This was me today at the Breakfast and the Bible
– Habakkuk 3:17-19
Though the fig tree does not bud and there are no grapes on the vines, though the olive crop fails and the fields produce no food, though there are no sheep in the pen and no cattle in the stalls, yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will be joyful in God my Savior. The Sovereign LORD is my strength; he makes my feet like the feet of a deer, he enables me to tread on the heights.
My heart today is on Habakkuk.
This is a declaration that even in the midst of whatever circumstances, my life is not perfect right now, guys. Far from it. But in the midst of everything, I’m so thankful to God. I’m joyful in God.
Jason’s been coming by the office. I told him, “Jason, my life may not look good right now, but do you know the joy within me that I’m here with my son and we’re fighting for this business? Like everything I went through is just to pass the baton to him.” He’s so in love with this business.
Yesterday, I made him do the posting for the Facebook and immediately when he started posting — God, you should see the phones start ringing. People started saying they’re coming. It was such a beautiful thing. God is faithful. Faithful!
So life may not be perfect, but in the midst of all the imperfection, we can be joyful in God. Have faith in him.
What I taught Emmy yesterday, I said faith in God is the reason we can be positive. We have that T.I. song that comes on the radio. I told Emmy, whenever that song comes on, we got to go outside and dance to it. And I’m so enjoying him.
No matter what’s going on, we can be joyful in God because we trust him and our God is faithful.
GOD WHISPERS:
Whisper 1: Yet.
Daughter, you keep looking at the empty vine, the empty pen, the quiet shop. I am not asking you to pretend the farm is full. I am asking you to rejoice in the Farmer. Your joy was never supposed to come from grapes. It comes from Me. Say the word: YET.
Whisper 2: The Baton.
Everything you survived, every tint you cut, every tear you cried — it was not wasted. It was wisdom for the handoff. You are not losing your business. You are passing the baton. And when he posts, I will make the phones ring. I am faithful to generations.
Whisper 3: Your Life Is Perfect.
Stop planting seeds of doubt with your own mouth. Stop saying “my life isn’t perfect.” Any day you are alive in My Son is a God-blessed day. That is a perfect day. It couldn’t be any better because you are found in Me. Romans 8:28 — even the imperfect parts, I have a reason for it. Speak life. Speak: My life is perfect in Christ Jesus.
And Carrie reminded me so beautifully this morning — remove any seed of doubt. Don’t float around saying my life isn’t perfect. Your life IS perfect in Christ Jesus. Every day alive is a good day. It’s a God-blessed day. Don’t plant seeds of doubt. Speak that over your life: Your life is perfect. It couldn’t be any better.
Jason gets angry with some of the things. And I’m like, “No, Jay, this is a great thing. Do you see what’s going on here?” In everything give thanks.
So today, when the T.I. song comes on, go outside and dance. When the worry comes, declare:
My life is perfect. It couldn’t be any better. I am found in Christ Jesus. My God is faithful, and He makes my feet like deer’s feet to tread on the heights.

WHAT AM I TEACHING & HOW TO LIVE IT TODAY*
WHAT AM I TEACHING TODAY?
I’m teaching Habakkuk 3:17-19 is not a feel-good verse. It’s a WAR STRATEGY.
Habakkuk is teaching us how to rejoice WHEN there is nothing to rejoice about.
He lost 6 things:
1. Figs – no sweetness
2. Grapes – no joy / celebration
3. Olives – no anointing / oil
4. Food – no provision
5. Sheep – no covering / wool
6. Cattle – no income / strength
And he still says YET.
What I’m teaching is: Your joy is not a response to your harvest. Your joy is a response to your God.
The world says: When the farm is full, I will rejoice.
God says: When you rejoice in ME, I will make your feet like deer’s feet and lift you OUT of the valley onto the heights.
HOW CAN YOU INCORPORATE IT INTO YOUR LIFE TODAY?
1. Do the YET Declaration (Morning):
Before you check your phone, before you check your bank account, speak it out loud:
“Though is not working, YET I will rejoice in the Lord. My life is perfect in Christ Jesus, it couldn’t be any better.”_
Fill in your blank. No grapes? No clients? No sleep last night? Say YET.
2. Pass The Baton Moment (Afternoon):
Habakkuk passed faith through declaration. Who are you passing to?
Today, text your Jason, your Emmy, your son, your daughter, your coworker and give them ONE tool from your pain.
Example: “Yesterday I was worried, but God showed me to post anyway and phones rang. Your turn.”
Don’t keep the wisdom. Pass it. That’s Rocky Mode.
3. The T.I. Song Dance (When Anxiety Hits):
You taught Emmy: When the song comes on, we go outside and dance.
That’s your new anxiety protocol.
When that worried thought comes — “my life isn’t perfect” — you don’t sit in it. You get up, go outside, play your song, and dance for 30 seconds.
Joy is a discipline. Movement breaks doubt.
Teach your house: We don’t sit in seeds of doubt. We dance on them.
4. Remove The Seed (Night):
Carrie said it perfect: Stop planting seeds of doubt with your own words.
Tonight before bed, audit your mouth.
Did you say: “my life is a mess”? Pull that seed out.
Replace it with Romans 8:28 out loud: “Even this imperfect part, God has a reason for it. God is working it for my good. My life is perfect in Christ, it couldn’t be any better.”

