I want us making Him our life Partner where we’re going to him in the 1,000 choices we make every day!!! Like yesterday, our manager and I needed to decide on a customer he spent two days working a deal on. I asked him to call my husband for his input, but he was busy. I then said, “One thing I noticed about my hubs is that he is very instinctual. He pays attention to his gut.” I gave him an example of when my husband met me. After knowing me for only one day, he got on his knees and prayed, “God, thank You for helping me to find my wife.” That was nineteen years ago, and we’re even more committed and loyal to each other than ever. God has exceeded our expectations!
So, that one decision was my husband paying attention to his gut/intuition/instincts/Holy Spirit within him. It has led our lives on a beautiful path. And since then, I’ve noticed that he is highly instinctual in following his gut feelings. He would make some decisions that I completely don’t understand, but in the end, I see where it would turn out to be so wise.
But back to that decision at the office. Since we were unable to get my husband’s advice, I said let’s do what I see him do -follow his gut. When we thought about it that way, we both were uneasy about the direction we thought about going, and that was our cue from God – DON’T DO THAT. God always answers with a yes, no doubts. Doubts mean DON’T from God.
I want us to go to God in every decision! When we feel uneasy, doubtful, hesitant about something, let’s rethink and ask God again what He would have us to do. PRAY WITHOUT CEASING. Excitement, enthusiasm, good vibes are God saying yes, go this way. And that’s what we did; we went with the decision that brought us peace.
Don’t forget about your appointments with God, where you learn His personality, character, and the person He is calling us to be. Like love, faithfulness and loyalty are significant to God. He reminded me recently that even if me and hubs go through the darkest nights, we can still bounce back and stay hopeful that our best days are STILL ahead of us. Heehaw!
