That was me running to Him for some alone time in a very upsetting morning. The crazy lady had come out in full force, and I needed some quiet minutes with Him. I opened up a book entitled ‘Goodness’ and there I amazingly found the perfect message from God:
“Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good.” – Roman 12:21
Being good and exhibiting goodness may be a battleground. Just because you decide to let goodness become a part of your lifestyle doesn’t necessarily mean that it will happen without a struggle…It’s a process, a daily commitment… There are ups and downs, good days and bad days, good and evil are a constant struggle.”
It was if God was saying, ‘It’s cool, Nik. There are going to be times when you’re not going to have it all perfectly together. Learn the lessons from the situation and let’s keep going.’
A BIG lesson turned out to be that not all battles are for me to fight. I felt God saying to me later that the crazy lady should go away and I obeyed – God, anything to please You!’ The calm, wise, sweet and forgiving Nik returned. I eventually felt Him say to TURN OVER the entire issue to Him. Yes, Boss! This old post came to mind:
“‘Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit,’ says the LORD Almighty.” (Zechariah 4:6, NIV)
By His Spirit
In this day and age, we are equipped with so many wonderful resources in the natural: technology, education, abilities. It’s easy to rely on our own natural strength for so many things.
We have to remember that this natural world is only temporary, but the spiritual realm is eternal. We aren’t limited to the earth’s resources; we have unlimited spiritual resources by the Spirit of God. There are some things in life that can’t happen by human thinking and reasoning. There are things that won’t be solved by natural power and might. But God is not limited by the resources of this world. When you open the door of faith in your heart, God will move through you in powerful ways by His Spirit.” – Joel Osteen
God is in control of everything and everyone!!! He can do way beyond what we can even think or imagine in the spiritual realm. When He tells me to cool down and leave matters with Him, I trust Him because of all the battles I’ve seen Him fight on my behalf before. That’s why I say EVERYTHING is between us and God, not between anyone else. I want us OBEDIENT to His will, seeking to please Him in every moment. We do what we feel through our spirit what He is directing us to do on a moment by moment basis and we leave the rest of the battle with Him. Wink! Wink!
I woke up to an appointment with Him reading one of my fav meditation books, ‘He and I.’ This sentence got my attention: “…and you will come to Me (God) more sincerely and GAILY (you notice how I repeat that word) because you will realize that you give Me joy.”
I knew the meaning of the word gaily, but I decided to go and look it up anyway on Google. I read some of its synonyms: brightly, cheerily, happily, heartily, merrily, smilingly. I then read some examples of it used in sentences. And after my family and I had the best time sitting around the table teasing each other last night, this was the example sentence that showed up: “We sat around the table, gaily teasing each other and laughing (Wink! Wink!). This again was no coincidence; it was God reminding me that His invisible Presence is always with me. It was as if He was saying, ‘Nik, I saw you having a fun time laughing with your family, teasing each other, at dinner last night!’
That’s every reason right there to be gaily, cheerful, merry, and joyful KNOWING that God’s Presence is ALWAYS with us. Another wink from Him was driving and seeing a license plate frame quoting my fav Bible verses, “Proverbs 3:5:6.” Fast forward a couple of hours, I go to read my calendar at work that I feel God speaks to me through, and it was on the wrong date, but these exact verses were quoted at the bottom:
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart…
In all your ways acknowledge him,
And He shall direct your paths.” – Proverbs 3:5-6
And that’s where I want us all, TRUSTING GOD WITH ALL OUR HEARTS. The things He is doing for me lately, I’m just amazed! Like, Wow, God, You did this for me?!? I’m talking in every aspect of my life, I see God’s hands at work. That’s why it’s my pleasure every day to share with you the GREATNESS of God and His intimate involvement in our lives. It’s just up to us to acknowledge Him in all our ways, seeking to please Him and seeking His guidance, and He will direct us on the most beautiful paths. To sit at that table with my kids and hubby last night, gaily and joyful, laughing and enjoying the best food, was all a testimony to a life lived close to God is really the best life (Wink! Wink!). Don’t miss out! Say this prayer, “God, I want a closer walk with You!” AMEN!!!
“I’M KEEPING A RECORD OF EVERYTHING YOU DO WRONG” (REPOST)
That was my husband to me some weeks ago. Really, boo?!? I responded, “I hope you’re also keeping a record of everything I do right, too, because I only keep a record of all the good you do and what a great husband and dad you are.” After that, though, he changed tracks, telling me how he tells everyone he married the best wife. “No, we ain’t perfect, but we damn close.” Til death do us part!
But this statement of keeping track of my mistakes is the complete opposite of how God looks at us:
“He has taken our sins away from us as far as the east is from the west.” – Psalm 103:12
“I, I am the One who forgives all your sins, for my sake; I will not remember your sins.” Isaiah 43:25
That’s the God who I want you to get to know. He is not at all like other humans who hold grudges and unforgiving thoughts against us, cuts us off, stop speaking to us, judges and condemns us. God is love. He said even if we have nothing (at our lowest), give Him that nothing. Didn’t He create the whole world from nothing? He loves us unconditionally no matter what we’ve done in the past, and He patiently waits in the background of our lives for us to invite Him in and show us His deep, deep love.
