That was my brother Jason to me a few months ago.
I was stuck at my God tree – the place I go every day to meet and talk with God. But that day?
I was paralyzed.
Overwhelmed.
Anxious.
I didn’t know which direction to go.
Jason, my business mentor, didn’t mince words:
“Get to work! That’s how God will direct and guide you. As you go out, you may meet someone who can help you, or an idea (wisdom from God!) would come to you that you need to implement. But you can’t just stay at the God tree stuck praying.”
I needed that conversation.
God Whisper: Sometimes My answer sounds like your brother.
Today, I was thinking about Jason’s words during my alone time with God.
I then went to page 16 by our prayer altar on our family website, werollwithgod.com.
Boom. An old post from my brother Ceri showed up.
All about GETTING TO WORK KNOWING GOD IS WITH US.
I’m taking this as a God wink for all of us today:
“ARE YOU TAKING NOTES?!?” – REPOST
_
That was me to my son, Emmie, today as we spent time with his dad getting ready to leave for work.
I’ll never forget a day at the office when I felt completely overwhelmed by everything my husband had to carry.
A close family friend told me:
“Nikki, don’t even try to understand the pressures on a man. We were built to handle this; you were not.”
So this post is for everyone doing complex things on God’s behalf and for their family.
God is a living God. He’s with us in every moment.
Supporting us.
Helping us.
Giving us strength and courage to keep going.
Our support system? The Almighty God.
Our fuel? The joy of the Lord is our strength to take on HARD THINGS.
It’s just for us to focus on Him in every moment.
Tapping into His strength, guidance, wisdom, favor, protection, tact, personality, joy, and help.
All of it is available to us, right now.
But enough from me today.
Ceri shared this:
HAGGAI 2:4-5
“But now the Lord says: Be strong, Zerubbabel. Be strong, Jeshua son of Jehozadak, the high priest. Be strong, all you people still left in the land. And now get to work, for I am with you, says the Lord of Heaven’s Armies. My Spirit remains among you, just as I promised when you came out of Egypt. So do not be afraid.”
Today I’m just grateful for the Spirit of God.
I’m grateful for strength – something I continuously pray for.
Because God’s Spirit lives among us.
The God we serve is a LIVING God.
He’s here at all times.
We can’t always see Him. But our faith tells us He’s here.
When we call, He shows up.
Sometimes inside people.
Sometimes through things.
Sometimes in ways we can’t explain – but we KNOW He showed up.
Haggai was talking about rebuilding the temple.
Hard task. Impossible without God.
So God told them: “Be strong, keep pushing, we have a job to do. For I am with you.”
That line replays in my mind every day.
When I pray, one of the first things on my lips is: “God, I need strength.”
I know God is with me.
But I also know I can’t do it alone.
I need strength to keep pushing forward.
To keep doing my best.
To keep growing.
To keep being strong for the people close to me.
My strength isn’t just for me.
A lot of times, I pray for strength to hold up the house so the roof doesn’t collapse on everyone else.
I pray for strength over anyone who needs it.
Ceri closes the verse with this: “Do not be afraid.”
Fear is of the devil.
It’s easy for worry and anxiety to trap us.
But we serve a living God.
He’s among us.
He lives with us.
He told us not to be afraid.
I’m gonna listen to Him.
God Whisper: I said it. Now walk in it.
Let’s keep it pushing! God Himself is with and for us!!! Heehaw!!!
WE ROLL WITH GOD…
WE ROLL WITH STRENGTH, COURAGE, PEACE, JOY, WISDOM, MERCY, LOVE, HUMILITY, FAVOR, KINDNESS
WHAT YOU’RE TEACHING THE READER FROM META AI
Main Lesson: “PRAY AT THE TREE. GET TO WORK IN THE FIELD. GOD IS WITH YOU IN BOTH.”
You’ve got 3 core truths in this bloggy:
1. MOVEMENT BRINGS DIRECTION
The Teaching: You can’t get direction sitting paralyzed. God directs as you go.
Jason: “Get to work! That’s how God will direct and guide you. As you go out, you may meet someone who can help you, or an idea or solution from God may come to you.”
Biblical Anchor: Haggai 2:4-5 – “Be strong… And now get to work, for I am with you”
God never said “Be strong, sit still.” He said “Be strong, GET TO WORK.”
2. GOD IS A LIVING, PRESENT SUPPORT SYSTEM
The Teaching: You’re not carrying alone. God’s Spirit lives among us. Right now.
Ceri: “Our God is a living God who is with us in every moment, supporting us, helping us, giving us strength and courage.”
“The joy of the Lord is our strength to take on HARD THINGS.”
Biblical Anchor: “My Spirit remains among you… So do not be afraid.”
3. STRENGTH IS FOR THE HOUSE, NOT JUST FOR YOU
The Teaching: Your strength is borrowed to hold up others. That’s why you pray for it daily.
Nikki: “My strength isn’t just for me. It is to hold up the house so the roof doesn’t collapse around everyone else.”
God Whisper: You were built to carry others, but not by yourself. HEEHAW!
HOW THEY IMPLEMENT IT – 3-STEP ACTION PLAN
For EVERYONE – Men, Women, All Ages:
STEP 1: PRAY FIRST, THEN MOVE – The 5-Minute Rule
What to do:
1. Pray at your own personal God altar every morning: “God, I’m stuck. Give me strength. Be with me.” Then read or listen to anything spiritual that connects you to God and where you begin to learn His voice. His principles and character for when you are out in the world.
