“THE AWARENESS OF GOD’S PRESENCE IS WHAT GIVES YOU COURAGE”

Those words from Dr. Charles Stanley are what I’m going with. Your girl needs LOTS of courage these days, and God finds the sweetest ways to let me know that His Presence is ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS with me.

Like I sold a car to a customer on Friday, and we talked about a restaurant that I used to eat at over 10 years ago, named the Pepper Pot. Fast forward to today, three days later, I go to the gas station across the street from our business, and I meet this familiar face at the entrance. He stared at me, I stared back at him. I told him where I worked, and he said, “I’m the cook from the Pepper Pot! (Wink! Wink!)” No way this was a coincidence. It was another one of my God alignments where everything lines up a little bit too perfectly! God orchestrated this meeting just to reveal another glimmer of His invisible Presence with me as if saying, ‘Nik, My Presence is ALWAYS with you!!!’ The funny thing was that I had to rush to that gas station because I ran out early and forgot deodorant! God even used that, of all things, to remind me of His Presence!!! (HUGE SMILE)

Then, I was invited to a group called Breakfast and the Bible. I’m enjoying listening to other members, but I never share. So, on my way to my God tree, I was thinking if I was to share, that it would be my fav verses from Proverbs 3:3-6, because these verses sum up so perfectly the foundation for my entire life and pretty much every decision I now make (I try!). So, at 8:00, I was under the tree, and I decided to read page 8 of our family’s website and look what incredibly showed up:

“Never let loyalty and kindness leave you! Tie them around your neck as a reminder. Write them deep within your heart. Then you will find favor with both God and people, and you will earn a good reputation. Trust in the LORD with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.” – Proverbs 3:3-6

Exactly the verses I said I would share minutes before getting there! Now I’m really under pressure from God to speak! Ok, Boss! But see again how God figured out a way to let me know that even down to every thought I think, He knows all about it! And these verses are spot on, God’s guidance has never failed me, and even when He takes me on rugged paths, I trust Him with all my heart. As I do everything to the best of my abilities in the physical realm, I leave the rest for Him to handle in the spiritual realm on my behalf. These verses have guided me through so many challenges and difficult situations that I must tell you guys, “Don’t play around with your relationship with God. He is an expert in everything! He is taking me to new levels of closeness with Him!

But learning God’s voice is vital, though. Take time to have appointments with Him by reading the Bible or anything spiritual that brings you closer to Him, asking, ‘God, what do you have to say to me?’ Then, when you get back into the world, taking what He said and putting it into practice (super hard part sometimes), being obedient to Him, and leaving all consequences with Him is the way to the best life with Him! Amen!

I DIDN’T MAKE IT TO MY GOD TREE TODAY…

But God found a way to let me know His Presence is ALWAYS with me. So, I promised hubby that I would give a call to a staff to see how we can improve from a situation that came up (we’re not running from our weaknesses! Constant improvement, baby!)). After discussing it with this person, she confessed to having a hard time working with my husband because he is always so harsh with his criticisms. I even told how I just wrote yesterday how hubs took away all my confidence from our business after he came to town and tore down everything I did as if I did nothing right with his neverending complaints. I explained to her how my new strategy is to keep my focus on God, knowing He approves of and is pleased with me, despite hubby’s feelings at any given moment. I assured her that God is our real Boss, and we should work as if we’re working for Him, not letting my husband bring down our spirits. “STAND STRONG,” I said to her.

Fast forward almost exactly an hour later, I didn’t make it to my God tree, so I said at 26 minutes past the hour, let me see what God has to say to me on page 26 of our family’s website, and look what incredibly showed up:

““THAT’S THE DEVIL”

Those were the exact words I needed to hear under my God tree today. I confessed to that person how I had stopped going into our office to avoid being around my critical husband. We have different managerial styles, and when he is around, he seems only to want to criticize all my decisions, feeling his ways are always superior. To avoid confrontations, I’ve stayed away. But yesterday, under the tree, I felt God saying to me not to do that anymore. That I must go and face my husband’s fault findings and stand STRONG, and crucially, He would be my strength when I’m weak.”

