over them, teaching me some difficult lessons that only these challenging experiences can teach. I feel this is what He is doing with us all:

“God wants to remove the weeds from our hearts like fear, anxiety, bitterness, envy, jealousy, hate, greed, selfishness, temptations, evil thoughts, anger, doing and saying hurtful things, and replace them with faith, mercy, kindness, goodness, peace, humility, gentleness, and patience bearing with and forgiving each other, clothing ourselves ALWAYS in love.

And like my brother, Kevin, reminded me, “If Jesus can ask God to forgive the people who nailed him to the cross, who are we to hold on to unforgiveness towards anyone?” He also said that we’re to put on the full armor of God the moment we step out of bed, KNOWING GOD IS OUR PROTECTION, LIFE PARTNER, AND GUIDE WHO EXCEEDS OUR EXPECTATIONS WHEN WE STICK WITH HIM. Wink! Wink!”

Speaking of Kevin and Joshie, though, I want us to learn from their light, funny, joyful, generous, genuinely loving personalities and not take anything too seriously. Yesterday, Joshie was responsible for cleaning the kitchen, so after helping him a little, I whispered in his ear, “I’m sneaking away to do my work for God!” He whispered in my ear, “I’m sneaking away to go and play games!” “Very funny! You go and wash your dishes!” I responded.

See the happy, playful personality? How do people experience being around you? That’s where I want us all, going to God every moment, asking what He would have us do! And we don’t have to respond to everything. Sometimes, we can remain silent, smile, ignore, and choose our battles wisely. Wink! Wink! YET I WILL REJOICE IN GOD MY SAVOR!

A SIGN FROM GOD

My daughter, Ember, has been giving me a hard time because she wants to transfer from the university she is currently attending in New York to one in Florida. Each time she brings it up, however, I tell her that I’m not getting that feeling from God that she should transfer. She gets agitated at me because I do not see things her way, but I keep saying, “I’m not feeling it, boo. God directed you there, so let’s pray about it and ask God which university He would have you to attend.” Well, yesterday, I felt God saying, ‘Ember, I want you to stay exactly where you are!’

So, this story began years before Ember’s first day in New York, with 117 and 711 being our numbers from God, signifying His Presence with us. We get to the university, and unbelievably, precisely at the entrance, are these two huge signs with 117 on them, the name of the state road where it’s located. Then, out of all the hotels she selected for us to stay at while dropping her off, I did a map a year ago to see how many miles it was from our home, which was exactly 1,107 miles. Again, the 117 showed up! In my mind, I have no doubts whatsoever that this is the university God Himself selected for her. I dropped her off feeling peace, knowing God Himself was there with her!

Fast forward to yesterday, she came to assist me at our office, and within 40 minutes, God figured out so many ways for this 117 to appear. First, we had a customer for us to try and get approved for a vehicle, and they had a repossession reported on 1/17. Then, in a report we needed to produce, Ember said, “Look, his first payment is 1/17.” Next, we ran the information and the first sale at the top, selected by the computer software, was a vehicle we sold for $11,700. Next, as I’m talking to her waiting on another customer, I’m posting my post on Whatsapp, and there is a voice note from someone timed for exactly 1:17. No way that in those few minutes, all those 117 appeared on their own! They were all signs from God saying to my daughter, “EMBER, STAY RIGHT WHERE YOU ARE!!!’

See the close guidance, attention, and love we receive from God! We’re a family rolling with Him, baby! The entire holiday, Ember has been fighting me on this issue, and I’ve had to keep saying, ‘Let’s hear from God! Let’s hear from God!’ and He had everything all perfectly lined up with those customers, the report we needed to complete, and even the WhatsApp note to let us know that He did not want her to transfer.

Up to every thought we think, God is aware of it! Like yesterday, I felt He was saying I should include the words “we should wipe the slates clean” when I wrote of loving others from a pure and clean heart, but I didn’t. At 11:05 this morning, I had some time for an appointment with God, so I went to page 115 of our family’s website, and look what incredibly showed up:

“He takes me through these sad times, though, to grow me up, mature, and teach me (and hopefully you) some crucial lessons. This time I felt He was teaching more about love – His kind of love. Love is not a feeling, it’s an ABILITY to go through difficult times and yet stay committed, going the extra mile in love and forgiveness, WIPING THE SLATES COMPLETELY CLEAN (Wink! Wink!), and no looking back on the past. Got that?”