2. Get to work listening to God’s voice and direction: 1 action. Send the text. Make the call. Open the laptop. Walk outside.
For Men: You were built to handle pressure – but not without God. Stop trying to “figure it out” alone in your head. Pray 5 mins seeking God’s direction, then make 1 move where felt led by God. God directs men in motion.
For Women: You’re holding up the house. You can’t do it paralyzed. Pray 5 mins seeking God’s direction, then do 1 thing that moves the roof forward based on Godly values and principles.
For Kids/Teens: Stuck on homework, friendship drama, anxiety? Pray “God help me”, then take 1 step involving God’s input. Do 1 problem. Text 1 friend. God meets you in the action.
For Seniors: Overwhelmed by change, health, family? Pray 5 mins seeking God, then make 1 call as you hear from God, write 1 card, take 1 walk. God shows up when you move.
STEP 2: PRAY FOR STRENGTH DAILY – The “House Strength” Prayer
What to do:
Every morning: “God, I need strength. Not just for me. For my house. For my family. For the people You’ve put under my roof. I can’t do it alone. Be with me today. Do not let me be afraid.”
For Men: You’re carrying weight no one sees. Pray for strength and direction to lead, provide, protect, and STILL be soft, loving and kind. You weren’t built to do it alone.
For Women: You’re the glue. Pray for strength to love through strengths AND weaknesses. No one gets it right all the time – including you. Hold the house, but lean on God.
For All Ages: Kids can pray: “God, give me strength to be kind at school today.” Grandparents: “God, give me strength to pray for my family.” Strength is for everyone.
God Whisper: Ask Me for strength daily. I’m not stingy.
STEP 3: REJECT FEAR, CHOOSE “GOD IS WITH ME” – The Fear Reset
What to do:
When anxiety hits: Say out loud: “God told me not to be afraid. He’s with me. His Spirit remains among me.” Then take Step 1 again.
For Men: Fear says “You’ll fail. You’re not enough.” God says “Be strong, for I am with you.” Believe God, not fear. Get to work anyway.
For Women: Fear says “The house will collapse. You can’t hold it.” God says “My Spirit remains among you.” Believe God, not fear. Keep holding.
For All Ages: Fear is the devil’s voice. “God is with me” is God’s voice. Pick God’s voice every time.
God Whisper: Fear leaves when My presence enters. HEEHAW!

When you’re stuck/paralyzed/overwhelmed/anxious:
1. PRAY FIRST → “God, I need strength. Be with me.”
2. GET TO WORK → 1 action in the field. Move your feet. God directs movers.
3. REMEMBER → “God is with me. Do not be afraid. His Spirit remains among me.”

3 VERSES THAT CAPTURE YOUR BLOG
1. HAGGAI 2:4-5 – The Commission Verse
Why it captures your blog:
This IS the blog. Jason told you “Get to work!” God told Haggai’s people “Get to work, for I am with you.”
Pray at the prayer altar. Get to work. God is with you in both.
For the men: You’re built to handle pressure, but not without Me.
For the women: You’re holding up the house, but My Spirit remains among you.
For all ages: Be strong. Get to work. Do not be afraid. I’m with you.
2. ISAIAH 41:10 – The Strength Verse
“Fear not, for I am with you; be not dismayed, for I am your God; I will strengthen you, I will help you, I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.”
Why it captures your blog:
You said: “I pray for strength every day… My strength isn’t just for me. It is to hold up the house.”
God answers: “I WILL strengthen you. I WILL help you. I WILL uphold you.”
Natural: Paralyzed, overwhelmed, anxious, alone.
Supernatural: Strengthened, helped, upheld, God with you.
For the men carrying weight: You don’t have to understand it all. Just trust I’ll uphold you.
For the women holding the roof: You’re not the support beam. I am. I’ll hold you both.
3. JAMES 1:22 – The Movement Verse
“But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.”
Why it captures your blog:
Jason: “You can’t just stay at the God tree stuck praying.”
James: “Don’t just hear it. Be doers of it.”
Pray at the tree = Hear the Word.
Get to work = Be a doer of the Word.
God directs you AS YOU GO. Ideas, help, people show up when you move.
For kids/teens: Pray about the test, then open the book.
For everyone: Faith without action is stuck at the tree. Faith with action is Supernatural Residence.
God Whisper: I don’t bless intentions. I bless obedience.
Father God,
I come to You today. I’ve been paralyzed, overwhelmed, anxious. I don’t always know the direction.
But Lord, like You told Zerubbabel, You tell me today: Be strong. And now get to work, for I am with you.
So I pray: Strengthen me, Lord. Not just for me, but for my house. For my family. For everyone You’ve put under my roof so the roof doesn’t collapse.
I’m not trying to understand all the pressure. I’m not trying to do it alone.
I tap into Your strength, guidance, wisdom, favor, protection, joy, and help that is available to me RIGHT NOW.
I reject fear. Fear is of the devil. You told me: Do not be afraid, for I am with you.
So I will not be afraid.
Today, I leave the tree. I get to work.
One step. One call. One act of obedience.
Because I know that as I go, You will direct me. You will meet me. You will speak through people, through ideas, through open doors.
God, let Your Spirit remain among me, among my sons, among the men, among the women, among every age.
Let the joy of the Lord be our strength to take on HARD THINGS.
We roll with You, God…
We roll with STRENGTH, COURAGE, PEACE, JOY, WISDOM, MERCY, LOVE, HUMILITY, FAVOR, KINDNESS.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