Wow! God is pretty talkative! He used this post from almost a year ago to reveal another glimmer of His invisible Presence. That lined up too perfectly with the conversation I had with our employee to be a random coincidence. Even down to my words to her, “STAND STRONG,” showed up! Forget about it, Ember, I’m definitely God’s favorite!

Then, a week ago, I purchased a wristband from this store saying, “SHINE BRIGHT LIKE A DIAMOND.” Fast forward to today, I’m searching for a message from God through my YouTuber Stargirl, who always has special messages from God to me. I ended up listening to a prediction for my zodiac sign, and look what Stargirl says to me:

“Spirit (God) is showing me you are becoming your dream self. You are starting to look and act like the person you have always wanted to be. You are SHINING LIKE A DIAMOND (Wink! Wink!) more than ever…”

In this huge store, for me to pick this specific bracelet out of hundreds, there, was just the set-up from God to this beautiful wink from Him. In fact, I just locked up in my bathroom singing to Him while I was doing my hair, singing these lyrics to Him:

“I really like what You’ve done to me. Can’t really explain it, I’m so into You” – Jac Ross

God is our GREATEST FRIEND EVER. He wants us to enjoy this friendship as He constantly works with us to become our dream selves, all for His glory. He knows the worst of us but still loves us unconditionally. Don’t miss out on all this good loving from God! Get to know Him for yourself! Make sure you are making Him your top priority and focus. God, please bring us all closer to You!!! Amen!

“YOU MUST GO TO CHURCH!!!”

That was me to our sons yesterday! And I’m so happy they went. Can you believe my twelve-year-old son, Joshie, came back excited to tell me what he learned? “Mommy, they talked about forgiveness and how important it is to forgive. The Pastor told a story of how someone held on to unforgiveness towards their parents for so many years and how it poisoned their life, causing them so many problems. However, Joshie explained, “If he had forgiven his parents instead and handed the unforgiveness over to God, he wouldn’t have walked around with all that poison in him, and he would have been much happier.” That’s my little twelve-year-old spiritual guru, guys!

Let me tell you, whatever anyone does is between them and God! Let’s just be the forgiving, going the extra mile in love people that God would have us to be. I know this forgiveness thing is hard, but when we keep our eyes fixed on God, obeying Him in every move, this is how He guides us on the path to the best life with Him.

I was just telling my husband how we had such a great time working with our kids this week. My daughter, Ember, and I, stayed back yesterday after the other kids left early, and I told her today how much I enjoyed being with her. The fact that we were arguing over who is God’s fav, me or her, is a testimony of how God shows our family such deep love. I told hubby it’s because he works so hard for us! He is our gift from God!

I just told hubs how he stole my confidence when he came to visit, though (tough boss!), but I’m building it back again by the grace of God. Let me tell ya, under my God tree today, God reminded me of the “411,” which is Him explicitly (no doubt whatsoever!) telling me that He will help me with our family business that has been through lots of ups and downs, but we’re not giving up. That I must just move confidently in the direction of my dreams, knowing He is behind the scenes helping us. Our grandchildren will enjoy this business. God is the owner; we just work for Him!

Are you getting God involved in every aspect of your life? It is not always easy, but always the best move to follow God. Sometimes I could be boiling mad with this hubby, but God has been teaching me to wise, calm, and strong and to control my emotions. And eventually, I got over whatever I was upset at him about, and focused on all the great qualities that I love. But that decision to keep forgiving, stay loving and loyal, following God’s lead, has been the best! My daughter and I are arguing over who is God’s fav! I love it!

THIS IS CRAZY!!!

Under the God tree today (my alone time with God!!!), this verse showed up:

“He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.” – Psalm 91:1

It was a great reminder that I’m resting under God’s protection, help, support, guidance, love, approval, and favor (AMEN!), and I went as far as taking a picture of it. Fast forward to coming to work a few hours later, I look up from my desk, and I see someone wrote “Psalm 91” on a vision board we have here, which wasn’t there yesterday. I screamed in amazement, “Who wrote that there?!?” My daughter Ember said it just came to her, and she decided to write it there. Wow! I got goosebumps all over, showing her the picture I took on my phone of this verse from Psalm 91.