God is intimately involved in our lives down to every thought we think! Like I’ve been teaching Ember, learn God’s voice and follow where He leads every moment because His ways are always best! MAY 2023 BE OUR YEAR TO GET STRONGER WITH THE LORD! AMEN!

“YOU LOOK SOOO HAPPY. YOU NEED TO STAY THERE.”

That was the comment from my sweetie sister, Kelly, yesterday! The joy of the Lord is my strength, as He finds the sweetest ways to let me know His invisible Presence is always with me. Like this morning, getting dressed to come to work, I felt Him say to me to pay attention to the message written on the outside of my make-up case:

“SHINE BRIGHT LIKE THE STARS”

Fast forward to less than 20 minutes later, I was driving to work and decided to read my meditation book, God’s Promises, and look what incredibly showed up:

“The wise people will shine like the brightness of the sky. Those who teach others to live right WILL SHINE LIKE STARS (Wink! Wink!) forever and ever. – Daniel 12:3

And that was another one of my God winks, with everything lining up again too perfectly to be considered an ordinary coincidence; God Himself revealed another glimmer of His invisible Presence that is always with us. That’s where the true JOY, peace, strength, hope, and courage come from! Knowing that we’re not handling our lives alone; GOD IS ALWAYS WITH US.

Our job is to PAY ATTENTION to His voice, though! Notice how I felt Him say, ‘Nik, read those words on your make-up case.’ Like a strong prompting, a nudge from Him that you learn when you practice listening and being obedient to Him. Then, next in the car on our way, again that prompting said, “Go to the ‘God’s Promises’ meditation book!’ Again, I listened! The feeling was to search for the word “world,” and I was so shocked when the chapter entitled, “Influence Your World’ included that specific verse. God planted it there to reveal His intimate Presence with me. Heehaw!!!

Yesterday He showed up through a beautiful young lady working with us, Ola. Every day she has a word from God for me, and when I asked her to tell me my message from Him yesterday, she pondered and pondered and finally quoted this verse:

“I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh.” – Ezekiel 36:26

I started hugging her and thanking her for this verse because it was God confirming a message He spoke to me just the day before through this old post I had written almost four years ago:

“And all day long, I kept trying not to go down that dark road of negative thinking. But then, a late-night appointment with God encouraged me:

““I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh.” – Ezekiel 36:26

Before You Turn Out the Light

Trust Me to do what you cannot do: remove the little stones that mar the beauty of your heart.” – Jesus Calling

That made me so happy that God was there with me feeling my pain, but I must trust Him to take away those hurts from my heart. I wrote in my notes on my phone: “Don’t let difficulties from the past mar the beauty of your heart.” I went to bed happy.

Fast forward to today, I’m chatting with a customer, and he gives me his card, and unbelievably, printed on the back are these words:

“Then I will give them one heart, and I will put a new spirit within them, and take the stony heart out of their flesh, and give them a heart of flesh.” – Ezekiel 11:19

I started crying KNOWING this was a direct message from God to me confirming His message from the night before.. No coincident! This was His way of letting me know that He’s with me and He doesn’t want me focused on past hurts and disappointments but on HIM. And that He does not want me sad. I asked the customer why did he pick that particular verse for his cards, and he showed me there are different verses, but he always asks God that he should give the right card to the right person. In this case, he got it correct!

See the love and intimate attention I receive from God? For Ola to quote of all verses in the Bible, that specific one was God saying yes, “Trust Me to do what you cannot do: remove the little stones that mar the beauty of your heart.” He then had this verse to show up today:

“…in sincere love of the brethren, love one another fervently with a PURE HEART.”

Ask God to help remove the stones that are marring the beauty of your heart by pardoning anyone you feel has disappointed you and loving them from a pure and clean heart of genuine love and forgiveness the way God loves and forgives us. Let’s all shine bright like the stars on God’s behalf by being His people in the world! Our reward is with Him!!! Amen!

“THANK YOU FOR CHOOSING GOD”

That was me to my husband today after reading an old post where he had thanked me for choosing God. We call him better than best husband and dad because he goes overboard in his responsibilities for his family. I have no doubt it is from the strong Godly values and principles his mom engrained in him. God bless her soul, as she would wake him up at 5 am to listen to a show on the radio called ‘Words of Wisdom.’ Along with his dad’s training and example, we’re blessed to have him. My brother Kevin gave me the perfect advice one day:

“Manny is a good person. Everybody has their little faults. But all in all, he takes care of his family, he respects his wife, and I don’t think you can ask for more than that.”

