I’m having such a fun time with this line my son, Joshie, taught me from a TikTok video. This light, funny, happy, joyful, kind, loving, forgiving, cool, gentle, and friendly personality is what I’m stealing from this son. I had the best time with him last night watching TV in their room. He wanted to play video games, but this precious little guy, instead, cuddled next to me, bringing me grapes and a cinnamon roll that we enjoyed together. He didn’t even mention the games until I was leaving, saying one of his friends was waiting to play with him. His brother, Emmie, came in saying that I was the best mom because I push him always to give his best, which he loved about me. I left that room feeling so grateful and happy to have such a beautiful family, y’all. I sucked up every moment of enjoyment with them! I’m blessed!
I have to give thanks to God, who is in the background of my life, helping me to enjoy it so much more. He is my Therapist helping me to be my happiest and best self. For real! For real! God turns all my weaknesses, failures, mistakes, hurts, sadness, pain, disappointments, insecurities, anger, bitterness, rejections, humiliations, falls, stumbles, anxieties, stresses, insults, miseries, guilt, inadequacies, and doubts into HUGE wins when I use them ALL to get closer to Him!
Like yesterday, after writing this in my post:
“My new mindset is to look to God in every moment, LEANING ON HIM MORE and other humans way less. So help me, God!” It was 5:30, so I went to page 30 of our family’s website, and look what incredibly showed up, written as if God was speaking directly to me: “LEARN TO LEAN ON ME more and more (Wink! Wink!).” – Jesus Calling
For that “LEARN TO LEAN ON ME more and more” after I wrote minutes before that I’m leaning on Him more, was His way of coming through and revealing His invisible and loving Presence that is always with me. He plants all these sweet reminders throughout my days to remind me that I can take on this joyful demeanor from Joshie, knowing God Himself walks with me, as I take on this fantastic adventure with Him as my First Love and Guide.
I’m going into 2022 as God’s girl fully and completely, more committed than ever to walking closer with Him. I’m not only thanking God for all my falls, mistakes, and wretchedness of 2021 that have opened my eyes to where I can improve, be wiser, stronger, and braver, I’M LOVING THEM! They have pushed me closer to God, where I know I’m deeply cherished, supported, loved, and approved of by Him. No other love is necessary. May 2022 bring us ALL even closer to Him! Amen!
