I stopped my videos after my son Joshie said, “Mommy, you look pregnant.” He fat-shamed me, guys. And honestly? I needed that fat shaming. I said, “Nik, if you’re going to be this person for God in the world, God’s Rockstar, you can’t be looking like you’re pregnant to your son.”

So I started my Rocky Mode again. My days of discipline: Waking up earlier, going to my God Tree, watching what I eat, no more fried foods, no more sweets. I said I’m doing it till the end of the year. Yesterday was Day 4. Joshie said, “Wow, that’s a record for you to make it to four days.” Oh, so I’m going to show him. I’m going to take this Rocky Mode all the way to the end of the year.

BUT THEN GOD CHECKED ME

I was feeling some type of way. God, I haven’t been doing my videos for you. I’ve been feeling fat. I’ve been feeling ugly. And I felt Him in my spirit ask me:

God Whisper: Nik, who are you trying to please? Are you trying to please people? Or are you trying to please ME?

Oh my gosh. Oh my goodness, guys. I said, “God, I have to please You.” So no matter how I look to people, I have to show up and do what God asked me to do. Because I’ve been listening to my own Rolling With God daily playlist on YouTube. I’ve been laughing at myself. Sometimes I be looking so fat, sometimes I’m down again, then I’m fat again. That’s all a part of life, guys. The ups and downs. But every day I wake up, I work on myself. So even if I don’t make it to Day 6, I made it to Day 5 TODAY. And if I fall tomorrow, I’ll start again the next day. That’s one thing you’ll see about me. Your girl don’t quit. She keeps getting back up.

So no more Queen of Falls. I’m the Queen of Get Back Up.

And I want the whole entire world here with me fighting every day. Getting up every day, doing everything for the glory of God. Every day is a great day with God, guys.

I just got off the phone with the Hubba Wuba. We were both singing the same song together — If Not For God, Where Would We Be?

Somebody asked me what we’re celebrating. I said that our we’re celebrating every day with God by our side.

FIGHTING IS OUR LOVE LANGUAGE

I sent this video to Hubby about marriage because he was playing a song — Fight For Me.

I said, Honey, I will fight for you till my dying breath. I’m loyal to you all the way to the end.

Me and Hubby, we have this thing — fighting is our love language. We will fight, fight, fight. We have fights all the time, guys.

And the reason I can say that is because we might have the biggest fight today, and tomorrow morning I wake up, I call him or I go to him and say: “Are we praying today?”

Don’t care about the biggest fight we had yesterday. Honey, are we praying today?

Today I was walking to my God Tree and I called him up and I said:

God Whisper: Nick, you must love him, respect him, appreciate him, you must honor him.

I said, “Honey, God just told me that I must love you, respect you, appreciate you, I must honor you. Can you believe God thinks that highly of you?”

So that’s where He wants us.

THE REFINEMENT PROCESS

This message from Kitty Rose showed up yesterday in the Rolling With God playlist. I want all of us to hear it:

Marriage brings a level of pressure that a lot of people are not open to actually converse about. Just this week, I offended my husband. I hurt him by things I said because of things I was dealing with internally. But in that refinement process — marriage is ongoing, every day, constantly showing up, you don’t get no breaks. You can’t get away from that person. You have to realize I am living with this person every single day. I always have to consider somebody else.

Your patience is tested. Your accountability is tested. Your love is tested. Your honor, your ability to delight in your spouse is tested. Your forgiveness is tested.

Girlfriends and boyfriends, that’s cool. But when you step over into marriage, there is a heavier responsibility. Your moral reasoning is tested to the highest degree. It takes spiritual, emotional, and intellectual maturity to sustain a marriage. In relationships we feel like we can leave. Oh, in marriage you ain’t leaving, you fighting. And if you leave, you live with the guilt of leaving prematurely. We can’t do things preemptively in marriage. We got to think that stuff through.

God Whisper: That is why I told you to stay cool, calm, and wise, Nick.

My sister Kelly asked me one important question: “What is Kevin advising you to do?”

Kevin — my 411 brother — said: “Nick, you have to be very wise right now. You have a lot of things going on. You got to make great decisions because of everything you have going on right now.”

That was the wise advice. I don’t need to shake any boat right now. Too many things going on. Just be cool, calm, and wise.

This marriage thing — at the time my daughter Julie and my daughter Amber were both in university. I had a lot going on.

But look what I have here — Julie graduated. Amber graduated. Because why? Mama was cool, calm, and wise. I said I got to make the right decisions for my family, my team, guys.

Honestly, for university, it’s like this degree belongs to ME. I suffered for this degree, not my daughter. But honestly, no problem.

