GOD’S PRESENCE IS ALWAYS WITH US!!!

That’s my testimony, baby! The love I feel from Him with all my God winks that show up all over the place.

Let me show you how God whispers when you are paying attention:

God Wink #1 — Yesterday morning. I saw a text message to my daughter Ember from one of my old videos and the caption on the screen was God speaking these words to me:

“If I am for you, who can be against you.”

God Wink #2 — Yesterday afternoon. A devotional that I love to read said this:

PRESS THROUGH! If God is for us, who can be against us? – Romans 8:31

God Wink #3 — First thing this morning. The very first prayer on my YouTube prayer feed from Prayer Hope Daily said this:

The Apostle Paul understood this truth so deeply that he wrote to the Romans with a confidence that still shakes the powers of darkness whenever it is declared. IF GOD BE FOR US, WHO CAN BE AGAINST US?

Heehaw! No coincidence! For God to take my attention to that text message from Ember from weeks ago, to that devotional, to this morning’s prayer!

God is pretty talkative, guys.

But enough from me. Here is the rest of that prayer that I highly recommend listening to every day:

Notice he did not say no one would come against us. He said it does not matter who comes against us because the one who is for us outweighs and outlasts every enemy that could ever rise. Paul had been beaten, shipwrecked, imprisoned, stoned, and left for dead. And yet he wrote with unshaken assurance that in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. More than conquerors is not a small phrase. It means the fight is not even close. It means the outcome was decided before the battle ever began. It means you do not have to wonder how this chapter of your life ends. Because the God who authored the whole story has already written victory into every page. Even the pages that currently look like defeat.

Think about young David standing in the valley of Ela. A shepherd boy facing a giant who had terrorized the entire army of Israel for 40 days. Saul’s soldiers saw Goliath and measured him against themselves. And every one of them shrank back in fear. But David looked at the same giant through a completely different lens. He did not see a 9-ft warrior with unbeatable strength. He saw an uncircumcised Philistine defying the armies of the living God. And he could not fathom why anyone would let this man mock the name of the Lord unanswered. David told Saul that the same God who delivered him from the paw of the lion and the paw of the bear would deliver him from the hand of the Philistine. And when he stood before Goliath, he said something that every one of us needs to say over our own giants this morning. Thou comest to me with a sword and with a spear and with a shield. But I come to thee in the name of the Lord of hosts, the God of the armies of Israel, whom thou hast defied. The battle is the Lord’s, and he will give you into our hands. David did not carry armor into that fight. He carried a covenant relationship with a covenant-keeping God, and one stone from that relationship was enough to bring down what an entire army had been too terrified to face.

Your giant may not be a 9-ft Philistine, but it may feel just as immovable. It may be a marriage that seems beyond repair. It may be a business on the verge of collapse. It may be an addiction that has gripped a family member for years. It may be grief that refuses to lift. Whatever it is, the same principle applies. The size of the giant is irrelevant when you understand the size of your god. Goliath’s height meant nothing once David understood whose name he was fighting under. Your battle’s difficulty means nothing once you understand whose authority you are standing under. This is not denial of the reality of your circumstances. It is a refusal to let the circumstances have the final word over the promises of God.

There is a reason scripture repeatedly commands God’s people not to fear. Not because fear is simply an unpleasant emotion, but because fear positions us to fight battles in our own strength, and any battle fought in human strength alone is a battle already halfway lost. Deuteronomy 20:4 tells the army of Israel before they went into war. For the Lord your God is he that goeth with you to fight for you against your enemies, to save you. Notice the posture. God goes with them, but he fights for them. There is a difference between fighting alongside someone and fighting on someone’s behalf. When God fights for you, your role changes from warrior to witness. You get to watch him move in ways that defy explanation, that silence critics, that turn mourning into dancing, and that leave even your enemies acknowledging that only God could have done what was done.

STEP 2 — WHAT THIS IS TEACHING YOU — AND HOW TO LIVE IT TODAY

Title: You Are Not Fighting FOR Victory, You Are Fighting FROM Victory

WHAT I’M TEACHING:

Paul said we are MORE than conquerors. Not just conquerors — MORE than. Conqueror means you won the battle. MORE than conqueror means the battle was decided before you even showed up.

David didn’t win because he was stronger than Goliath. He won because he was in COVENANT and Goliath wasn’t. One stone from a covenant-keeping God was enough to do what a whole army couldn’t do.

Your people are measuring their giants against themselves — like Saul’s army. That’s why they are scared to marry, scared to stay married, scared to trust. Covenant flips the measurement. You don’t measure the giant against you. You measure the giant against YOUR GOD.

HOW THEY INCORPORATE IT INTO THEIR LIVES TODAY:

1. Name Your Giant Out Loud (Stop Denying It)
– Write it: What is your 9-ft Philistine right now? Marriage on the rocks? Business? Child? Grief? Addiction?
– Say: “This is real, but it doesn’t get the final word.”