The incredible part was that she took the picture as God’s love for her, and I saw it as God’s love for me!!! She said, “I’m God’s fav!” but under the tree today, after running .81 miles, I went to page 81 of our family’s website, and look what showed up:

“Yesterday, I went a little crazy in a video playing a clip of Justin Bieber singing his song, ‘Favorite Girl,’ feeling God is singing the lyrics to me:

“My prized possession
One and only…
My favorite girl, my favorite girl
Promise I’ll play no games
Treat you no other way than you deserve
‘Cause you’re the girl of my dreams’”

So, both my daughter and I are in SYNC, baby!!! We both landed on the same Psalm 91, and both feel we are God’s fav girls! She Googled Psalm 91 this morning after God put it in her spirit to read it (His sheep know His voice!). That’s the love God shows our family. No way this alignment was just a regular coincidence! It was God Himself revealing His Presence with us both by having Ember write that there. That’s why I say don’t expect anything special from this world, but do expect God to give you more than you can ever ask or imagine, and having this close to God, wise, calm, focused, fierce, beautiful daughter, who sets the bar extremely high for her siblings to follow, is just one example of how God gives us more than we can ask or imagine. (HUGE SMILE)

I have a new thing now with my husband under the God tree. I call him so that we can pray together. Yesterday I told him in amazement how far God has brought us and that we have nothing to complain about. God has been great to us! Honestly, today I have all our kids at work with me, trying to pass on to them the values that have worked for us. I’ve written some of them on our vision board as a constant reminder:

Do the best of your abilities and leave the rest with God
Excellence
Dedication
Patience
Loyalty
Honor God in all our actions

“DON’T EXPECT ANYTHING SPECIAL FROM THIS WORLD” (REPOST)

But do expect God to give you more than you can ever ask or imagine! That’s my testimony, baby! I’m living a life that was designed by God Himself! I look back to the key moments of some significant decisions I’ve made through the years, and let me tell ya, God has been my Guide and Partner before I even developed this close relationship with Him. And this is why I try to be here every day sharing this GREAT NEWS that God’s invisible Presence is intimately involved in our lives. It’s just for us to learn His ways and walk with Him. I have a lot going on with hubby around, but this old post has some crucial info I hope you guys are picking about rolling with God and living your best life with Him as your first love and priority (Wink! Wink!).

“SO LET ME BE FOR REAL WITH YOU…”

To tell you about this remarkable friendship I’ve developed with God. That we all have UNLIMITED access to the Creator of the entire universe at every moment! His guidance has led my life on a gorgeous path where He EXCEEDS my expectations. I call it the sweet life with God!

So, every morning, I wake up to have an appointment with Him reading from our family’s website, werollwithgod.com. This morning I read about a conversation with a friend where I used the word SYNERGY. Minutes later, I go to have an appointment with God, and astonishingly, this very word “SYNERGY” shows up in my meditation book. And because I’ve gotten to know God so well, I knew this was all orchestrated by Him to give His girl here a tiny glimmer of His invisible Presence that is ALWAYS with us.

I’ve known this friend for over ten years now, and it’s a relationship that we’ve developed through spending time together. Not one moment has been wasted because her influence on my decisions has been extraordinary. She’s been this shining example of a person who has most importantly pointed me closer to God (The best kind of friend to have, by the way!). I’ve gotten to know her personality. I know her likes and her dislikes. And the same thing with God. I’ve developed a strong relationship with Him through having devoted alone times with Him and seeking Him continually throughout the day. I’ve learned His personality as well. But most vitally, I’ve learned His voice and HIS INFLUENCE on every decision I make is beyond human comprehension. You just have to experience it for yourself!

Incredibly, on a moment-by-moment basis, I can pick up on what He is saying to me. “My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me,” is the Bible verse I run with. I’ve beautifully learned His voice, and I’VE WISELY LEARNED TO FOLLOW HIM! And I want everyone here with me, following THE BEST LEADER EVER: GOD.
Like yesterday, I was talking to one of my kids, and I importantly asked them, “What is God advising you to do?” I said how I’ve learned to listen to Him in my spirit, and feelings of doubt usually mean “don’t” from Him. If I think of going in a particular direction and I don’t feel peaceful about it, I know that’s God’s way of again saying, “Don’t do that!’ However, when I hash out doing something in my spirit with Him, and I feel peaceful, happy, and enthusiastic, then I know that’s His way of saying, “Yes, Nik, this is the way to go.” No peaceful feelings, no move! I stay put! Got all that?

