‘I FEEL GOOD’
Let me tell ya! I’m having the best time listening to Beres Hammond’s song, as if God is singing to me: “I feel good When you’re wrapped up in My arms Dancing to a reggae song Feel good, feel good I feel good cause your perfume isn’t loud That only I can talk about Feel good, feel good” God said I should find new ways of enjoying Him, and I’m doing exactly that imagining that I’m going through my life wrapped up in His arms dancing to a reggae song, with only Him smelling my perfume. (SMILE) Are you with me? We’re rolling with God, and He blesses us and keeps us!I know my quarantine buddy, Verona is with me. We started off the quarantine with our husbands in separate countries crying, sad, and frustrated, but we’re coming out as God’s strong, happy, confident, mature, patient, loyal, and wise women. “The wise woman builds her house, but the foolish pulls it down with her hands.” – Proverbs 14:1 Our attitude is what God has put together, let no man put asunder. We’re putting on our big girl drawers, and we’re doing our thing for our homes, our community, and the world by being the wives, mothers, and people God has called us to be. That means in every moment, every decision, every relationship, we’re going to look at from a God perspective, doing what we feel He would have us to do. If that means pretending to be deaf, dumb, numb, and blind, we’re going to do it all for God’s glory. KK?!? Nobody’s perfect! A marriage is learning to accept each other for both our strengths and weaknesses. We can’t choose. It’s a package deal (sometimes very messy deal! But like Trump said, “It is what it is!”) Verona and I had to learn to surrender our husbands to God. It’s hard enough controlling ourselves, much less grown men. Whatever God decides is best. Bottomline, we trust our husbands, and we trust God. “But what happens when we live God’s way? He brings gifts into our lives, much the same way that fruit appears in an orchard—things like affection for others, exuberance about life, serenity. We develop a willingness to stick with things, a sense of compassion in the heart, and a conviction that a basic holiness permeates things and people. We find ourselves involved in loyal commitments, not needing to force our way in life, able to marshal and direct our energies wisely.” Galatians 5:22-24 Thanks to all my quarantine buddies, my mom, my daughters, Julie and Ember, my sisters, Marilyn and Kelly. Thanks for helping me get through a little rough period of my life. Forever grateful! WEROLLWITHGOD.COM |
BOUNCE BACK!!!
That was the message from Big Sean on my morning run with God AND incredibly from Joel Osteen in a sermon that was at the top of my YouTube feed. So, of course, I took it as a WINK WINK from God that was what He wanted me to talk about today. I’m the queen of falling, lately, so I’m the perfect person to preach this message about bouncing back! No shame in my game, especially after this beautiful message showed up from God:
“Don’t you understand that I prefer someone who has FALLEN many times but who despises himself at My feet, to the self-righteous person who thinks he is without fault. My little girl, tell Me every day how sorry you are for any way you have pained Me. Take a steady look at your failures and stains, and offer them to Me so that I may wash them away. Tell Me how weak you are and how often you fail. Say: “My great friend, help me. You know only too well how helpless I am, but with You I can do anything.’ – He and I
This message was extra special after I felt like I had kept falling! Now I just cry out to God, ‘Help me!’ And with once glance and smile with Him, I catch myself, tell Him about my failure, pick myself back up, dust myself off, make amends if I need to, and I keep going and striving to be the Nik I know God has called me to be. I may fall a million times, but I will pick myself back up a million and one. Didn’t Jesus fall many times to Calvary? I’m therefore in good company!
I love how God changes my perspective on things. Nothing to feel bad about when we fall, we’re human! But with God we can do anything! Including getting up and getting back on track, no matter how many times we’ve failed. And honestly, I see myself getting stronger, wiser, better, more loving, more peaceful, more braver after every fall because I used them to seek God’s face. God, what’s going on here? And with all the love I receive from Him during these times, I rise even higher than ever before. Win! Win!
I loved the Nik who showed up early for a run with her daughter, Ember. Happy, joyful, at peace with strong faith and hope in God. The fasting with the Muslims is working! Most importantly, its bringing me closer to God where I feel so close to Him that He is going through life with me, and I handle nothing alone. Care to join us this last week? I’m going from 10 am to 5 pm, but you can pick the time that’s best and healthiest for you. If you can’t fast, try to make more space for God in your life, seeking Him and Hs wisdom. Cry out to Him, ‘God, help me!’ with anything you’re struggling with!

EVERYONE NEEDS A KEVIN IN THEIR LIFE
My brother, Kevin, that is! He has been like the guard rails sent personally by God to keep me on the right track. Even as a teenager, I remember him asking me what I wanted to be after high school. I told him a flight attendant because I want to travel the world. He said, “There are other ways for you to travel. You can aim higher than that.” At that time, I had such low self-esteem, but hearing those from him lifted me. I ended up going to one of the top universities in New York and working on Wall Street at the headquarters of one of the top banks. Now I’m the proud Vice President of our family business. See the power of our words?
Then, last year, my husband called him with a complaint about me. And when I called Kevin back about it, he said that I should forget what my husband and I were fighting about, and I should focus on bringing my daughters to school in the US from Nigeria. From then on, I didn’t argue with my husband about anything. I was on MISSION BRING DAUGHTERS TO SCHOOL IN THE US. And they haven’t disappointed me, even beginning college-level classes while still in high school. Today I told Ember, buying ice cream for them, “I spoil you guys, but you guys spoil me too. You make mama proud. Thank you.”
Next, it was a time when I was feeling down about something between me and hubs. He said, “Marriage is like a team. When one is weak, the other has to be strong and vice-versa.” I ran with that! Superhero wife in full effect because my husband has definitely been the strong one for our family. I’m super proud of him and where he has guided us. Thanks, boo!
And recently, his advice has brought me such peace. He saids, “Neeks, the best advice I have for you now is to be patient.” Honestly, whenever crazy lady wants to make an appearance, I simply remind myself of what he said, “Be patient.” No one has a perfect life, but patience is seriously working for me. Just needed that reminder from my brother.
Another time, about to travel to Nigeria, he said, “Neeks, go and SHINE BRIGHT. Let them say, “How does this woman stay so strong?” Let me tell ya, I ran with that to the point that it’s now my life MOTTO to SHINE BRIGHT with this GREAT news:
“Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.” – Proverbs 3:5-6

