“WISH WE WERE THERE WITH YOU GUYS”

That was me to my hubby today. He and the boys are in Nigeria, and me and the girls are in the US. And with the airports being closed there to international flights for a month or so, we’re riding out this Coronavirus separated from each other. I told hubs that God didn’t plan for us to be together, but I would like to use this as an opportunity for us to get closer to Him. My goal is to come through this storm a happier and better wife, momma, and person. I thanked him for the beautiful life I get to live with them. I have the best family in the world, y’all. We ain’t perfect, but we’re sure close. (SMILE)Let’s not allow a good tragedy to go to waste, is how I’m feeling! I’m back on my 50 days of discipline, seeking as always to work on becoming a better me. The goal of spending 24 hours a day with God is back on. That means continually seeking His love, wisdom, direction, and strength in everything I do, say, and especially everywhere I go. I love a sermon I’ve been listening to repeatedly that asks:“Jesus (God), what is your perspective on every moment of my life. Every relationship. Every decision. Every circumstance. And how can I enter into it to glorify you.” – Bel Air ChurchGot that?“Jesus (God), what is your perspective on every moment of my life. Every relationship. Every decision. Every circumstance. And how can I enter into it to glorify you.” – Bel Air ChurchGod, make it possible for us to love You more. May we tune in to Your will for our lives. Let us see more clearly where we’re going wrong and give us the grace not to repeat them offering our entire lives to You.“So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.”It’s not about what we want, but continually asking God, what would You have me to do here? Offering every moment to Him. And this is how He will guide us safely through this storm and any other storm that comes our way. We can have a God perspective trusting that He is intimately involved in every moment of our lives, protecting us and fighting battles on our behalf. Amen.WEROLLWITHGOD.COM

GOD, HELP ME GET THIS CRAZINESS OUT OF MY HEAD

That has been me to Him, lately. I have this situation that REALLY FRUSTRATES me that for years now, I’ve been referring to as my “WEEDS.” So, yesterday, feeling so annoyed at myself for dwelling on them too much, I went running to God. And can you believe He showed up? Of all my meditation books, of all the pages, this one was a direct message from God HIMSELF to me (the crazy lady) in that exact moment:“Your deepest, most constant need is for My Peace. I have planted Peace in the garden of your heart, where I live, but there are WEEDS (Wink! Wink!) growing there too. I am the Gardener, and I am working hard to rid your heart of those WEEDS. I do My work in various ways. When you sit quietly with Me, I shine the LIGHT of My Presence directly into your heart. In this heavenly Light, Peace grows abundantly and WEEDS shrivel up. I also send trials into your life. When you trust Me in the midst of trouble, Peace flourishes and WEEDS die away. Thank Me for troublesome situations; the Peace they produce far outweighs the trials you endure.” – Jesus CallingWow! God is too much! For over a week now, I’ve been stressing too much about a WEED that appeared and I’ve been begging Him to please take it off my mind. And yesterday, running to Him for an appointment, when I was feeling so low, He had this all perfectly timed for me to read. Nik, let ME worry about the WEEDS, not you. KK, God, they’re all Yours!!!See the sweetness of God I always write about. No matter the messiness that we have going on, He figures out ways to help us. I can, therefore, BOAST of my weaknesses because when I’m low, God comes through even GREATER to let me know He is with me. And with a love like that, from the Creator of the Entire Universe, tell me, what is there to be sad about? This gave me such a confidence booster yesterday. Forget Coronavirus. Forget all the other troublesome situations in my life at the moment. MY GOD IS WITH ME. And He’s with you, too! Start running to Him too when you have your difficult moments and get His perspective on your life. His ways are not our ordinary human ways; they’re so much better! Wink! Wink!“God can turn the strongest poison to the sweetest honey.”WEROLLWITHGOD.COM

“GOD GOT US”

That was me to my brother, Kevin, this evening after speaking to my mom via telephone together as she recovers in the hospital from having a low sodium level. This momma means the world to us and we can’t get over how God has once again EXCEEDED our expectations with a top hospital here in Florida taking excellent care of her. I say I write these posts that I work for God but let me tell ya, HE IS SERIOUSLY WORKING FOR ME. My screensaver on my phone sums up my relationship with Him:“I’ll be there (God), though unseen, and you’ll feel the sweetness of my Presence.” – He and I“How did you make this happen?” my sister asked today. “It’s God,” I replied. Not only is the hospital taking great care of her, THEY’RE COMPLETELY COVERING ALL HER HOSPITAL BILLS. We applied for financial assistance and they sent a letter saying that they’re taking 100% responsibility. Wow! Even the God maniac here is blown away. But God gave me a little wink one day when I spent the day working at a mechanic shop. I had called to check to see if they had received some emailed documents and as the recording on the phone said “Community Health,” I looked up from where I was outside making that call and there was a building directly across the street that said “Community Health” at the same time as that recorded message. That was no coincident. That was God saying, “Nik, I got you.” And just like that, hundreds of thousands of dollars of bills have been magically paid for IN FULL. Don’t play with our God! He takes excellent care of His people! But if anyone deserves this awesome gesture, it’s my mom. She has been the kindest person in the world. She gives her all to all. I’m blessed to have such a mom to teach me about kindness. “To the giver comes the fullness of life; to the taker, just an empty hand.” I’m having a FULL life thanks to my mom teaching me kindness. So much so that I dedicated an entire year to being with my mom and daughters hoping that she would rub off on them too with this crucial value. Kindness is rewarded by God Himself. But don’t take my word for it, go out and be the kindest person you know asking God to allow you to be his hands and voice in the world doing as much as you can, for as many people as you can, for as long as you can. No one pays me to write these posts, but I feel the sweetness of God’s invisible Presence all day long. And there is FULLNESS of JOY in His Presence because we trust in Him. Be kind.WEROLLWITHGOD.COM