In fact, I’m in a conversation with God all day. I constantly pray for His direction, clarity, and help to sort out any situation I’m facing. I continually receive His answers that are always coming to me through His whispers, nudges, cues, and thoughts that magically pop to mind as to what He would have us to do. This sheep KNOWS God’s voice!

He’s my Shepherd in this crazy world! My phone’s screensaver says, “Let me (God) be the meaning of your composure.” It’s my reminder that I can be calm, at peace, and joyful regardless of what is going on around me because God stands STRONG with me. He’s with you, too! Start making Him a priority and seeking Him first thing every morning, asking, “What do You have to say to me at this moment?” and continually throughout the day asking, “God, what would You have me to do here!’ I promise you, a life lived close to God is the best life! Don’t miss out! Our Shepherd always knows best, and He has great plans for our lives! Say this prayer with me, “God, I want a closer walk with You!’ Amen!

THE JOY OF THE LORD IS MY STRENGTH, BABY!!!

I can’t get over how I run to my God tree every morning feeling so overwhelmed, heavy, burdened, and anxious by everything I have on my plate to tackle these days. Yet, on my way back home, after having some alone time with God, I’m light, happy dancing, and filled with peace and God’s love. This is God’s invitation

“HOW???” was the critical question I was asked today on Facebook when I wrote that we should get to know God a little bit better every day. That “how?” is my assignment from God to teach you guys how I experience Him so that you would begin feeling His invisible Presence with you.

Like this morning, even with everything on my plate, I said I must finish my blog postings to my Facebook groups. I went to one of the groups, and someone asked in a post, “What’s the meaning of FATHER OF LIES?” I ended up discussing this with my son, Joshie, how the devil is the “Father of Lies.” Fast forward about an hour later, I’m under the God tree, and just using the scroll key to randomly select something to read from Jesus Calling (my fav meditation book!), asking God what He had to say to me, look what incredibly showed up:

“Remember that the evil one is the FATHER OF LIES (Wink! Wink!).”

God unbelievably got involved with that conversation!!! I call this a God wink when everything lines up a little bit too perfect to be some random coincidence, but God Himself revealing a glimmer of His invisible Presence. I freaked out feeling so loved and blown away by God’s personal attention to me. For all the posts for me to see on Facebook asking that peculiar question, to me just randomly scrolling and selecting this day of 365 days in this devotional, was everything aligning just too perfect. It was all orchestrated by God Himself to remind me that He is with me in every moment of my life. And He is with you too!!!

I loved another God wink after I wrote this in yesterday’s post:

“Like Moises (our business manager) had even abandoned me for a little bit, but now I thank him for leaving. If I’m honest, he was a crutch holding me up, and when he walked out, I had to learn to stand firm on my own. With hubby gone, that left me leaning on God and God alone, and let me tell ya, THERE IS NO PLACE I’LL RATHER BE. Moises and hubby leaving turned out to be the best thing! I’m going to new levels of closeness with God!!! I had to boss up and boss up fast!”

Fast forward two hours later, I decided to spend time with God while eating my dinner. I started at July 11 of the same devotional, Jesus Calling, written as if God is speaking to me. After writing that I was left LEANING ON GOD, look what God had to say to me:

“I WANT YOU TO LEAN ON (Wink! Wink!), trust, and be confident in Me. When you lean on Me for support, I delight in your trusting confidence.”

Again, this lined up too perfectly to be some ordinary coincidence. It was God AGAIN with a special message for His girl here, letting me know He is PERSOANLLY involved in my life! And this awareness of God’s Presence is what I want us all feeling! That we are not going through life alone. God gives us the love, joy, and peace to not just endure our lives, but enjoy them KNOWING HE IS BY OUR SIDE THROUGH EVERYTHING WE GO THROUGH. That’s faith baby!