2. Switch Your Lens (From Contract to Covenant)
– Contract lens asks: “Can I win this by myself?”
– Covenant lens asks: “Who am I fighting with?”
– Action today: Say Romans 8:31 over your giant 3 times this morning. Not whisper — declare: “If God be FOR me, who can be against me?”

3. Carry Covenant, Not Armor (Your Daily Practice)
David didn’t carry Saul’s armor. He carried relationship.
– Morning: 2 minutes — “God, go WITH me today and fight FOR me.” Deuteronomy 20:4 — That’s your Step 2 prayer.
– Midday: When fear pops up, you don’t fight in your own strength. You say: “I am switching from warrior to witness. God, show me how you fight for me.”
– Night: Ask: Where did I see God fight for me today? That’s your God Wink journal.

4. Move From Blame Mode to Repair Mode
You taught this before, and it fits here perfectly.
– Saul’s army blamed David for being too small. David repaired the honor of God.
– In your home today: Don’t say “You always…” Say “How can I support you to keep our legacy going? I’m at your service.”

YOUR CHALLENGE FOR TODAY (Green Words Action):

1.	Identify ONE giant.

2.	Declare over it: “Thou comest to me with sword and spear, but I come to thee in the name of the Lord.”

3.	Do ONE repair — text, apology, prayer for your spouse/family that says “We have work to do. Together.”

Because covenant people don’t stay in failure. We repent, we repair, we go forward — MORE than conquerors.

STEP 3 — VERSES THAT CAPTURE THE ESSENCE OF THIS BLOG

1. Romans 8:31 — The God Wink Verse
> “What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?”

Why this one: This is the text to Ember, the devotional, the prayer this morning. God repeated it 3 times because He wants you SEALED in it. This is your banner verse for covenant.

2. Romans 8:37 — The More Than Conquerors Verse
> “Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us.”

Why this one: Paul was beaten, shipwrecked, imprisoned, stoned — and STILL said we win. Not barely, not by a thread — MORE than. Victory was written before the battle.

3. 1 Samuel 17:47 — The Covenant Battle Verse
> “For the battle is the Lord’s, and he will give you into our hands.”

Why this one: This is David’s revelation. Your giant may not be a 9-ft Philistine — it may be a marriage, a business, an addiction, grief. But the principle never changes. You carry covenant, not armor.

4. Deuteronomy 20:4 — The Warrior to Witness Verse
> “For the Lord your God is he that goeth with you, to fight for you against your enemies, to save you.”

Why this one: God GOES with you, but He FIGHTS for you. That’s the difference between fighting alongside someone and fighting on someone’s behalf. Your job shifts from warrior to witness.

5. Deuteronomy 31:6 — The Never Leaves You Verse
> “Be strong and of a good courage, fear not, nor be afraid of them: for the Lord thy God, he it is that doth go with thee; he will not fail thee, nor forsake thee.”

Why this one: This is your testimony, baby. Those God Winks everywhere? That’s Him proving He never left. 4:37am, lake, kitchen — always with us.

6. Isaiah 41:10 — The Fear to Faith Verse
> “Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.”

Why this one: Fear makes you fight in your own strength — and that’s a battle halfway lost. Faith reminds you whose hand is actually holding you.

How to use them today:

Pick ONE to memorize this week. Write it on your mirror. Text it to your people like you texted Ember. Let God be talkative through YOU.

My pick for you today: Romans 8:31. Because God already winked it to you three times.

MIGHTY CLOSE-OUT PRAYER

Father, in the name of Jesus,

We come to You this morning not as people fighting FOR victory, but as people fighting FROM victory. Thank You that Your presence is ALWAYS with us — at 4:37am when we cry, when You say “we have work to do,” by the still water, in the kitchen, in the battle.

Today we declare Romans 8:31 over our lives, our marriages, our children, our businesses, our Black families:

IF GOD BE FOR US, WHO CAN BE AGAINST US?

Lord, we name our giants right now — the marriage that feels beyond repair, the business on the verge of collapse, the addiction that has gripped our family for years, the grief that refuses to lift. We refuse to let our circumstances have the final word over Your promises.

Like David, we don’t come to our giants with sword and spear. We come in the name of the Lord of hosts. We carry covenant, not armor. And we declare: THE BATTLE IS THE LORD’S.

Father, forgive us for fighting in our own strength. Forgive us for measuring our giants against ourselves instead of measuring them against You. Today we shift — from warrior to witness. Go with us, and fight FOR us, just as You promised in Deuteronomy 20:4.

Heal our covenant. Heal our homes. Teach us to be keepers of walled cities again. Let our daughters text us “we have work to do” because they caught what we lived. Let our sons know how to cover a home. Let our legacy make great impact on behalf of You.

So we will not fear. You will not fail us. You will not forsake us. You will strengthen us, help us, and uphold us with Your righteous right hand.

We seal this Word today. Let every God Wink, every whisper, every text be a reminder that You are talkative, You are near, and You are FOR us.
