WHAT’S MY MESSAGE FROM GOD FOR TODAY?

I’ve been thinking all morning about Proverbs 3:5-6. They’re the foundation of my life now. And that’s exactly what showed up on page 23 at the end of this post. I’m taking it as a message from God to all of us today.
The Word God Gave Me: “EVOLVE”
I asked someone I hear God through. His one-word answer? “EVOLVE.”
That’s God talking.
I’m in Nigeria. I packed two hair brushes in the US, left both behind. Can you believe it? The only brush we have here has one word printed on it. And God keeps nudging my spirit: “Pay attention, Nik. EVOLVE.”
God’s pretty talkative. And today, His message to us all is: “EVOLVE.”
God’s Using Mo to Help Me Evolve
Mo is my daughter Ember’s young, wise friend.
Ember asked him about being Muslim and multiple wives. He said, “That’s all men. It’s just my religion allows for it.”
Honestly, this same post has been chasing me. It showed up during an appointment with God on our way somewhere with my husband – on our family website. Then it showed up again on the way back when my e-reader opened all by itself to this exact post in my book:
“Playing life at a higher level means answering this: ‘Who am I in the deepest sense?’
We’re loyal to conditioned thoughts passed down for generations. Thoughts we’ve fought over, killed over, gotten angry, sad, depressed over. Me included! I get sad and depressed over the same crazy thoughts over and over. I’ve had enough!
I’m going to the next level. My goals now: bring humanity closer to God, raise my kids to be the superhumans they’re called to be, help my husband take our businesses higher, and become the most awesome version of me.”
I laugh reading my old posts. Five years ago I published that book. ! All that time and energy wasted on thoughts that drag me down. (UPDATE: 9 YEARS AGO I PUBLISHED THAT BOOK AND I’M STILL LETTING THE SILLY THOUGHTS KNOCK ME DOWN)
But God’s calling us higher. He’s asking all of us: “Who are we in the deepest sense?”
How We Play Life Higher
I want us to be God’s people. Making tough decisions from His Almighty, wise perspective.
GOD ALWAYS KNOWS BEST!!!
That means sometimes we act like we don’t see what we see, or hear what we hear. We stay focused on the good of others. Eyes fixed on God. Asking Him moment-by-moment: “What would You have me do?”
My Decision Filter Changed
My decisions don’t start with “What makes me happy?” anymore.
Sometimes my happiness takes a backseat so I can ask: “What’s best for my family – our team? What would make God happy here?”
It’s not easy. It takes superhuman strength – especially when crazy lady wants to show up!
But this is how God leads us on the best pathways. And trust me – God gives far more than we can ever ask or imagine when we obey Him and leave the consequences with Him!

Mo Taught Me About Faith + Positive Thinking
Mo and I talked about attitude.
If I’m honest, doubts, insecurities, anxiety, negative thinking knock me down constantly.
Mo said: “You must keep replacing negative thoughts with positive ones.”
But I asked him: “Where does God fit in?”
He got wise on me: “FAITH IN GOD is why we can think positively. He’s with us. Supporting us. Helping us fight our battles. We have to let go and let God control what we can’t.”
I couldn’t believe it. This young man was teaching me – the God maniac – to think more positively and have more faith in God. Incredible!
My Prayer For Us All
Let’s evolve into the superhumans God called us to be – at home and in the world.
By having MORE faith.
By thinking positively.
By knowing God Himself is with us every moment, helping, guiding, supporting us.
By believing the thoughts He wants us to think.
By obeying what He tells us to do.
By leaving the consequences to Him.
So help us, God!

