He Spoke Through A Goat

Heehaw! God can literally use anything and everything to speak to us!

This morning I heard my neighbor’s goat bleating. Instantly, I thought of the goats Ceri talked about in a recording he did years ago.

After I finished my YouTube prayer, I asked God, “What page of our website should I go to?” The nudge was clear: Page 5.

Can you believe it? Out of 167 webpages, God took me straight there. The very Ceri message I was thinking about was waiting.

It was like God said, “Nik, is this the Ceri message you just thought about?”

So enough from me today. Let me share that blog with you. It gave me strength, joy, and peace, KNOWING that the Sovereign Lord is with us, for us, and always by our side.

Ceri’s Message:

God’s favorite girl, baby! That’s how He makes me feel!

Last night I was in my car listening to my Ceri messages. I truly believe God has him record them for me. The first one that played had me crying the happiest tears. It felt like God was speaking directly to me.

Ceri said:
“Habakkuk 3:17-19 says: ‘Even though the fig trees have no blossoms, and there are no grapes on the vines; even though the olive crop fails, and the fields lie empty and barren; even though the flocks die in the fields, and the cattle barns are empty, yet I will rejoice in the LORD! I will be joyful in the God of my salvation! The Sovereign LORD is my strength! He makes me as surefooted as a deer, able to tread upon the heights.’”

I’m grateful for the gift of every morning. To be here, alive, living as righteous kingdom citizens. That last line stayed with me: “The Sovereign Lord is my strength! He makes me as surefooted as a deer, able to tread upon the heights.”

Growing up in Cat Island, you see it with your own eyes. On the boat, passing a tough cliff, you look up. Hundreds of goats stand on rocks so tiny their forefoot looks like a clenched fist. They don’t slip. They don’t fall. They climb with total confidence.

That’s surefooted. That’s trusting God will provide. That’s knowing He will fulfill His promises.

Even when nothing looks right, faith says: You may wake up with no money, no food. But before the day ends, you will eat. Before the day ends, what God promised will come to pass.

You can’t miss it. It was written before you were born. From the moment you were put on this planet, you were part of God’s plan.

Sometimes the misery you carry is a lesson that saves someone else’s life. Sometimes swallowing your pride to ask for help shows someone else they can be used by God. The small hard things give you strength for one more day.

You might say, “I don’t know how I can make it.” But God knows how.

“The righteous shall live by their faith.” Through any adversity, famine, or empty field, you will rejoice in the Lord.

“I will be joyful in the God of my salvation.” Be happy you’re here to go through it at all. Dead people don’t go through anything.

God is good, y’all, and I’m so happy to be here. Let the righteous continue to live by their faith.

Father,
You’re too much. You spoke through a bleating goat, a page number, and a years-old message to get Nik’s attention.

Thank You for being that personal with us.
When our fig trees have no blossoms and our barns are empty, make us surefooted.
Be our strength. Set our feet steady on every cliff You’ve placed us on.
Remind us that we are Your favorite, that our life is written into Your plan, and we cannot miss what You’ve promised.
Use our tears, our lack, our waiting to heal someone else.
Today we choose joy because we are alive to go through it with You.
We live by faith, not by fear.