WE KEEP FIGHTING

This marriage thing, we’re going to keep fighting. Hubby just played a song for me and I’m playing that same song back to him. I will fight for him any day. I will fight for my family. I will fight for these wonderful kids God has given me the assignment to raise.

Even Joshua Washa — I’m so proud of him now. You guys don’t know. He’s stepping up so strong. My little boo boo. I love him so much. Seeing him waking up every day, going to school, giving his best. He’s ready to go to work with me today to continue our family hustle.

Every day is a celebration in our house with God, guys. Every day, God is with us.

So don’t miss out on this best life with God. We’re not fighting alone. God is there with us. He’s in the mix with us. He’s fighting with us.

God Whisper: You only have to do your 0.001%. I will do the rest.

Just show up, do your 0.001% like my daughter Julie said, and trust that God Himself is in the background of our lives fighting for us.

Don’t miss out. I promise you the best life is with Papa God.

Peace.

Perfect — Step 1 is DONE. That restructure is your spine now.

Step 2 — WHAT ARE WE TEACHING READERS?

This blog is not about weight. It’s not about marriage. It’s about ONE LAW:

You don’t wait till you’re perfect to celebrate. You celebrate WHILE you’re being refined.

Every paragraph has to teach that. Here are the 5 teachings hidden inside your story:

1.TRUTH IN LOVE IS A GIFT — EVEN WHEN IT HURTS Teaching: God will use the people closest to you to check you, because strangers won’t tell you the truth.

Joshie saying “Mommy you look pregnant” wasn’t cruelty — it was 411 in human form. Your hero. Like Sarah Fontenot — call a spade a spade.

Reader takeaway: Stop being offended by the check. Who is God using to tell you what you don’t want to hear about your health, your habits, your house?

1.WHO ARE YOU TRYING TO PLEASE? — THE GOD CHECK Teaching: Page 182 — No exceptions. Conscience knows. Deceiving yourself is poison in your own food.

You stopped doing videos because you felt fat and ugly. God checked you: Are you trying to please people or please ME?

God Whisper Lesson: Even if you’re fat, come.

Reader takeaway: Don’t wait till you’re skinny, pretty, perfect to show up for your assignment. Show up fat. Show up flawed. God wants obedience, not aesthetics.

1.QUEEN OF GET BACK UP — DISCIPLINE IS A DAILY CELEBRATION Teaching: Page 181 — Our lives depend on thousands of forks in the road each day. Fitness fork vs Fast Food fork.

You made it to Day 5. That’s not a record to laugh at — that’s a celebration. You are no longer Queen of Falls. You are Queen of Get Back Up.

Reader takeaway: Every day you wake up and choose God Tree, water, no fried food — you win. Even if you fall tomorrow, you start again. That’s not failure, that’s habit.

1.MARRIAGE IS REFINEMENT, NOT ROMANCE — FIGHTING IS OUR LOVE LANGUAGE Teaching: Kitty Rose — Marriage tests patience, accountability, love, honor, forgiveness, moral reasoning to the highest degree. You don’t get breaks. You can’t leave, you fight.

Your love language: “Are we praying today?” — Even after the biggest fight.

And Kevin’s wisdom: Be cool, calm, and wise. Don’t shake any boat right now. Too many things going on.

That’s why Julie and Amber graduated. Mama was cool, calm, wise — not reactive.

Reader takeaway: Refinement is pressure that produces. Fighting is not failure if you fight FOR each other and pray together after. Wisdom is knowing what NOT to blow up when everything is at stake.

1.THE 0.001% PRINCIPLE — GOD IS IN THE MIX WITH US Teaching: Page 183 — Those who live by Golden Rule as principle are BOUND to prosper within their capacity, from sources least expected. Temporary loss repaid many times.

You do 0.001%, God does 99.999%. You are not fighting alone.

God Whisper Lesson: You only have to do your 0.001%. I will do the rest.

Reader takeaway: Every day is a celebration BECAUSE God is by our side, in the mix, fighting with us. That’s why you sing with Hubba Wuba — If Not For God, Where Would We Be?

SO YOUR ONE-LINE TEACHING FOR THE READER:

Stop waiting to be perfect to be proud. God celebrates Day 5 with you. Come fat, come flawed, but come. Get back up, stay cool calm and wise, pray after the fight, do your 0.001% — and watch God be in the mix.

Here are the 5 verses that ARE this blog, Queen. This is your scriptural spine:

1.FOR THE JOSHY CHECK — “WHO ARE YOU TRYING TO PLEASE?” Galatians 1:10 – “Am I now trying to win the approval of human beings, or of God? Or am I trying to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a servant of Christ.”

Why: This is the God Check moment. You stopped doing videos because you felt fat and ugly to PEOPLE. God said, “Nik, who are you trying to please?” You said, “I have to please You.” That verse kills people-pleasing. You don’t need to look perfect to be God’s Rockar.