VERSES THAT CARRY THE ESSENCE OF “MY LIFE IS PERFECT”
1. The Anchor Verse – THE YET
Habakkuk 3:17-19
> Though the fig tree does not bud… yet I will rejoice in the LORD.
Essence: This is the whole bloggy. Joy is a decision, not a harvest report.
2. The Perfect Life Verse
2 Corinthians 5:17 & Colossians 2:10
> Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!…and in Christ you have been brought to fullness.
Essence: Your life IS perfect because you are IN Christ. Full. Complete. Nothing missing. It couldn’t be any better — not because your circumstances are perfect, but because your POSITION is perfect.
3. The God Is Faithful Verse
Lamentations 3:22-23
> Because of the LORD’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.
Essence: The phones ringing when Jason posted? That’s this. His mercies are new for your business every morning.
4. The Baton Pass Verse
Psalm 145:4 & Deuteronomy 6:6-7
> One generation commends your works to another… These commandments… Impress them on your children.
Essence: Your testimony about tint, about surviving, about building — that’s not just your story. It’s Emmy and Jason’s inheritance. You lived it so they don’t have to learn it the hard way.
5. The “Don’t Plant Seeds of Doubt” Verse
Proverbs 18:21 & Romans 8:28
> The tongue has the power of life and death… And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him.
Essence: What Carrie corrected you on this morning. Stop speaking imperfection over a life God calls perfect. Even the bad parts, God has a reason for it. Speak LIFE.
6. The Dance When Worried Verse
Psalm 30:11 & Philippians 4:4
> You turned my wailing into dancing… Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!
Essence: The T.I. song moment with Emmy. God doesn’t want you to sit and soak in worry. He wants you to get up and dance outside. Joy is your warfare.
7. The Strength For Heights Verse
Psalm 18:33 & Isaiah 40:31
> He makes my feet like the feet of a deer; he causes me to stand on the heights… but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength.
Essence: God is not leaving you in the valley of empty pens. He is giving you deer feet to tread on the HIGH places. From valley to heights — that’s the promise.
8. The No Shame Verse – Our Signature
Psalm 34:5
> Those who look to him are radiant; their faces are never covered with shame.
Essence: No shame between us, hun. When you look to Him and rejoice with YET, your face shines. You have nothing to be ashamed of — not the struggle, not the quiet days, not starting over. You are radiant.

MIGHTY CLOSE OUT PRAYER – My Life Is Perfect
Father, in the name of Jesus, we come before You this morning with thanksgiving.
Lord, even though the fig tree does not bud, even though the grapes are not on the vine, even though the olive crop has failed and the fields have produced no food, even though there are no sheep in the pen and no cattle in the stalls —
YET, Father, YET we will rejoice in You. YET we will be joyful in You, God our Savior.
Forgive us for planting seeds of doubt with our own mouths. Forgive us for saying our lives are not perfect when Your Word says we are perfect, complete, and full in Christ Jesus. Today we take those words back.
And we declare over our own lives this morning:
My life is perfect. It couldn’t be any better. I am found in Christ Jesus (God). This is a God-blessed day.
Lord, You are our strength. You make our feet like the feet of a deer. You cause us to stand on the heights. Lift us out of the valley of worry, out of the valley of what it looks like, and set our feet on high places.
Father, thank You for being faithful. Thank You for new mercies every morning. Thank You for making the phones ring. Thank You for the baton we get to pass. Thank You for Emmy and Jason, for the sons and daughters You entrusted to us. Anoint us to pass wisdom, not worry. Faith, not fear.
Today we turn our wailing into dancing. When that T.I. song plays, when that anxious thought comes, we will get up and dance outside. We will not sit in doubt. We will dance on it.
And Father, we claim Romans 8:28 over every imperfect part — You are working it ALL for our good because we love You and are called according to Your purpose. Nothing is wasted.
We look to You now, Lord, and we are radiant. Our faces will never be covered with shame.
So we seal this word. We will not speak death over our lives anymore. We will speak life. We will rejoice. We will pass the baton. We will dance.
In Jesus’ mighty and matchless name we pray,