I wrote yesterday about the customer who wants his son to marry my daughter. He even went as far as putting the son on the phone with me. I told him, “I have one important question for you – How is your relationship with God.” This young man blew me away when he said, “God is my priority! I’m working on an even more intimate relationship with Him.” That was the perfect response! When is the wedding? Just kidding! But that’s my prayer that my children will marry people close to God and make decisions from a God perspective.

Like God does expect us to suffer sometimes, but if we do it for God, He is pleased. He expects us to love others the way He loves us – unconditionally. And that is sometimes hard to do. To leave the past in the past, forgive endlessly and keep moving forward with God’s guidance is a tough challenge, but we love because God first loves us. With our eyes fixed on Him, we can say, ‘God, whatever makes YOU happy, let me do that!’ It’s a practice of learning to forgive, overlook, and keep silent, all for the glory of God. The more we practice, the better we become at it! Let’s begin in our homes and then spread this love to the rest of the world, wherever we go and in whatever we do! God Himself rewards our love and faithfulness. Don’t worry about what anyone else is doing; everything is ultimately between God and us. Don’t render evil with evil; render evil with good.

I loved a God wink when a friend, Godwin, spent the day with us the day before, and I kept saying whenever I saw him, “God wins!!!” Fast forward to yesterday, I’m connecting my computer to my phone’s hotspot, and unbelievably of all the names in the world, the wifi that was available at that moment, can you believe was “Godwin?” This lined up all too perfect to be some coincidence! It was God again strategically placing it there to brighten my day and remind us that His invisible Presence is always with us. We can relax and enjoy our lives as wonderful adventures with Him with the attitude of, ‘If God is for us, who can be against us!’

That’s the sweet, fun, cool, and loving side of God I hope you are discovering for yourself! Choose God by paying attention to Him deep down in your spirit as to what He would have you do (the right and most excellent thing, as best as humanly possible!), and make sure you are having alone times with Him so that you learn His voice and character and the person He would have you to be. THE BEST LIFE IS A LIFE CLOSE TO GOD!!! Wink! Wink!

“THE GOD WHO EXCEEDS OUR EXPECTATIONS”

That was me to a very wise friend a short while ago! I can’t get over a conversation with her when I was trying my best to get hubby to come and visit us in the US instead of the kids and me coming to Nigeria to see him. I was looking for every excuse not to come, but she spoke to me very sternly, “Look, you need to come and see what’s going on with your husband and how everything going with him.” Thanks, sweetie! Then it was the appointment with God where I asked Him what I should do, and I felt Him saying that we should overwhelm the leaders who work hard for us with love, appreciation, and respect. I automatically knew God was speaking about my husband! I told the kids, “We’re going to Nigeria!”

Two and half weeks later, I can honestly tell you, “God has exceeded my expectations!” I see clearly see His hands in the entire planning of this trip. It just blows me away by the intense love and faithfulness God has for our family. I’m like, ‘Wow, God! Wow, God! Wow, God’ That’s why it’s my honor and privilege to tell you guys, “Don’t miss out on a life close to God! His ways are not our ordinary human ways; they are sooooo much better! Make it your priority this year to seek a closer walk with Him.

The God perspective changes everything! And I can’t get over the many ways He finds throughout the day to make me aware of His invisible Presence with me. Like yesterday I had such fun talking with a customer who has been insisting for years now that my daughter, Ember, should marry his son. “Don’t worry, we have money; we will take great care of her,” he said.

So, before leaving, he came to show me his new tag/plate number, which included the number 91. I told him how God had Ember and I land on Psalm 91 one morning, and how she surprised me when I got to work and met it on a board we have at our office. A couple of hours later, after telling him the story, I went to have an appointment with God on our family’s website, and I promise you, I felt God saying to go specifically to page 7, only to read this:

“Under the God tree today (my alone time with God!!!), this verse showed up:

“He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.” – Psalm 91:1

It was a great reminder that I’m resting under God’s protection, help, support, guidance, love, approval, and favor (AMEN!), and I went as far as taking a picture of it. Fast forward to coming to work a few hours later, I look up from my desk, and I see someone wrote “Psalm 91” on a vision board we have here, which wasn’t there yesterday. I screamed in amazement, “Who wrote that there?!?” My daughter Ember said it just came to her, and she decided to write it. Wow! I got goosebumps all over, showing her the picture I took on my phone of this verse from Psalm 91.”

