Today is day 22 of my rocky mode, guys. I said I got to be all that God has called me to be. Day 22, rocky mode is as if I’m preparing for a big fight.
Of all the songs — 1,400 songs in my God’s Girl playlist — I put it on shuffle today as I was dressing for work. Can you believe God cued that exact song from the Rocky movie — Eye of the Tiger?
Nobody, nobody, nobody could tell me this is a regular coincidence. God himself is my DJ to cue that song.
GOD WHISPER #1: GOD IS MY DJ — OUT OF 1,400!
> Neeks, I see you. I see you out running in the dark. I see you trying to eat healthy. I see you trying to be a better person for Me, my girl. Yeah. Yeah. Yay. What kind of a love is this? Out of 1,400 songs, I cued that one. Just to say — my presence is always, always, always with you. — Zephaniah 3:17 I rejoice over you with singing! Today I sang Eye of the Tiger over you!
And it’s not the first time, you know. I think it was like day two or day three of starting the Rocky Mode. You should see me. I was at a tint shop. And honestly, I was looking out the glass. I see all these places around that I could go and get some food. I said, “Nik, that’s the WAWA station. They have all the good food. Just go see what they have.” I was fasting during the day. So I couldn’t eat anything. But all these thoughts are going in my head. Nikki, what are you even doing this for? Forget about this rocky mode. Live your life. Enjoy your life.
Until the radio played Eye of the Tiger. God had that song cued on the radio. Just saying, “No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no. You’re not going anywhere, Miss Nikki. You stay right here. Cause we’re in the rocky mode.”
GOD WHISPER #2: HE KEPT YOU AT THE TINT SHOP!
> My grace is sufficient, sweetie! Suck it up, buttercup! No one has a perfect life. Boast of your weakness, that’s when My strength shines through! I saw you at the tint shop that day wanting to stop the rocky mode. I cued that song on the radio of all the stations to keep you. I cued that song this morning just to let you know I’m with you. — 2 Corinthians 12:9
GOD WHISPER #3: AND IF THAT’S NOT ENOUGH — 30 PAST THE HOUR, PAGE 30!
And if that’s not enough for you, I get to my office and it’s 30 minutes past the hour and I go to page 30 of our family’s website and look what shows up:
Then in another message through Ceri, once I returned to the US, I felt God saying to go into Rocky mode as if I was preparing for a big fight. I began these 5K runs every day as my time with God to strategize and get clarity on how to tackle my life. Let me tell you, a NEW Nikki returned to Nigeria. That weak, fretful Nik needed to say bye-bye! God has turned all my mourning into joy, and His super strength has emerged! This morning, I was able to lie next to my husband and say, “Hon, don’t worry about anything; our God is with us! Let’s move confidently forward.” What the devil means to harm us, God will use it for our good!
Guys! Page 30 at 30 minutes past the hour! On Day 22 of Rocky Mode! I wrote that months ago after Nigeria!
Nobody could tell me God didn’t author Rocky Mode before I even started it!

If God is precise enough to pick 1 out of 1,400 — He is precise enough to pick you out of 8 billion!
2. GOD IS YOUR KEEPER — HE WILL NOT LET YOU QUIT IN THE TINT SHOP! (2 Cor 12:9 + Psalm 121:3)
Day 2 — tint shop — WAWA calling — flesh saying “Nikki, what are you even doing this for? Live your life!” — that was the enemy trying to abort Rocky Mode in the delivery room!
But God cued Eye of the Tiger on the radio to say: “You stay right here, Miss Nikki! My grace is sufficient!”
Listen to me — WEAKNESS IS NOT YOUR DISQUALIFICATION, IT’S YOUR QUALIFICATION FOR HIS STRENGTH! You wrote it on Page 30: “I can boast of my weaknesses because those are times when God’s strength comes shining through!”
Rocky Mode is not about you being strong — it’s about you staying long enough for HIS super strength to emerge! A NEW Nikki returned from Nigeria because the old fretful Nik finally said bye-bye!