GOD JOINS IN ON A CONVERSATON WITH MY HUSBAND
I LOVE MY GOD WINKS!
They are when, out of the blue, everything lines up strangely too perfectly to be coincident. Like I called my husband around 2:30 am in Nigeria. We ended up talking about an hour and a half, and we ended up talking about LOVE OR LOYALTY, with me asking him which is better. I said I prefer loyalty because someone may love you but starve you in the back. Give me loyalty!
A few hours later, I went on my run and, thinking about the whole conversation, I felt it was something that was orchestrated by God. Like He woke me up, handed me my phone, and said, ‘Nik, here, call your husband.’ I then called my husband back and told him my feelings about the strange call, and that he should pray seriously about what we discussed. I’m even trying to get him to start fasting with me! I ended the conversation saying, ‘This wife LOVES AND IS LOYAL TO YOU. Ride or die chick forever!’
Five minutes later, I rushed up to get dressed for work and wanted to play some music from my speaker in my bathroom, and the very song that was playing on the radio was the song, My Hitta, and it unbelievably said, “I have two words for you: LOVE AND LOYALTY (Wink! Wink!).”
See what I mean about everything lining up too perfectly! For THAT song with THOSE lyrics to just happen to be playing on THAT radio station just minutes after THAT conversation with my husband and our earlier discussion, was no coincident. It was God revealing His invisible Presence and adding His say on the dialogue between hubs and me: ‘I have two words for you: LOVE AND LOYALTY.’ (SMILE)
See the sweetness of God? Who are we that He is so intimately connected with us? And these are the two big lessons He is teaching me during this fasting period. These verses showed up in an appointment with Him yesterday after I felt I was a little bit rude talking to hubby:
“Love endures with patience and serenity, love is kind and thoughtful, and is not jealous or envious; love does not brag and is not proud or arrogant. IT IS NOT RUDE; it is not self-seeking, it is not provoked [nor overly sensitive and easily angered]; it does not take into account a wrong endured. It does not rejoice at injustice, but rejoices with the truth [when right and truth prevail]. Love bears all things [regardless of what comes], believes all things [looking for the best in each one], hopes all things [remaining steadfast during difficult times], endures all things [without weakening]. Love never fails [it never fades nor ends].” 1 Corinthians 13:4-8
I felt lovingly corrected by God, again reminded that I’m going to strive to live my entire life pleasing to Him no matter what anyone else is doing or not doing. LOVING AND LOYAL TO THE END, so help
me God. Amen.

GOD, I’VE FALLEN AGAIN??❤️
GOD GOT US
Feeling overwhelmed?!? That was me a little while ago, let me tell ya. Life can get rough at times, but that’s where my faith in God comes sweetly in. I went to my website, werollwithgod.com, and the first thing there was my video of yesterday entitled, ‘I Gotta Get Stronger with the Lord,’ and honestly just listening to the old Nikki tell her story about her Godwinks that I KNEW were from God Himself saying, ‘Nik, I’m with You, I’m with You, I’m with You!’ No way my very words and feelings were addressed so specifically by Him in those two meditation books. My thoughts were then, ‘Bring it on! I can do anything with God by my side.’ Amen!
This also showed up there:
“Fear is a greater evil than the evil itself. O daughter of little faith, what do you fear? No, fear not; you walk on the sea, amid the winds and waves, but it is with Jesus. What is there to fear? But if fear seizes you, cry loudly, ‘O Lord, save me.’ He will give you His hand: clasp it tight, and go joyously on. To sum up, do not philosophize about your trouble; do not turn in upon yourself; go straight on. No, God cannot lose you, so long as you live in your resolution not to lose Him. Let the world turn upside down, let everything be in darkness, in smoke, in uproar—God is with us. And if God dwelleth in darkness and on Mount Sinai, all smoking and covered with the thunders, with lightnings and noises, shall we not be well near Him?— Letter from St. Francis de Sales to St. Jane de Chantal, 6 August 1606 (via catherineaddington)
That’s exactly what I did by going to my webpage, I cried aloud, ‘Lord, save me from these anxious and overwhelming thoughts!’ And He sweetly came through!
So I want us being the people God would have us to be in every moment. Even at 3 am when I received a call from my husband in Nigeria, with one glance at God, I knew who had to show up for that call – the best, most loving and patient wife.’ Which was the message from my brother, Kevin, the other day when I called him for some advice and he said, “Neeks, you’re going to have to be patient right now.”
And that advice is for all of us. We’re going to have to be patient while we ride out this storm, trusting that GOD GOT US. The goal is to hopefully come out alive and as new people, more loving, brave, courageous, faith-filled and faithful, patient, focused, disciplined, and shining bright people, all for the glory of God.