Believe it or not, out of 141 web pages, for God to say to me in my spirit to go to that specific page for an appointment with Him to read that same story I had shared with that customer only like two hours before this was, again, everything lining up too perfectly to be some ordinary coincidence, it was all God orchestrated to remind me and you that His invisible Presence is always with us. Every thought we think, every conversation we have, everywhere we go, His invisible Presence is ALWAYS with us.

And this awareness of His Presence gives me such peace and joy, knowing I don’t handle my life alone. My job is to do exactly what He asks of me at every moment, as best as possible. WHEN YOU ARE OBEDIENT TO GOD, THAT’S WHERE THE BLESSINGS ARE!!! Wink! Wink! I promise you, this is how He will guide your life on the path where you, too, are continually saying, ‘Wow, God! Wow, God! Wow, God!’ (HUGE SMILE!) Do everything for the glory of God as we claim Psalm 91 together:

“He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the LORD, “He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.”

ANYTHING THAT IS A CONCERN TO ME IS A CONCERN TO GOD HIMSELF!!!

That’s my testimony, baby! Like I can’t get over how I wasn’t happy with some furniture we have at our office. I had the girls work with me to see if we could clean them up and make them nicer, but without luck. So in driving back from somewhere on Monday, it just so happened that we had to stop because of traffic directly in front of some people selling sets of brand new furniture like the ones we already have. I found myself staring at them and thinking that this was exactly what we needed to refresh our office for the new year. I thought the bright orange cushions would give the place a cheerful and happy vibe. Can you believe that without any discussions about it, within less than 24 hours, my husband was at the same place looking to buy the exact furniture I so loved the day before?

I promise you, hubby and I had no conversation about replacing that furniture! So how did he end up looking to buy it so quickly without talking to me about it? The answer: GOD! With some profound lessons for us all:

God is intimately involved in every detail of our lives! He knows everything about us, from every thought we think, everything we do, and everywhere we go. He knows all about it!
God is in control of everything and everyone! In our little human minds, we want to figure things out and control people and situations, but God is the ultimate controller of everything and everyone! Like He was saying, ‘Nik, you want that furniture for your office, I got you! He Himself ordered the footsteps of my husband to go to that place!
Give your best for God! I was so in love with the work I saw from a staff yesterday, Shula. Honestly, I see her going the extra mile to be excellent at what she does! She comes in with a joyful spirit and personality, putting her heart into her work. I encouraged her to keep shining bright for the other staff to see! Well done, our Shula! I promise you, we don’t work for anyone; we work for God, and God Himself rewards anything we do.
Like my brother Kevin says, “It is written!” This timing of my husband to strangely not go to work yesterday and to go to this exact spot of where my dream office furniture was located was all orchestrated by God Himself and arranged even before we were even born. We can therefore relax and be on chill about life and its happenings, knowing everything – the good, bad, and ugly are all a part of God’s plan for us. He knows what He is doing with each of us, and He has the perfect plans for our lives when we walk with Him. Our job is learning His voice and following wherever He leads us!
We love because God loves us! Honestly, I wasn’t happy with some brutal comments I heard from hubby that morning, but when he told me he was at that place, God immediately melted away all my bitter feelings to such intense love. I felt God telling me in my spirit to take the insults from hubby and keep silent. Not everything deserves a response, especially to this husband, who has earned my deep love and respect for how he goes overboard for us!

In talking to Kevin later, I told him I said to myself, ‘Nik, have a Coke and a smile, and shut up! Check your emotions and stand strong. Take the negative criticisms from hubs, improve from them what you can, and ignore the rest!’ Kevin is training me to be a wise and strong woman! Wink! Wink!

I went to work super happy, knowing God’s deep love and involvement in my life! I know that God sees my heart, and I need not stress about what anyone else thinks of me. I love my hubs, but God’s opinion is what counts most. I’m learning to live my life with one foot on earth, with all the disappointments, messiness, frustrations, and challenges, and one foot in heaven, seeking to please God, which still means shooting to be the best wife, mother, and person, all for His glory! Amen!
