As I get closer to God! Woohoo!!! Oh my goodness, He makes me feel so loved. Like I called my sister, Verona, to tell her how I’m STILL trying to free myself from the SHACKLES of mental slavery. I get so upset at myself for thinking THE WRONG THINGS. I even sent her an old video I did about this same freeing myself from shackles issue at around 9 pm with a text saying, “The chains are coming off, baby.”
Fast forward to the very next morning after 6 am, I opened up a book that I recently found and placed in our bathroom. It incredible said:
“Enclosed and SHACKLED (Wink! Wink), he cried to God for help.”
For that word “shackled” to show up was no ordinary coincident. It was God reminding us all that He is intimately involved in our lives, including our struggles. I opened DIRECTLY to that page! God is pretty talkative once you get to know Him!
Then, the title of that page was ‘Freed from Our Cage,’ when the crazy thing was that I had just told my daughter, Julie, about an Instagram post with a picture of an open cage with a bird flying out of it. I honestly felt it was God saying I should release my husband from the cage I was trying to confine him to, not knowing it was God saying I need releasing also. (LOL!!!) The book continued:
“And with thundering power, He “reached down…and took hold” of him. God can do the same for us. He can break the chains and release us from our confining cages. He can set us free and carry us “out into a spacious place.” How sad it is, then when we keep running in small circles, as if we’re still confined in our old prisons. In His strength, may we no longer be bound by fear, shame, or oppression. God has rescued us from those cages of death. We can run free.”
Amen! I claim this for us all. May anything that is holding us down and holding us back be removed by God’s strength. I need these awful thoughts to go from my head. What do you need removed? Let’s cry out to God, and by His strength, may we tackle them. Even if we fall a million times, let’s rise up a million and one, striving to be the excellent, going the extra mile in love, faith, and hope people He would have us to be. All for His glory. Amen.
Opening directly to this page was God’s sweet way of reminding us that He is in the fire with us. He is in the dungeon with us. He is in the storms of life with us. I pray we can recommit our lives to Him today as we make Him the center of all our decisions, not making any move without discussing it with Him first. We do our best and leave the rest with Him. (Wink! Wink!) Amen.