But notice that both of these God winks came when I took time to ask God, “What do you have to say to me?” I was silent, and He spoke. So, that’s an essential part of the “HOW???” learning to spend alone times with God, seeking His face by reading or listening to anything spiritual. As you seek Him, trust me, you will find Him! A love out of this world! Don’t miss out! Our help comes from the Lord!!!

“WHEN WAS THE LAST TIME YOU SAW ME CRY SAD TEARS?”

That was me to my Julie yesterday after I teased her in the office about her crying recently (it turned out to be a good thing!)! I bragged that I only cry happy tears now and my son Emmie was with us backing me up, “Yes, mommy only cries happy tears!!!” That made me extremely happy that my kids are a witness to my life with God. They see all the ups and downs, and lately it’s been lots of ups! PRAISE GOD!!! I love this old post:

“YOU’LL ONLY CRY THOSE HAPPY TEARS”

I felt God singing to me yesterday through the song, ‘I Swear’ by All for One:

“I see the questions in your eyes
I know what’s weighing on your mind
You can be sure I know my part
‘Cause I’ll stand beside you through the years
And you’ll only cry those happy tears
For better or worse, ’til death do us part
I’ll love you with every beat of my heart
And I swear”

I was playing this as I dressed to go out and buy something for the boy’s dinner. As I was leaving to get something to cook, Joshie asked for pizza, and when I told him “No,” he asked his friend, Isaiah, who came over to play their game if he wanted pizza. The way Isaiah responded, though, was so cute and funny that I said, “No problem, I’ll get it.” Can you believe I’m waiting for the pizza, and I started crying those happy tears from the song that I felt God was singing to me minutes before?

It was a crazy day, but again like the lyrics said, “I’ll stand beside you,” I truly felt overwhelmingly supported by God. I just felt God coming through for me in so many areas. Like my daughter, Ember, showed up to help me with a project at our office, and she did such a great job helping me out. I had a great conversation with my nephew Duro that he is getting some help he needed in getting an internship. Joshie ended up telling me that Isaiah said it was his best time having pizza. To see my boys so happy playing with such fun and positive friends made me so happy. When I told Emmie that our life is a mess right now looking at so much laundry to put away, he surprised me and said, “LIFE IS GREAT!” No shame in my game, I can honestly tell you, when I’m weak, God is my strength standing STRONG with me. For better or worse, when I’m high or when I’m low, He is there like this verse from Isaiah beautifully reminds us:

“So do not fear, for I am with you;
do not be dismayed, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you;
I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” – Isaiah 41:10

Even when I’m feeling good for nothing, He says, “Nik, give me your nothingness! Didn’t I create the world from nothing!” We can unceasingly worship, praise, and thank God at every moment knowing we can always count on Him to be there for us with His love, joy, strength, peace, wisdom, and favor backing me up in this treacherous world where we don’t know what is coming at us from one moment to the next. He is there for you too!!! It’s just for us to tap into his help, love, and guidance! Pray all day! Every day!

And speaking of His love. After going all overboard about Tom Brady in my last YouTube video, can you believe, hours later, my daughters and I attended what we thought was a DJ Khaled concert, but turned out to be the Sports Illustrated Awards Show, and unbelievably Tom Brady was in attendance accepting the award for Sportsperson of the Year. I gave him a screaming standing ovation, so surprised by God.

This lined up a little bit too perfect to be some ordinary coincidence. I knew this was God lovingly arranging for me to see Tom Brady, who has had such a strong influence on my decisions to train myself like an athlete every day, as I aim to be the Greatest of ALL Time Wife, Momma, and Person, ALL FOR THE GLORY OF GOD! Tom taught me that we could strive to be the best in our little worlds, and I run with that, waking up every day with that as my goal. Some days I fail miserably, but every day is a new start to begin again, leaving the past in the past, knowing God can help get any situation back on track once we look to Him, moment by moment, for guidance. God is personally involved in our lives!!! Don’t miss out on the best life with Him!

“HOLD UP… LET ME GET MY MIND RIGHT”

God is so good, guys! He knows the experiences we need to help us become all He has created us to be!!! He broke my mind for a bit (God, I’m on to You!!!), but He did it with great intentions to get my head right and focused on Him!!! I can boast of my weaknesses, baby! God’s strength shines through to help me in my highest and lowest times.

