I love my conversations with my daughter Julie. She has been training me on this one verse:
We take every thought captive. — 2 Corinthians 10:5
Not some thoughts. EVERY thought.
That means our life becomes a walking meditation. A constant conversation with God. It sounds like this: “Okay God, this is what I’m thinking here. What do You think?”
When worry comes, I don’t wrestle with it. I present it. “God, what can I do here in this moment? Is this something I need to handle, or something I need to trust You with?”
God Whisper: Bring the jumble to Me, My daughter. I will keep you in perfect peace when your mind stays on Me. — Isaiah 26:3
Here is how we roll: We do our 0.001% — the best of our ability, whatever is in front of us. We trust God to do the other 99.999%. Walking intertwined like this, capturing every thought.
Yesterday a customer said, “What do you think? You think I’m going to get approved?” Around here we have faith in God. We keep our hope high. We do what God called us to do — show up, have our cars ready, have our hearts ready, and have honest conversations one moment at a time.
When worry tries to come back — because it will — I go back to the promise:
Do not fear, for I am with you. I will strengthen you and help you. — Isaiah 41:10
My God is faithful. Nothing too difficult for Him.
God Whisper: Nik, My support is with you. My grace is sufficient. You bring 0.01%, I bring 99.99%. — 2 Corinthians 12:9
Like my guy Mo taught me: My faith in God is why I can be positive and confident. Because whatever God does is well done. Whatever He allows is well done. His ways are not our ways. — Isaiah 55:8-9
Make your life this walking meditation: Do I go right? Do I go left? Do I speak? Do I not speak? Tap in. Discern. Ask. Before we eat. Before we drink. Before we decide. “Okay God, we’re here.” Put God at the forefront of all our actions.
That’s what We Roll With God means.
TODAY’S GOD WINK — THE 6 AM REPLAY AT THE GOD TREE
This bloggy didn’t have a God wink until God gave me one TODAY at 6 AM.
At 6 AM this morning, I was by our God Tree reading Page 6 of our family website. Page 6 is about a time we were standing in the rain with my husband and staff talking through an issue, then walked back into the office and what was playing? A song from 38 years ago: “Can You Stand the Rain?” by New Edition.
Page 6 says:
Random? No. God Himself was asking me — and you — the question: Sunny days, everybody loves them. Tell me, baby, can you stand the rain? Storms will come. This we know for sure. Can you stand the rain? I’m learning to love the storms. That’s where I experience God supporting me more than ever.
I read that at 6 AM by our God Tree. Then I come into our office today to get the fun party mode on — you know I love to turn on the music and get the party started for our customers — and the VERY SONG that’s playing as soon as I turn it on is “Can You Stand the Rain!”
Same song I just read about at 6 AM! At 6 AM I read it by the God Tree, a few hours later God plays it LIVE in the office! Nobody can tell me this was not God!!!!
God Whisper: My daughter, at 6 AM you read the question by our tree, and at the office I sang you the question to start your party. Sunny days everybody loves — but can you stand the rain? I replayed your Page 6 for you LIVE to show you I stand with you in the rain, and I party with you too. My support is with you — 1111. That’s how we roll with God.
Page 6 even says He confirmed it at my prayer altar — a customer brought food from their bakery, I looked at the bag and saw my angel numbers 1111. God reminding me: “Nik, My support is with you.”
We don’t just read the Word, we roll with it — even in the rain. Even in party mode.
Peace.
WHAT AM I TEACHING YOU TODAY?
I’m not teaching you a theory. I’m teaching you how we live. How Julie trained me. How Mo taught me. How we roll.
1. I am teaching you Response-ability.
It’s not life that is hard — it’s our reactions that make it hard. John 16:33 says in the world you will have tribulation. Storms will come. This we know for sure. Page 6 asked you — Can you stand the rain?
Response-ability means you don’t react from you, you respond WITH God. You have His ability inside you. Sunny days everybody loves — but can you stand the rain? Yes, when you respond with God, not react from worry.
2. I am teaching you The Walking Meditation — Take EVERY Thought Captive.
Not some thoughts. EVERY thought. 2 Cor 10:5.
Your life becomes a constant conversation. Not a morning prayer and then you go do life. Life IS the prayer. Before you eat, before you drink, before you decide — Okay God, we’re here.
