I’ve reached new levels of happiness and, of course, I want you guys here with me, and I promise not to mention anything about fasting. LOL!
I think the bottom line of where this joy is coming from is that God has been working on strengthening my faith in Him. Like yesterday, after writing my post for the day, I got a feeling from Him to include this line and specifically in capital letters:
“… AND TO TRUST THAT HE (God) IS IN CONTROL OF EVERYTHING AND EVERYONE.”
Shortly after writing that, I decided to have an appointment with Him, reading my book from exactly where I had last left off, and God confirmed it, that HE IS IN CONTROL OF EVERYTHING when this old post incredibly showed up:
“A SMALL STORY WITH A BIG MEANING
I’m still thinking about a morning when I sat reading through posts on the Tumblr.com website where I go to hear from God. _
I stopped at one that read, “I have decided to follow Jesus,” and I started singing the song with these exact words to myself in my head. Maybe 20 minutes later, my hubby comes in and out of nowhere he started singing the very same song too, “I have decided to follow Jesus.” I thought to myself, Wasn’t that the same song I was just singing to myself in my head? I rushed back to the Tumblr.com site and indeed it was the very song I was singing. Now, what are the chances of that happening? _
The BIG meaning I’m taking from this story is that God is in total control. We want to control our little worlds, including people and circumstances, but God was saying to me, Nik, I’m the one in control of everything! In quietness and confident trust is our strength. We’re not going by the ordinary rules of man. God is working behind the scenes of our lives, and when we trust Him, He works everything out on our behalf. We don’t need to stress ourselves worrying how we will control things, but instead, we can let go, handing situations over to God. We then follow God’s will for us in every moment, trusting our spirit/gut to guide us.”
And that small story with a BIG meaning sums up why I’m so happy, lately. I’m relaxed because I trust God is behind the scenes working everything out on my behalf. I’ve let go of trying to control people and situations, trusting that God knows precisely what’s best for me at any given moment. My job is to follow His leading, trusting my spirit/gut to guide me along life’s (sometimes treacherous) paths.
I’m free to, therefore, suck up as much enjoyment out of every moment KNOWING MY GOD IS WITH ME.

Dear God, may our faith and confidence in You grow stronger every day. Amen.