Like I can’t get over how God sent my brother, Kevin, to hold my hand through my sad little time. He gave me this advice one day:

“DON’T STOP RUNNING. LIFE IS A WAR, AND YOU NEED THAT ALONE TIME WITH GOD TO STRATEGIZE AND PLAN.”

Thank You, God and Kevin!!! Just as Jesus went aside to have alone times with God, that’s exactly what I do. My daily runs to my God tree is where I ask Him, ‘God, Your girl is here. What do you want to say to me?’ And let me tell ya, this time listening to God has been PRICELESS.

This morning, He said this to me through my meditation book, Jesus Calling:

“Nothing is as important as spending time with Me.”

Did you hear that? There is nothing as important as spending time with God. He is our greatest friend. Every time I go to that tree, God chips away the old Nikki, as he helps me transform into a better, happier, more peaceful, courageous, stronger, and loving Nikki. Amen! I also learn His voice, character, and personality better. So, when I’m out in the world, I can discern what He is telling me moment-by-moment.

What made me realize the value of these alone times with God is hanging with my sister-in-law, Aima, last night. I saw the incredible difference in myself from the last time I visited her, maybe two months ago. It was an incredible difference from the wretched, sad person who dragged herself there. Last night, I was incredibly joyful, at peace, focused, excited, and enthusiastic about my life. The foolish things that were bothering me are gone. I’m focused, man! THANK YOU, GOD!!!

Make sure you are having your alone time with God EVERY DAY!!! THIS LIFE IS A WAR!!! WE NEED GOD!!!

GOD FINDS THE SWEETEST WAYS TO LET ME KNOW HE IS WITH ME

In my last post, I wrote how I asked my brother this when he insisted on paying me for some help:

“How can I possibly charge the person who has held my hand for the last three years that I’ve been going through my little ROUGH PATCH?”

Fast forward to today, I grabbed my daughter’s meditation book, Jesus Calling, from her room, and I randomly opened it to read it, and look what showed up, written as if God was speaking directly to me:

“When you encounter ROUGH PATCHES (Wink! Wink!) along your life-journey, trust that My Light is still shining upon you. My reasons for allowing these adversities may be shredded in mystery, but my continual Presence with you is an absolute promise.”

I remember typing that ROUGH PATCH in that post, feeling a little embarrassed about sharing it, and for God to go ahead of me and have those very words planted in this book of 365 days to reveal a glimmer of His invisible Presence, just brings tears to my eyes. OUR GOD IS WITH US!!! That was no coincidence but totally orchestrated by God Himself to deliver that promise to me on a day when my anxiety level has been on the high side. This was His sweet way of saying, ‘Nik, Relax, I got you!’ Wink! Wink! “My continual Presence with you is an absolute promise.”

Honestly, there were God winks showing up all over the place today! I was in my daughter Julie’s room to drop off a gift I had purchased for her. It was a week where she heard me like a broken record say, “Whatever you do, but love into it.” She even joined in telling me about a visit to one of our lenders saying, “Don’t worry mom, we put a lot of love into it!” Fast forward to today, I’m in this big store, and God draws my attention to a mug saying, ““Let all you do…be done with love!” (Wink! Wink!).” Again, no coincidence but God’s way of letting me know that He is intimately involved in every moment of my life, every conversation, every move I make, He knows all about it even before it happens.

And He’s with you, too! It’s just for you to try the best you can every day to learn more about Him and the many ways He communicates with us. Trust me, He is quite talkative. Joshie has already stolen a wristband I purchased from this same store saying that “The Lord is My Shepherd.”

I asked him if he knew what that meant. I explained that God is continually guiding his life from moment to moment, it’s just for him to learn God’s voice and follow wherever He leads. My sheep know my voice! I told him how we left Nigeria following God’s lead for the girls to finish high school in the US with plans to go to university in New York. Come next month, both of them will be enrolled in New York universities, baby!

Hanging with my sweetie daughter, Ember, today, I said I don’t go with my dreams anymore because God always gives me far beyond anything I can ever imagine or expect! (HUGE SMILE) Yesterday he asked me to have faith in His love! God, may we all increase our faith in You!!! Don’t miss out! Start developing a relationship with God for yourself!