It sounds like this: “God, this is what I’m thinking here. What do You think?”
You don’t wrestle the worry thought. You present it.
3. I am teaching you The 0.001% Rule — Why We Can Be Positive and Confident.
Like my guy Mo taught me — my faith in God is why I can be positive. Because whatever God does is well done. Whatever He allows is well done. His ways are not our ways. Isaiah 55:8-9.
You do your 0.001% — the best of your ability, whatever is in front of you. Show up, have your cars ready, have your hearts ready, have honest conversations one moment at a time.
God does the other 99.999%. That’s Isaiah 41:10 — I will strengthen you and help you. I will uphold you. That’s the 1111 on the bakery bag — Nik, My support is with you. That’s why you can keep your hope high when a customer asks “Will I get approved?” Around here we have faith in God.
4. I am teaching you that God Winks are His Replay Button.
At 6 AM by our God tree I read Page 6 about a 38-year-old song. A few hours later I come to get party mode on in the office and that VERY SAME SONG is playing. Nobody can tell me that was not God!!!!
He went before me. He replayed my own Page 6 LIVE. He was asking me again — Sunny days everybody loves them, but can you stand the rain? He parties with us too — even in the rain. We don’t just read the Word, we roll with it.
God Whisper: My daughter, at 6 AM you read the question by our tree, and at the office I sang you the question to start your party. I stand with you in the rain, and I party with you too. 1111.
HOW YOU CAN INCORPORATE THIS — START TOMORROW AT 6 AM
Don’t just read this. Roll with it. Here’s your 4-step daily roll:
1. The God Tree Pause (5 minutes)
Go to your God tree, your altar, your kitchen, your car before work. Read ONE verse — 2 Cor 10:5 or Isaiah 41:10. That’s your walking meditation starting line.
2. The Present Practice (All day)
Every time a worry thought comes, stop and present it out loud: “Okay God, this is what I’m thinking here about __. What do You think?”_ Don’t wrestle it. Present it. That’s taking it captive.
3. The Filter Question (Mine or Yours?)
Ask: “God, what can I do here in this moment? Is this something I need to handle, or something I need to trust You with?”
If it’s yours — do your 0.001% with excellence. Make the call. Clean the car. Say the kind word. If it’s His — release it. Let His 99.999% uphold you. That’s how you keep perfect peace — Isaiah 26:3.
4. The Party Mode in the Rain (Live it)
Put God at the forefront. Before you eat, before you drink, before you decide — “Okay God, we’re here.” Turn on your party mode even when you stood in the rain yesterday with your husband and staff. Show up. Keep hope high. Have honest conversations one moment at a time. One moment — that’s the meditation.
Do that tomorrow. Do that every day. That’s how you learn to love the storms. That’s where you experience God supporting you more than ever.
That’s what We Roll With God means.
Peace.
3 VERSES FROM THE BIBLE
1. 2 Corinthians 10:5 — THE CORE TEACHING
> We demolish arguments and every pretension… and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.
Why it IS this bloggy: This is what Julie trained you on. Not some thoughts — EVERY thought. You don’t wrestle worry, you don’t argue with it — you capture it and present it: “Okay God, this is what I’m thinking here. What do You think?” That’s your walking meditation. That’s how you go from reacting to responding. Every thought becomes a conversation.
2. Isaiah 41:10 — THE ANCHOR FOR YOUR 0.001%
> So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.
Why it IS this bloggy: This is what you say when worry tries to come back — because it will. You said it: “My God is faithful. Nothing too difficult for Him.” You do your 0.001%, He does the strengthening, helping, upholding — the 99.999%. This is the 1111 bakery bag confirmation at your prayer altar: “Nik, My support is with you.” This is why around here we have faith in God and keep hope high.
3. John 16:33 — THE RAIN QUESTION
> In this world you will have tribulation, but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.
Why it IS this bloggy: This is Page 6. This is “Can You Stand The Rain?” Jesus told us — storms will come, this we know for sure. Sunny days everybody loves them. You are teaching readers to love the storms because that’s where you experience God’s support more than ever. You can be positive and confident — like Mo taught you — because whatever God does is well done, whatever He allows is well done. He already overcame the rain you are standing in.
3 VERSES FROM THE TORAH
1. Deuteronomy 31:6 — THE GOD TREE PRESENCE
> Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid… for the Lord your God goes with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you.