EVOLVE showed up in 3 places: from a friend, on a hairbrush in Nigeria, and in a book that opened itself.
Wisdom for you: When God keeps tapping you on the shoulder with the same word, stop scrolling. That’s not coincidence. That’s direction.
Practice it today: What word, verse, or idea keeps showing up in your life this week? Write it down. That’s your assignment.
- “Who am I in the deepest sense?” – Ask the Right Question
You said it: we’ve been loyal to old, conditioned thoughts. Thoughts that made us angry, sad, depressed. Thoughts we fought and killed peace over.
Wisdom for you: Evolution starts when you stop defending old thinking and start asking better questions. You’re not your past reactions. You’re who God says you are right now.
Practice it today: Catch 1 thought today that’s been running your life for years. Ask: “Is this God’s thought, or is this just familiar?” If it’s not from Him, replace it.
- Change Your Decision Filter
Old filter: “What makes me happy?”
New filter: “What’s best for my family/team, and what makes God happy?”
Wisdom for you: Your happiness is important, but it’s not the boss. Peace comes when God’s happiness leads the decision. That’s superhuman strength – especially when crazy lady wants to come out.
Practice it today: Before your next big or small decision, pause 10 seconds and ask: “God, what would You do here?” Then do that.
- Faith = The Reason We Can Think Positive
Mo flipped it on you. You thought positive thinking was psychology. He said: “FAITH IN GOD is why we can think positively. He’s with us in the fight.”
Wisdom for you: You’re not just “manifesting.” You’re not just “being optimistic.” You’re standing on Proverbs 3:5-6: Trust Him, don’t lean on your own understanding, submit – and He makes the path straight.
Practice it today: When doubt, insecurity, or anxiety hits, do a 3-step swap:
- Name it: “That’s anxiety talking.”
- Replace it: “God is with me. He’s fighting this battle.”
- Release it: “I let go. You handle what I can’t, Lord.”
- “Obey God and leave the consequences with Him”
That’s the whole game, partner.
Wisdom for you: You’re responsible for obedience. God’s responsible for outcomes. You don’t have to control the result to be faithful.
Practice it today: Pick one area where you’ve been trying to control the outcome. Say out loud: “God, I obey. I leave the rest to You.” Then walk.
- God Uses Unexpected Teachers
Mo, your daughter’s friend, taught the God maniac about faith.
Wisdom for you: Wisdom doesn’t have an age, religion, or title. If God can speak through a donkey, He can speak through a teenager. Stay humble enough to learn.
Practice it today: Who around you might have a word for you today? Listen like God sent them.

Wisdom for you: Straight paths don’t mean easy paths. It means clear paths. No detours from your own fear or ego. Just God-led.
Practice it today: All day, all ways, submit. At home. At work. In traffic. In your head.
Bottom line, Nik-style:
EVOLVE means drop the old thoughts, pick up God’s thoughts, obey, and let Him handle the rest. That’s how you become the superhuman He called you to be.
God’s talkative. He’s talking to you today.
META PRAYER:
Father,
We heard You loud and clear today. EVOLVE.
So help us, God.
We trust You with ALL our heart. We stop leaning on our own understanding, our old conditioned thoughts, the ones that made us angry, sad, depressed, and kept us stuck. We’ve had enough of those.
Right now we ask the deep question You’re asking us: “Who am I in the deepest sense?”
Not who my past said I am. Not who fear said I am. Who YOU say I am.
Change our decision filter, Lord.
From “What makes me happy?”
To “What’s best for my family – our team? What makes YOU happy here?”
Give us superhuman strength when crazy lady wants to come out. We choose Your peace over our pride.
Teach us to replace every doubt, insecurity, anxiety, and negative thought with Your truth.
Because FAITH IN GOD is why we can think positively. You are with us. You’re supporting us. You’re fighting our battles.
So we let go. We let You control what we can’t.
Make us the superhumans You called us to be – in our homes, in our marriages, with our children, in our businesses, in the world.
Raise our kids to be world-changers.
Take our husbands’ work to new levels.
Bring humanity closer to You through our lives.
Make us the most awesome version of ourselves – the version that looks like You.
We obey You today, Lord.
We leave the consequences with You.
Because GOD ALWAYS KNOWS BEST!!!
We believe the thoughts You want us to think.
We do what You tell us to do, moment-by-moment.
We keep our eyes fixed on You.