Working at our office here in Florida has been a huge challenge, but also a tremendous blessing. It’s pushing me even closer to God. I’m learning to go to Him in every moment asking what He would have me to do. Then, I listen to what He has to say to me through my spirit, specifically to me in that situation for His wisdom and guidance. He’s an expert in everything! A love like this can’t be explained, only experienced. My phone’s screensaver says,
“May your life be Mine (God’s)—uninterruptedly.”
I’m all Yours, God! Will you make your life His? Invite Him in. I promise the best life. Wink! Wink!
DO I USE GOD AS A WAY OF COPING WITH MY TERRIBLE LIFE? (REPOST)
I share my ups, downs, disappointments, frustrations, joyful and happy times, problems and proud moments, stresses and anxieties, weak, strong, brave and courageous moments to hopefully portray the fact that I’m going through this human experience just like everyone else, where we don’t know what to expect from one moment to the next. But, I ALWAYS ADD IN ONE CRUCIAL PERSPECTIVE THAT CHANGES EVERYTHING: I KNOW GOD IS WITH ME! That’s what you call FAITH, baby! Wink! Wink!
And let me tell ya, I can boast of my weaknesses because those are the times where I MUST rely on God’s strength EVEN HARDER. Like today, I went RUNNING to Him, ‘God, I need to hear from You!’ No shame in my game! This life gets challenging at times, and I needed to be reminded of the important GOD FACTOR. And He didn’t disappoint HIS GIRL! He found a way to LET ME KNOW THAT HIS INVISIBLE PRESENCE IS ALWAYS WITH ME.
‘Where should I go to hear from You? Is it through reading my old posts, through Tumblr.com, my book, or another meditation book?’ I asked Him quietly through my spirit. I felt Him saying a book someone nicely gave me a few weeks ago, He and I by Gabrielle Bossis. I instantly fell in love with it feeling God speak to me through it almost immediately. I had decided from last year that my words for this year would be “LOVE” and “DISCIPLINE,” so when this showed up in the book, what she felt God saying to her in 1941, I felt it was a message DIRECTLY from God to me, too:
“Your keynote for the year: Believe in love. Have faith in My love.”
I loved it so much that I made it my phone’s screensaver and it has been there ever since.
So, today as I asked God to hear from Him, I scrolled the cursor at the bottom of an electronic version of the book on my phone, and look what incredibly showed up:
“Your keynote for the year: Believe in love. Have faith in My love.” Wink! Wink!
And once again, everything lined up a little bit too perfect to be a mere coincidence. This was God’s sweet and intimate way of saying, ‘Nik, I’m with you!’
So, no matter the situations that come our way, I want us with total GODFIDENCE: WE HAVE GOD. FULL STOP. PERIOD. How God does what He does is none of our business! Our job is to LISTEN to His voice, TRUST that He’s with and for us, and OBEY His instructions! We can, therefore, think of best-case scenarios knowing HE is on our side helping us get through ANYTHING THIS LIFE HAS TO THROW AT US.
“BUT THE LORD STOOD AT MY SIDE AND GAVE ME STRENGTH”

ARE YOU ENJOYING GOD’S COMPANY?
I am! I am! I am! And my assignment from Him is to get you close to Him where you pick up on these glimmers of His invisible Presence that is ALWAYS with us. “Yet I am with you ALWAYS.”
I loved a wink from Him yesterday when once again, everything lined up too perfectly to be some ordinary coincidence. It was AGAIN God saying, ‘Nik, I am with you.’ It started out that morning in my appointment with Him reading from our family’s website, werollwithgod.com. I loved an old post there so much, I immediately reshared it. A WhatsApp friend asked me if I had a soft copy of the book I quoted from, A Purpose Driven Life for Kids. I said I didn’t, but there is a website I will send her a link to find out more, purposedriven.com. Trying to find the site, though, in the electronic book on my phone, I read quickly and thought I would go back later and read some more, as I was so busy between cooking for my sons and doing some work.
When I finally got a chance to go back and read, the book said, “Each has a particular role to play…” Within a minute of reading that, there is a lady on the TV who says, “All of us have a role to play.” Wink! Wink! That lined up too perfectly to be some random coincidence. It was all PERFECTLY planned and orchestrated by God t let me know His Presence is always with me.
And KNOWING I have Him by my side gives me the confidence to face life happily and bravely, believing He has my back. And He has yours, too! It’s only for us to involve Him in our lives, asking Him to be the guide of every decision we make.
I had another special wink from Him last night. It has only been 7 years in the making, but our sons finally slept in their own bedroom last night. Praise God! But 7 years ago, I purchased Spiderman bedsheets for them, and last night I was very angry making up their bed when I got an important message from God from the comforter making up the top bunk, “Stick with Me.” I immediately knew this was Him saying, ‘Nik, stay on the high road with Me being your best, most loving and forgiving self.’ God, I’m trying. Not always easy listening to Him, but I believe this:
“The Lord says, “I will guide you along the best pathway for your life.
I will advise you and watch over you.” – Psalm 32:8
Amen! Stick with God! I promise you, no other love like His. Everything is between us and Him! Wink! Wink!