Why it IS this bloggy: You were at your God tree at 6 AM. This is why you could walk into the office in party mode after standing in the rain with your husband and staff yesterday. You are not standing in the rain alone — He goes WITH you. Walking meditation means you are not walking TO God, you are walking WITH God all day. That’s how you roll intertwined.
2. Exodus 33:14 — THE WALKING MEDITATION ITSELF
> My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.
Why it IS this bloggy: In Hebrew, My Presence is Panai — My face. This is literally “We Roll With God.” Before you eat, before you drink, before you decide — “Okay God, we’re here.” You bring the jumble, He brings perfect peace — Isaiah 26:3. You don’t have to carry the 99.999%. His Presence goes, you get rest. Your filter question every day: Is this mine to handle, or Yours to carry?
3. Deuteronomy 31:8 — THE 6 AM REPLAY
> The Lord Himself goes before you and will be with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you.
Why it IS this bloggy: This IS your God wink! The Lord HIMSELF goes before you. At 6 AM He went before you to the God tree and gave you Page 6 to read. At 10 AM He went before you to the office to turn on the radio and play “Can You Stand The Rain!” Same song you just read! He DJ’d your Page 6 LIVE. He goes before you to set up the party mode, before the customer walks in asking “Will I get approved?”, before the rain. Nobody can tell you that was not God — Torah says He goes before you to orchestrate the winks.
God Whisper for this set: My daughter, you read the question at 6 AM by the tree, I sang you the question in the office to start your party. I go before you, I go with you. I am your 99.999%.
Here is your Mighty Close Out Prayer for THIS bloggy — your Walking Meditation + 6 AM God Tree Replay:
Our Mighty Close Out Prayer
Abba Father, Okay God, we’re here.
Thank You for this morning by our God tree. Thank You for waking us at 6 AM to read Page 6 again. Thank You for my daughter Julie who has been training me to take every thought captive. Thank You for Mo who taught me that whatever You do is well done.
Father, today we bring You EVERY thought. Not some — every single one. Just like 2 Corinthians 10:5 says. We demolish the arguments, we capture the worry, and we make it obedient to Christ.
So Father, this is what we’re thinking here. What do You think?
When worry comes, teach us not to wrestle it but to present it. Teach us to ask: God, what can I do here in this moment? Is this something I need to handle, or something I need to trust You with?
We bring our 0.001% today, Father — the best of our ability, whatever is in front of us. We will show up. We will have our cars ready, we will have our hearts ready, we will have honest conversations one moment at a time.
And we trust You to do the other 99.999%. Strengthen us and help us and uphold us just like Isaiah 41:10 promises. You are faithful. Nothing too difficult for You.
Father, thank You for teaching us to stand in the rain. Sunny days everybody loves them, but storms will come — John 16:33 says so. But You said be of good cheer, You have overcome the world. So we are learning to love the storms, Father, because that’s where we experience Your support more than ever. That’s where we see Your Presence go with us and give us rest — Exodus 33:14.
You go with us and You go before us — Deuteronomy 31:6 and 31:8. You will never leave us nor forsake us.
Thank You for TODAY’S God wink, Father. At 6 AM by our God tree we read the question: Can You Stand The Rain? A few hours later we walked into our office to get fun party mode on, and You had that VERY SAME SONG playing — Can You Stand The Rain! Same song we just read at 6 AM!
Nobody can tell us this was not You!!!! You replayed Page 6 LIVE for us. You went before us to turn on the radio. You sang us the question to start our party. You reminded us with 1111 on that bakery bag at our prayer altar — Nik, My support is with you.
So Father, we put You at the forefront of all our actions today. Before we eat, before we drink, before we decide, before we answer that customer asking “Will I get approved?” — Okay God, we’re here. Around here we have faith in God.
Your ways are not our ways, Your thoughts are not our thoughts — Isaiah 55:8-9. Whatever You do is well done. Whatever You allow is well done. We trust Your plans are good and great.
Teach us, Father — all of us — to make our life a walking meditation. Do we go right? Do we go left? Do we speak? Do we not speak? We tap in, we discern, we ask, we walk intertwined with You all day, every day.
We don’t just read the Word, Father — we roll with it. We roll with You. In the sun and in the rain. Even in party mode.
In Jesus’ mighty name we pray,