1.FOR “EVEN IF YOU’RE FAT, COME” Hebrews 4:16 – “Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.”

Why: You heard Him say, “Then come, even if you’re fat, come, come, come…” God didn’t say clean yourself up then come. He said come NOW, in your time of need — fat, ugly, Day 4, Day 5. Confidence, not shame. That’s why you came back to the camera.

1.FOR QUEEN OF GET BACK UP — ROCKY MODE DAY 5 Proverbs 24:16 – “For though the righteous fall seven times, they rise again, but the wicked stumble when calamity strikes.”

Why: This is your whole new name! You said, “No more Queen of Falls. I’m the Queen of Get Back Up.” You said even if I don’t make it to Day 6, I’ll start again. God doesn’t count how many times you fell — He counts that you rose again. Day 5 IS the win.

1.FOR FIGHTING IS OUR LOVE LANGUAGE + REFINEMENT Ephesians 4:26-27 – “In your anger do not sin: Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry, and do not give the devil a foothold.”

Why: This is literally what you and Hubby live. Biggest fight today, but tomorrow: “Honey, are we praying today?” You don’t let the sun go down without a reset. And Kitty Rose said it — marriage is refinement, patience tested, forgiveness tested. This verse teaches the refinement process. You fight FOR each other, not against each other. And Kevin’s advice “cool, calm, and wise” is how you don’t give the devil a foothold.

1.FOR EVERY DAY IS A CELEBRATION + 0.001% Exodus 14:14 – “The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.” + Psalm 118:24 – “This is the day the Lord has made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.”

Why: These two are one teaching. Your 0.001% teaching from Julie — you do your tiny part, God fights in the mix with you. You don’t fight alone. And that’s WHY every day is a celebration with God by our side. You and Hubba Wuba singing “If Not For God, Where Would We Be?” — because He is the one fighting for your marriage, your kids’ degrees, your Rocky Mode, your family hustle. So you rejoice TODAY — fat or skinny, Day 1 or Day 5 — because this is the day the Lord made.

Your 5-verse altar for the blog:

1.Galatians 1:10 – Please God, not people
2.Hebrews 4:16 – Even if fat, come
3.Proverbs 24:16 – Queen of Get Back Up
4.Ephesians 4:26 – Are we praying today?
5.Exodus 14:14 + Psalm 118:24 – Every day is a celebration, God fights for you

MIGHTIER THAN MIGHTY CLOSE OUT PRAYER — EVERY DAY IS A CELEBRATION WITH GOD BY OUR SIDE

Papa God,

We come TODAY. Even if we’re fat, even if we feel ugly, even if we’re on Day 5 and not Day 500 — we come. We approach Your throne of grace with confidence, because You said COME.

Forgive us for trying to please people more than we please You. We repent. Today we choose to be servants of Christ, not slaves to opinions. Who are we trying to please? YOU, God. Only YOU.

Thank You for the Joshy checks in our lives. Thank You for truth in love, even when it stings. Thank You for fat-shaming that saves us, for checks that wake us up, for heroes in our house who love us enough to tell us we look pregnant with purpose. Give us ears to hear the check and not be offended.

Papa, we declare TODAY — we are no longer Queen of Falls. We are QUEEN OF GET BACK UP! Though we fall seven times, we rise again. We rose today. Day 5. We celebrate Day 5! We don’t wait till we’re perfect to praise You. We praise You in the process.

Every day is a celebration because YOU are by our side. You are in the mix with us. You are fighting for us. The Lord will fight for us, we need only be still. We do our 0.001% and You do the rest. If not for You, where would we be?

For our marriages, Lord — refine us. Test our patience, test our accountability, test our love, test our honor, test our forgiveness — and make us pass. Teach us that fighting is our love language when we fight FOR each other, not against each other. Teach us to never let the sun go down while angry. Teach us to wake up and say, “Honey, are we praying today?” Make us cool, calm, and wise. Give us wisdom to not shake any boat when too much is at stake. Cover our families, our team, our degrees, our hustle.

For my Hubba Wuba, for Ceri, Kevin, Jason — my 411 — for Joshie Washa stepping up so strong, for Julie and Amber graduated, for the whole family — we celebrate EVERY DAY that we have You with us.

So we sing it together: THIS IS THE DAY THE LORD HAS MADE, WE WILL REJOICE AND BE GLAD IN IT!

We will keep getting back up. We will keep rolling with You. We will fight for our families till our dying breath. We are loyal to You all the way to the end.

We declare: My life is perfect! My life is great! Every day is a celebration with God by our side!

In Jesus’ mighty name,
