The other day I posted one of my videos on Instagram using a filter. But, in my spirit, I didn’t feel like God wanted me using one, and I went back to remove it, and I posted and an unfiltered original. Right after that, a live feed with Justin Bieber suddenly popped up on my screen, and I freaked out like I was a teenage girl, all excited. I’m so in love with his new album, Changes, which I have been bragging to everyone that it’s my love note from God. So, during one of the conversations Justin had with one of his fans, she told him how much she liked the Acoustic version of his song Intentions. When the live feed was over, I rushed to listen, and the song incredibly begins:“Picture perfect you don’t need no filter (Wink! Wink!) Gorgeous, make them drop dead, you’re a killer”To hear these lyrics minutes after I felt God saying to remove that filtered video was God showering me His love and attention. I played that song repeatedly, feeling like God was singing it directly to me. Woke up in the middle of the night playing it. Woke up the next morning, and played it repeatedly again for my morning’s appointment with God. Totally feeling so special.Shortly after that, I go for my run, and because my mom asked to use my phone, I grabbed my daughter Ember’s. I picked a workout from my Nike Run Club app, and the song that was first to play was incredibly this very song, Intentions. Of all the songs on the world, for this song to show up on my daughter’s phone (not even my phone!), after I felt it was God singing it to me, was no coincident. It was God revealing His invisible, sweet Presence that is ALWAYS with me.And He’s with you, too!!! I’m just the crazy God nerd who pays attention to these glimmers from Him. Notice how I paid attention to my spirit that said to take down that filtered video. God is always speaking to us, and I want us knowing His voice. Especially now more than ever. Let’s have constant conversations with God as to every move we make trusting Him to guide us safely through this storm.“Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High _ will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.I will say of the Lord, “He is my refuge and my fortress, _ my God, in whom I trust.” – Psalm 91:1-2WEROLLWITHGOD.COM |
