SUNDAY MORNINGS ARE HARD

Away from my hubby and sons in Nigeria!!! This is usually our family’s chill day at home together. But I just remind myself that weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning. Like my Julie said, “Mom, you’re on a mission!” And I’ve happily accepted that mission as God’s Geek Mom, helping my daughters to become the best versions of themselves, all for His glory, of course. They both just left me in Starbucks to write this as they went off on a little errand by themselves. Ember even wants to begin driving!!! God help us!

Perspective is everything! I’m looking at this time in Florida as a new adventure with God. He continues to show up everywhere! Like the other day, picking up the girls from school, I decided to call a friend. We had spoken that morning about a hurtful experience and I decided to give her another call to say that sometimes in relationships we just have to pretend we’re blind and deaf, pretending we don’t see what we see or hear what we hear. About 15 minutes later after hanging up from her, I accidentally went in the wrong pick up lane to get the girls and got stuck in this long line of traffic. I said, let me use that opportunity to have an appointment with God, and right after telling my friend that we should be BLIND, the very book I decided to continue reading from incredibly said:

“LOVE TO BE BLIND (Wink! Wink!), since it is I (God) who am leading you if you really want to put your hand in Mine.”

Honestly, this is where I am in my life, LOVING TO BE BLIND with my hands in God’s hand with Him leading the way. I have no doubt that He is the one who has led me on this path away from hubs and the boys for a little bit. I continually feel His Presence here with me. I see how He is helping me with the right people showing up, the right ideas, direction, and solutions magically coming in my spirit, and the constant God winks showing up along the way. I’m feeling like God’s special girl!

And with all this love I’m getting from God, I’m giving Him even MORE of my love and respect. Can God have some of your love? Let’s take some time right now to tell Him how much we love and appreciate all that He does and will continue to do for us. And then putting our hands in the hands of the Man who controls everything. He should be our first love and priority with us remembering that He is with us in every moment of our lives for support, comfort, love, wisdom, and help.
